Chapter 10: The City at the Center of the World

Date: 15th of May 2042 | 3:45 PM

Location: Fuyuki, Japan

"Ciudad Mitad del Mundo in Ecuador" Lein said

"Ecuador? Abroad?" Haruka asked

"YEP!!! Are you excited to go abroad for the first time?" Lein asked

"Wait, We are coming too?" I asked

"YEEEP it's a must, unless you want Fuyuki to be a battleground, I recommend going there and participate in the war." He answered

"But why in there in the… uhmmm Ciudad Mundo….. Something?"

"Well, why not for the final holy grail war it is better to settle things right at the center of this world… well technically it is the city at the center of this world"

"Then..... when are we going there?"

"The sooner the better…"

"Tomorrow?"

"Yup, because the other Masters are already in there. I guess the two of us are running late and the Master yesterday"

"I see, then I guess we should prepare things now. You alright with that Haruka?"

"Yup anything works fine"

"How about your parents?" he asked

"We will just leave a note"

"That's a problem but we have no choice" Lein said

After that we prepared everything we need, we are not really sure of what to bring in there but Lein said that we should bring the bare minimum because we might be ambushed on our way there. So we only brought light luggages like an extra clothes, magic stones, and miscellaneous stuffs.

After we finished preparing we ate and went to rest…

And tomorrow came…

"It is still early can't I sleep like for 5 more minutes" Lein asked while rubbing his eyes

"NO, you are the one who said yesterday that we should go the sooner the better!!!" I replied in anger

"Lein is right Ken.... it is still really early… it is only 6:45 can't.... we adjust it to 7? I am still.... really..... really..... sleepy…." Haruka also asked with a sleep eyes

"NO!!!"

"Let's sleep for another hour Lein" Haruka suggested and laid down to the sofa.

"Yep agreed" Lein agreed and followed suit and laid down to the floor

"WAKE UUUUUUUUPPPP!!!!!!!!" I shouted

The two of them stood up suddenly

"PRESEEENNTTT" they shouted in surprise

"EH????"

"Are you two siblings?" I asked

The two of them looked at each other and laughed

"Well I guess since I am younger I should call Haruka as Haruka-nee or Nee-chan?" Lein suggested

Haruka's eyes lit up in excitement "RIGHT RIGHT!!!! I've always wanted a little brother!!!! Then from now on do not forget to call me as one!" Haruka replied in excitement

"ROGER THAT!!! Haru-nee!!!!"

They then started laughing... It's annoying…

"LET'S GO!!!"

"Are you really that excited to go abroad, Ken?" Haruka teased

"Maybe, he really is... well I can't blame him I was also excited from my first time going abroad" Lein added

In my anger I smacked the two of them on the head once

They held their heads in pain

"AWWW…. That hurts Ken…." Haruka said in tears

"This is the last time… Let's go"

We then went out

"Ken is really scary when he is angry" Lein commented

Haruka nodded

"And whose fault is that I wonder?"

They both laughed quietly

"So where are we going?" I asked Lein

"Ah! Right don't be surprised…" he replied and led the way "Actually it will be faster if we just run from here" he added

"Where are we even going?" Haruka asked

"An airport" he answered

"Airport? Wait an airport? It is far from here" I asked

He laughed "You don't have to worry Haru-nee is faster than the cars and I can also ran that far though not as fast as Haru-nee"

They are really immersed in the siblings role

"Wait… run from here to there that is… crazy"

"No no no…. This is called being thrifty…" he smiled "Haru-nee can you carry Ken and ran?" he asked

"EH"

"Roger that Lil bro!!!" Haruka replied and carried me by her shoulder

"WAAAAIIIIIIIITTT!!!!" I shouted as they took me away

The two of them running faster than cars… this is making me feel sick… my stomach.... I want to puke...

"Hang in there Ken" Haruka said while running around 180 km/hr... she is really a servant

"Do I look alright???"

"You look perfectly fine for me" Lein said while he is keeping up on Haruka's speed

"Oh don't talk to much or you might bite your tongue"

I don't know how he is keeping up with the speed of Haruka… Come to think of it… I haven't seen his servant again, the one he called chief… is he in spiritual form?

.....After running for almost 2 hours we arrived in a forest and decided to take a rest…

"I'm beat" Haruka shouted while fanning herself and wiping her sweat

"Haha I'm also tired…" Lein said while also wiping his sweat

"Am I the only one who is doing nothing?" I asked

The two of them looked at me

"Well it can't be helped"

"Ah right it can't be helped hehe"

"Isn't that a round about way of saying I'm useless" I asked

"No no you're wrong Ken, you are uhmm…. RIGHT!!! Useful when it counts!!" she shouted

"Anyways when will we arrive to the airport?" I asked

"IGNORED!!!" Haruka shouted

"Hmm… you can already see it from here" he answered

See it from here? I can only see trees and grasses here is he joking?

"I'm not kidding you know. I forgot to say this but it is hidden with magecraft"

I see then if it is hidden with magecraft how can we see it?

"Let's go" Lein invited

We walked for a few minutes and arrived at a wide plains

"It's here" he said and he raised his hands

The moment he raised his hand the seemingly wide plains slowly became a what looks like a stronghold… A large wall made with what looks like reinforced concretes it is further reinforced with magecrafts and mythril golems guarding the front gates…

"You are finally here… Master of Berserker" a woman in maid uniform greeted us, she is small around 158 cm and has the aura of a dangerous maid

"Yo. Aiko-san"

The girl named Aiko-san bowed in greeting

"Let me introduce them to you Aiko-san… He is Ken and she is Haru-nee, they are both the new master of the East"

We bowed in Lein's introduction

Aiko-san looks at us as if she is observing us

"I don't know what he said to the 2 of you. But let me formally introduce myself. I am Aikawa Aiko, one of the generals of the newly created association called "The Prophets" she also bowed in greeting

The Prophets

A newly created association, even though it is newly created it can contend with the major powers like Mages Association, Clock Tower, and Atlas Institute.

It has a lot of mages mostly people who are rejected from different Associations but all of them are talented, they have fewer members other than the other major powers but one must never underestimate them.

They have 4 generals and all of them are famous mage killer in the world. This is also one of the reason why they can contend with major powers.

In normal circumstances, they should be a wanted group but the world of mages is quite in disarray. Thus, there reason for existence.
