104 Fainted

'System, filter the antidotes that can help me with my current situation.'

On my mind, a bunch of antidotes with cost from five to thousands of system point. Most of them were flasks, herbs or syringes.

I pick a syringe that cost 25 system points and injected directly on my leg.

I don't think this was going to be enough, but at least it would help me resist a little more, I think that once the battle is over, I will be able to get either detox or poison resistance from the mission. Also, if this gets worse, I always can buy a more expensive one.

I focused on the snakes, the snake with the extra head was the one pierced by Zak, I think that one of the heads is smaller than the other.

The 3 Snakes were already surrounding me, all of them had that weird changing aura, the color the form everything about it changed constantly. The 2 single-headed snakes went to my sides.

Cai-Cai and Dante were near, to support me if I need help but after what just happen we couldn't hurt them, or it might mean another head or another snake appearing. I was looking straight to the two-headed snake.

I need fire, somehow I need to burn them or see if cauterizing the wounds works to stop the regeneration.

Using time distortion in the right moment to avoid the attack proved to be useful, but the poison made my movement slower than usual despite the use of the antidote, also since it wasn't one of the higher tiered ones, it probably was going to work slowly.

Even with my sluggishness, the worst part of the fight was that I was limited to avoid attacks while avoiding I kept looking for a place to make a fire with a lot of things to burn.

I wanted to try cutting them make a fire and throw them on it before they recover, but with my body like this, it was difficult to pull that off. I wanted to buy something from the system, but the snake's eyes were all on me waiting for the moment I get distracted.

One of the snakes jumped at me when I tried to see how Zak's fight was going. I moved out of the way and fall, I forced myself to roll away to avoid the other two snakes that came to bite my legs. Since their speed was reduced by time distortion, I managed to get away without turning my back to them.

'System get me an incendiary bomb.'

A metallic cylinder similar to the flashbang I used before appeared on my hand, without thinking too much I pushed two buttons at the same time threw it in front of me.

I left that place and the snakes as I saw the fire spread, but the two-headed snakes and one of the single-headed moved forward before they got on fire.

I stood in my place and avoided the first snake and cut down the second one. Now that I threw that bomb I had to defeat both and throw them to the fire too.

The two-headed snake that was left didn't jump but waited, like if it knew what my plan was. Usually, that snake didn't jump towards me and instead tried to attack at my legs like before, It might be related to the fact that it was difficult to jump straight with one head bigger than the other.

Dante appeared behind that snake, and both heads turned around to focus on him and Cai-Cai. I took this chance and managed to arrive at the remains of the snake that I just cut down, and throw them into the fire that will burn out soon. I didn't get any notification, but since it was part of the same snake technically, I haven't killed it yet.

The antidote was still fighting the poison on my body. I felt the same as before, with all I had to move the poison had spread faster than it should, and it would take a little more for the antidote to work correctly. There was also the possibility that the antidote I chose wasn't strong enough, but the system said that it should work right? The fever doesn't let me think too well, so I thought that if this continues, I will need a stronger antidote.

At least this time we had a numerical advantage. The snake has both heads watching at Cai-Cai who was moving around to call its attention, I tried to gather the strength I had left and thrown the tomahawk to the snake.

The axe was spinning in the air and cleanly cut the snake on the middle, both pieces started to twist in pain, I tried to walk forward and throw them on the remains of the fire, but I fell down.

Cai-Cai understood my intentions and moved to threw them into the fire before it burned out.

The other fight was almost over too. I was waiting for the notification of the kill of the snake. But it never came.

I focused on my body situation, I didn't feel danger so I knew that the antidote was working, slowly but working.

As the other fight was ending, I closed my eyes waiting for the mission completion to arrive but fainted before it came.

'SPENCE! SPENCE! WAKE UP'

Rose was desperate at Spencer side trying to wake him up. I'm not sure if it helped, but she used that weird white light thingy with Lucy again. I think he looks comfier now.

I looked at Cai-Cai who was worried and felt guilty about bringing those snakes here.

Rose started to cry and blame herself.

I started to think that I might be guilty too…

'He will be ok Rose, he used an antidote, and it's working. You know that you can feel it.'

'I know that!! But he is in pain, and it's my fault! I felt something weird in the forest! I decided to go there and see what was happening! I brought the snake that bit him!!'

I didn't know what to do. I tried to calm her down with my power, but it didn't work.

Hope was running on this way, she dropped her rifle as soon as she noticed Spence fall down. The other fight already ended so we should leave this place soon.

"Spence, Spence talk to me!" She took her brother's shoulders and tried to move him a little.

Leon got here after finishing their fight and got on his knees next to Spencer, Gabriel appeared carrying both rifles and helped Zak survey the surroundings to be sure that there was nothing dangerous anymore.

"Don't move him."

Leon stopped rose and checked both bites on his leg. He took out his shoe and covered the wound with a cloth to protect it.

"Gabriel go to the apartments around and bring me a couple of blankets we need to carry him back without moving him."

Gabriel nodded and left right away.

I went to Rose's side and called her attention.

'Rose, calm down, you need to go back and look for Isabella and G, tell them that he got bitten by a snake, and try to meet us midway the streets are almost empty, and I'm moving the remaining ones out of the way.'

I knew that she didn't want to leave Spencer's side, but this will help more than having her crying at his side. She nodded and disappeared as if she was sucked by Spencer, I put on her head the path we will be taking so we don't miss each other on the way.

The next happened in a flash. They immobilized Spencer with a bunch of blankets and Cai-Cai used her strength to drag him back. Hope had her rifle again, and I had to do my best for her to keep calm while she glanced from at Spencer from time to time.

I already told her that he was going to be okay and that the antidote was working, but she was worried and kept thinking she could lose him if this was a weird evolved poison.

I made a passage beasts-free, so we didn't found anything wrong until we saw a group coming on our way G, Rose and Isabella were on the group beside them there was someone that usually work as a scout and a doctor. Rose run towards Spencer crying.

Besides Rose, the others were scared when they saw Cai-Cai. But we explained that she was good, with some reluctance they tried to ignore her, the priority right now was Spencer.

Zak was completely confused with the presence of the new group that arrived, but with G was trying to calm down Rose, the doctor and Isabella were busy checking on Spencer, and the other guy just got asked to guide them by Dr. Harting, so he had no idea what was happening.

Since everyone else was a drama queen, I had to inform Isabella about what happened, describe the snake and told her that he already used an antidote After changing the bandages for clean ones and moving him to a better stretcher we moved back to Green Shelter.
