The Raid

In a garden filled with roses and other beautiful flowers. A girl was seen seated on a garden bench. She was staring intently at the flowers.

She placed her hand right above a dying rose and it blossomed once again. She stood above the empty ground and placed her hand on the ground, making more flowers bloom. The garden looked very beautiful.

The girl, whose hair was shinny and long. Her auburn hair matched the setting sun in autumn. Her skin was as white as snow and her brows were thick and perfect for her beautiful amber eyes.

Alpha Leo came into the garden and watched her perform her resurrection magic on the flowers. However, he was displeased with this act of hers.

It's been thirteen years since Leo and Rose found Snow at the beach. They've cared for her and loved her limitlessly. Even when they found out that she was special and had special powers. They tried to find out what she was, but no one knew. Hence, they decided to keep her powers hidden until they were able to find out who she really was.

Snow usually visit the garden because that was the only place, she could be herself and use her powers.

Leo snuck behind her and was about to tickle her, but before he could touch her, Snow whizzed past him at lightning speed, and before he could realize, she was already standing behind him.

"Father, it's bad manners to sneak up on people," Snow chided.

"Really?" Leo Chuckled. "You are grown up now, aren't you?" He pulled her cheek. "So grown that you're using my words against me?" Leo chuckled and tried to pinch Snow's nose.

Snow giggled as she jumped on his back.

"Don't do that daddy, I'm not a baby anymore."

"Oh really? I can see that." Leo placed her before him and feigned a frown. "How many times have I told you not to do that?"

"Do What?" Snow asked, feigning ignorance.

Leo shook his head. He was afraid of what the pack members would do when they find out that she has so many powers.

"Snow, you have to listen to father, and don't keep showing your powers."

"But Father, I wasn't showing my powers to anyone," Snow looked down sadly.

"Promise me, Snow," Leo placed his hand out.

Snow shook her head in refusal. She knew what he was asking for. However, it was too difficult to comply. How could she live without using her powers? Her powers were a part of her, after all. Asking her to live without using her powers was like asking her to live without breathing.

"But Father, I only show my powers in here."

"I know that my dear," Leo agreed. But he knew that as long as she keeps using those powers, she will get into trouble someday. "Yes, I know you only use your powers in here, but still it's dangerous because anyone can walk in here and see you."

Snow laughed out loud and held her belly before it burst from laughing too much. "You're kidding, right?"

"No, I'm not."

"But you know that it is impossible for anyone to sneak up on me. I'll catch them before they do."

"I know that, dear." Leo nodded and pursed his lips. He felt bad for doing that to her, but he was willing to do anything just to keep her safe.

He rubbed her cheek and raised her chin, making her look directly at him. "But I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you won't show your powers here or anywhere else. No one must find out about your powers."

"But, father, I..." Snow was about to refuse.

"Promise me, Snow." Leo insisted, He opened his palm before her.

Seeing that her father was persistent, Snow sighed and nodded with reluctance.

"Okay, father."

"Thanks, dear." Leo hugged Snow and tickled her to lighten up her mood.

"Father, don't tickle me."

Snow squirmed and tried to free herself from him. As soon as was free, she ran out of Leo's hold and went out of the garden.

"Snow Wait!" Leo called as he ran behind her.

"Father, catch me if you can." Snow shouted as she ran. She went into her room and hid behind the wardrobe.

"Snow, honey, where are you? l"

Leo came into the room and searched for her, but she was nowhere to be seen. He called out to her but there was no response. He sniffed the air to try to look for her scent but he knew that Snow was a master at hiding her scent.

"I know you are in here, Snow."

Snow covered her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from giggling aloud. Then, Leo went to the door and pretended to lock it.

Snow came out of her hiding spot thinking her father was gone, but her leg was suddenly caught from under the table.

"I have caught a naughty little mouse." Leo commented as he stepped out from under the table.

"Father, that was cheating."

"When did I cheat?" Leo asked with a raised brow. "That is called being wise, not cheating."

"Really?"

"Of course, my dear." He ruffled her hair and they both laughed.

"So, here you are." Rose's voice came from the doorway as she stepped into the room.

"I always know where to find you."

"Were you looking for me?"Leo asked as Rose came in.

"Yes, and I have searched everywhere for you."

"Oh. But why?" Leo asked, wondering why Rose was looking all that over for him.

Rose looked in Snow's direction and smiled.

"Your teacher is around, dear, you should go."

"Okay, mother." Snow left the room and headed to the roof top where her teacher was indeed waiting.

"Leo, your beta, and Zeta are here to see you." Rose announced when she was sure that Snow was out of earshot.

Leo sighed as he stood up, but Rose grabbed his hand.

"Is this about that rogue Alpha threatening to take over the pack?"

"It is." He replied honestly. He had no reason to lie to his wife.

"What exactly does he want?" She asked.

Everytime they mention that rouge alpha, Rose would always wonder what his enmity was with the pack and why he was hell bent on ceasing it.

"He wants the pack."

"Why?" Rose sat beside Leo.

"Felix is my cousin and he believes that his father was the one deserving of the Alpha position instead of mine. And now, he thinks he is deserving of the post than I am. He wants to be the Alpha," Leo explained.

"That is wrong." Rose sighed. "How can he covet what doesn't belong to him?"

"Well, I wish my cousin would realize this." Leo sighed.

"What do you plan to do now?"

"I'll do all it takes to protect my pack." He stood after placing a light kiss to her cheek. "Right now, I'll go join the others for the meeting."

"Greetings to the Alpha," Everyone greeted as Leo stepped into the pack house.

"We are here to inform you of the latest discovery the scouts made at the border," Collins relayed to Leo as he took his seat at the head chair.

Collins was Leo's childhood best friend and also his beta.

"What have they discovered?" Leo asked.

"They have found some strange men lurking around the border. They seem to be Felix's spies."

"What?" Leo was alarmed. "Has he come so close that he now sends spies to my pack?"

"Yes, Leo. In fact, we suspect that he has some spies buried inside the pack," Zeta Charles also added.

"Does that mean we might have been compromised?"

"That is what we think, and that is the reason behind this meeting," Charles placed some papers on the table. "We need to re-strategize. Because, if the enemies already know our....."

Before Charles could complete his words a guard rushed into the meeting room, panting heavily.

"Alpha... Raid!" He bowed before Leo.

"What is it?" Leo barked angrily. "Why have you interrupted the meeting?"

The guard raised his head and pointed outside.

"The Pack..... The pack.... is under attack!
