ALPHA GOES ROGUE...SIXTH MONTH IN A ROGUE PACK.

— ALEXA—AND THE DREAM...

"Been a long time brother. Isn't it" A blurred face came into view towards me. It made a small impatient gesture, as if to say the gesture was hardly worth making. He quickly turned and switched off the record. His movement seemed as if he floated through the wind. I squinted, to make something of the ethereal façade.

"Come forward. Get up." he commanded me. I was coming towards him in an instant. Everything seemed to be happening in a mirror-like state. The shackles loosened themselves and I was floating towards him in an instant.

"It is sad that you're the last man standing. Everything has been taken away from you. Your Pack, your possessions, and the woman you dearly loved. They've all been taken away from you. Isn't that sad. You are here only because all our plans have been made futile. So tell me-"

Perhaps I hadn't died after all.

"Who are you and where am I? And what do you want from me?" I cowered when a sharp light from the reflection hurt my eyes. I began to panic.

The sorcerer let out a sickening, soulless, and sinister cackle before turning to me sharply. This moment he was at my back, the next moment he was beside me whispering indistinct words into my ears. I looked in the mirror and saw something else. A hunched, grey skeleton stood before me. I flinched and the image flinched. Was that me? I asked and slowly touched the mirror, the skeleton touched the mirror as well. I flinched again. No, this wasn't me. This could never be me.

The creature's face seemed to be protruded, because of its hunched spine. There was no hair and there was plenty of beard which molted with each passing minute. There was a barrel of cheekbone that protruded to give me a simian appearance. Then everything came rushing back to me. I knew that voice as much as I knew mine. I knew that voice.

"Alpha Allan?"

The voice answered in response. "Now you know"

I woke up from the dream, panting heavily.

"What's up everyone"

I sharply swerved in the direction of the voice to stare at the imposing frame that leaned on a corner of the door. I groaned when I saw who stood in the doorway. A ghost of a smile was spread across his face when he greeted.

His manly arms were folded across his barrel-like chest. He glanced around the room one more time before he came in, walking in that chiefly gait. Walker had been made one of the Lords of the rogue Pack when he came in.

I was still trying to get my head over this matter. Nothing of that sort had ever been done but it was rumoured that he was a very great warrior and personality in his former Pack.

I guess that was why the Alpha had given him the position of a lord quickly. He was a very lively person, so it didn't take time before he got to know everyone in the Pack. He seemed to be too jovial with people around him, especially women who admired him.

But that was a bit different in my case. Up till now, I still found it hard to believe that my sister and I had been banished. I could only imagine what my parents would be going through at this point.

I was banished because of my pregnancy for the commoner while my sister had been banished long before now because she had not yet found her mate.

That was my only ray of hope here in the rogue Pack. To cap it all, I had lost the baby last year, so I was also recovering from that shock. But that was not the case whenever Walker was around. He was always looking for something to say to me.

I could only call his behaviour towards me an obsession. He always seemed to care but I was always uncomfortable whenever he was around. He did not know I was only trying to accommodate him. If not I would have told him what I had in my life long ago.

But aside from that I also admired him. Every girl here in the Pack admired him so much that some made their desire for him so obvious. Walker was simply "So hot", the kind of guy every she-wolf in the Pack wanted. I continued to stare at him as he walked into the security department.

I wondered what he came here to do. Maybe he had been sent to deliver some kind of information. This was the last place I expected Walker to be since he was just accepted into the Pack. The rest who had come after me always took some months before they could begin to converse freely among the other members of the Pack. The time they spent in isolation was usually to recover from what might have caused them to be here. My recovery isn't yet over. That was why I got moody sometimes. For Walker, that was not the case.

He seemed to be a carefree human being. But on second thought, I reckoned that what might have brought him here was not something very serious. Some said it was because of his not being able to find his mate.

I was still wondering what had brought him to the department this morning when Eve greeted him. "Walker," she said as she stood up from her seat, struggling with standing amidst her large tummy that denoted that she was pregnant.

She was already finding it difficult to stand but she had been coming to work because it would help her exercise rather than staying in one place and getting weaker and weaker.

She smiled before speaking to him half-distractedly. "You are the new guy right?" she asked. He replied immediately.
