Exodus: Infinity 》Connected《

Thirty years from now, humans finally turn their attention into space. At the dawn of a new century, 2100 A.D, Earth's atmosphere is near inhabitable. Orbital colonies are created. It is too late now to emphasize natural energy. With the exhaustion of their natural resources, deep space mining companies started to wander off further away from the system. This became a form of example. Even with the speed of light, interstellar travel is too slow. Not until the perfection of Suspended Animation solved the issue. After the war with the Dominion. The first colonists were sent into the system of Sarys. Approximately three hundred years away. After thirty years, it was deemed successful. Powerful syndicates and the world government started their own projects; The Exodus. Not wanting to be left behind. People volunteered to the progress. At year 2228, the last Hive Ship left an Orbital Colony, carrying the last human presence in the Solar System, giving Earth a chance of rejuvenation. The introduction of Blink, a signal that can reach any Vults(Receiver) without any millisecond pass, gave humans the ability to communicate with other fleets no matter the distance. It was a leap in human technology that will deem other alien races inferior. Companies started to advertise a new system of VR to entertain people while in Suspended Animation. *Disclaimer: Cover's not mine!*

Kzel stared coldly at the huge bug infront of him. There was a crystal glowing in its abdomen. These were actually the ones that Aviree called bugs.

>>Glittering Bug(Lvl. 10) 300 HP<<

The bug opened its mandibles and charged at Kzel. The Rzir raised a brow at the head on attack. When the bug was in striking range it thought its victim will be skewered. Contrary to this assumption, Kzel casually stepped aside as the bug continued its momentum and slammed against a wall on the other side. It was too slow for him, considering his reaction time. An experienced combatant like Kzel with an increased reflexes is going to be untouchable in battle if his enemies were as dumb and slow like these bugs.

More bugs came charging. Kzel only evaded, but not too often he'll redirect their mandibles to the other direction in order not to exert himself too much in dodging.

"I can't even call this training," Kzel snorted and provoked the bugs to attack him. There were over a hundred of them now. Some were flying in the open space, others were crawling on the ground.

"Come on," Kzel raised his brows, evenly spreading his attention to all his senses. The sounds and the vibrations in the air helped him detect all kinds of danger.

The Rzir continued for about half an hour dodging and redirecting the bugs' assaults. When an hour passed, he was almost out of breath even though he carefully spent his stamina. He ran to the where he came in and exited.

>>You have failed to clear the Glittering Cave!<<

"Yuh! I know!" Kzel swiped the notification. Aviree and Cleera were still tinkering with the magic circle. His stamina was regenerating fast so he went back in, doing the same process he did earlier--adding Aviree and Cleera to his party.

Another hour passed and he escaped back to the entrance of the dungeon.

"This is wrong!" Cleera groaned in frustration, "I can't even grasp the concept of the magic circle. Without understanding the arcane flow, we can't advance into filling the empty space."

"It's too complicated! Or more like, it's too advance for our knowledge of the Arcane!" Aviree added.

Kzel shrugged and rested. He finally noticed that the bugs were missing without him doing anything. Grasping the scarf around his neck, he recalled its passive effects.

'What if I remove it?' Kzel unequiped the scarf and went back in. After an hour, a panting figure reappeared with a smile on his face.

"Okay." Kzel muttered, back in full strength. "Time to finish these bugs!"

He was about to go in only to see Cleera on the corners of his eyes, warily glancing around.

"Something's wrong!"

The space warped and the environment began to blur. Kzel instinctively drew his sword. The cave was twisted into an incomprehensible chunk of debris. There was no logic on the one he's standing right now because there was no more solid ground. The trio floated down into a chunk of earth hovering in the empty space.

"We're sucked in Limbo!" Cleera shouted, "Defend yourself!"

The huge chunk of earth began to rotate and to Kzel's surprise, they were still standing like there was an artificial gravity pulling them. A feminine figure appeared between the trio. Her skin was red and two horns protruded on each side of her head forming a crown. Glowing red eyes surveyed around until they rested on the trio. Unprecedented power oozed in every angle of her curvaceous body.

"A Charon!" Aviree and Cleera both exclaimed. They each saw one when they were younger. These beings acted mostly as messengers for Calar. The ones they saw brought them the message that they were chosen champions of the Third Chaos.

Kzel tried to identify the being but only question marks appearred.

>>?????????<<

"Mirith and Mirath gained a significant increase in power and gravely injured Master Calar." The Charon said with two voices but paused as if she had trouble with mortal language, "The master is furious!"

A flash of anger appeared on the eyes of Aviree and Cleera. Kzel's nonchalant face turned serious and took a step forward. If Calar is defeated, his avatar will be crippled without the Third god Of Chaos support and protection. He is already an enemy of the Order and they will hunt him down wherever he goes, "What does the lord require from us?"

"A Grand Knight of Mirath took a lesser form and is now residing here in Gaia. Kill him!"

"It will be done!" Kzel instantly answered with a bow.

"We are honored to be in the presence of a Great One, once again!" Aviree and Cleera greeted at the same time.

"Do these, and the master will grant you powers beyond imagination, Chaos Bringer!" The Charon then stared at Aviree and Cleera, "As for myself, I shall take a mortal form and see to it that the deed is done. Vessel and Riser, the two of you will help me create a Chaos Blight. With that, the influence of Calar will scourge this world. Then, we will summon The Greave of Calar!"

"The Greave of Calar!" Aviree repeated, recalling a common phrase of the servants of Calar.

"The Greave of Calar--" Cleera started to sing the phrase, "--will stomp into the world and ten thousand Chorons shall descend into the mortal realm!"
