Thankfully, Jake spoke "So how's V. I haven't heard from her either since the last few days. Both of you have been very busy lately."

Zara laughed thankful for something to talk about. She turned to face Jake and spoke animatedly, "She has taken up a summer job somewhere as well. So we haven't been really able to meet each other for a while now. I am only trying to work hard and earn as much as possible. Mom has been working three jobs, and I want to help her as much as I can."

Jake smiled at her and Zara was proud to tell him all the stuff she had wanted to share with him. Marcy and Jason were her co-workers and didn't know her family situation all that well. She was an introvert and took her time opening up to people slowly and steadily.

She suddenly remembered something and got excited. She put one hand to her mouth and lightly grabbed his hand that was on the steering wheel. Zara spoke in excited whispers. "I totally forgot to tell you. Guess what?"
