34 WE are human

"It's the brightest sky I've ever seen," Aiden mumbled as he looked at the sky. He had never seen such a beautiful scene, and it wasn't just the sky.

The valley below was green, with a giant tree stump in the middle of it. The rivers were like the blue veins of the green earth.

Yet the brightly coloured buildings, which were embedded in the sliced-up mountain, attracted more attention than anything else.

It took quite a while before he came back to his senses. He checked the green valley when he recovered again.

"Are they human? "Aiden couldn't quite see it. They looked nothing but ants from this height. And there were a lot of them. Aiden mumbled, "Should I go down there?"

His hesitation did not last long. He was soon looking for a way to go down the cliff. The cliff he was standing on was a lot steeper than he thought. He found the way as he looked around.

"But it's going to take too long." Aiden was too excited to take a long way and jumped down. He landed on a smoothly curved white stone that was only 10 meters below the edge.

"Wow? This stone is different from the cliff." Aiden felt that the stone was too smooth. It was like someone's been polished for a long time to shape it. Although there were cracks in it, it was still hard.

When Aiden looked around the edge, he almost fell. "I was supposed to bring some rope or something," Aiden mumbled as he looked down the edge.

"But it's too late." Aiden sighed. the cliff was ten meters above him and the next step on the cliff was ten meters below that white stone. He hesitated and jumped down, almost missing a half meter wide stone step in the process.

The step came out of the cliff and was a bit curved. As if the part of the cliff had been corroded differently from the entire cliff. And it wasn't just one of them. There were also several similar-looking steps below this one.

"If someone carved these steps, he needed to learn about the height." Aiden sighed, looking at the difference in height between the two steps. And if that wasn't enough, there were only six steps left. Aiden took his time before he could reach the sixth.

"It's still 30 meters from the ground," Aiden frowned. It took a few moments before Aiden jumped down from the last steps and...

Just as his legs were about to touch the ground, Aiden activated [Blink]. At that speed, he was unable to land softly and rolled across the ground. Only when his back hit the tree did he stop.

It was painful, but on Aiden's face, there was a smile. Touching the green grass beneath him, he was happy. The chirping of birds and the heavy scent of the earth made him exult.

"This is the earth that I have envisioned. Could it be another ..." Aiden could not finish his words as he looked at the cliff from which he had come.

"It's a human ..." Even if he said, he knew he couldn't be right. "No human can grow so big," Aiden mumbled, unable to believe what he saw.

It's a giant skeleton. The round smooth stone was its skull, the thin steps were the ribs, and it was as if it had sat on the side of the cliff as if it had died.

[The structure of the remnant is similar to that of a human being.]

"Even if you say so, no human could be so big." Even if he had seen something called 'Elephant Sloth', the proportion of both things is not at all comparable.

[The living specimen was to be between 150 and 175 meters.]

Hearing that, Aiden couldn't help but frown. 'Can it move, too?' Aiden jumped on his legs, holding his blade.

[The specimen had been dead a long time ago.]

Aiden felt the ESS was making fun of him, but he couldn't care less. He remembered perfectly well that it was a skeleton that had brought them out of the sky.

'No, that was a lot bigger than that.' Aiden shook his head. Even if the one in front of him was dead, the time he had spent on earth had taught him one thing and that is, 'Always expect the unexpected.'

Aiden took the city-light out to check the direction before moving on. Here the trees were very sparse. Although it could still be called a forest, there was no problem with the sunlight reaching the ground.

Compared to the dark and gloomy forest, the place was much brighter and warmer. He could see some un-mutated animals from time to time, but peace did not last long.

The attack was slow, and Aiden had no difficulty getting out of the way. Even if Aiden could not see the attacker, Aiden knew that it had to be a human being.

He was trying to hide behind the tree, but he had to get out of the way. At the next moment, another arrow hit the tree.

'ESS, mark all leaving beings.' In general, ESS does not mark any non-hostile beast, but Aiden could not be careless.

But to his surprise, Aiden couldn't find anything hostile to him. Some people were coming in his direction, but they were still 200 meters away from him.

With the number of trees between them, there was no way they could hit him with an arrow. And on top of that, those arrows came from behind him.

'But there is a deer, a couple of rabbits and two overgrown yellow-tailed woolly monkeys behind…' Even before he could complete his thought, something unexpected happened.

The monkeys were hanging by the tree with their long tail. But even in that position, they swiftly took out their bows and shot another two arrows at him.

'Could the monkeys be evolved enough to use such complex machinery?' Aiden wasn't sure about it, and he didn't have time to think about it.

With the green outline changing red around them, Aiden didn't waste any more time.

The trees were not high enough, and with the support of a few [Wind Bursts], Aiden had no difficulty reaching the top of the tree. But the monkeys were far more agile than he thought.

As soon as they understood that Aiden was about to attack them, they wore a bow over their heads and moved to the other tree.

'They acted just like a human.' Aiden was surprised by their actions, but when he understood that they were moving towards humans, he acted without hesitation.

And one of the monkeys was knocked off the tree with Aide's [Air Punch], while Aiden grabbed the tail of the other.

"I surrender, I surrender." cried the monkey, startling Aiden, "You will tear off my tail."

Aiden never expected the monkeys to talk like a human, and at the moment he let the tail go. And the monkey was attacking again.

With the tail wrapped around the brunch, the monkey kicked Aiden's chest with both his legs, knocking Aiden out of the tree. Without caring for his partner, who had fallen from the tree, it ran away.

'That was careless of me.' Aiden couldn't help but curse himself, and Aiden vanished at the next moment.

Aiden wasn't so forgiving this time. With a single slash, Aiden cut off its tail and knocked it off the tree before deactivating [Zone].

Three people were about fifty meters away from him. Aiden did not dare to stop now, and he pounced at them.

He was startled at the first look. Though they were shaped like humans, they were anything but human.

One of them was covered with black feathers and had beak-like ducks. It was carrying a long sword, while the pig-headed fat man was holding a weapon that ESS identified as a crossbow.

Compared to them, the last one was more like a human being, except for the long antler on his head. He was taller than anyone else, carrying a spear and a wooden shield.

Looking at a perfect human being, holding a bloody blade in his hand, they were shocked for a moment. And that moment of carelessness was enough for Aiden.

At the next moment, Aiden appeared in front of a pig-headed human and punched. His hand was absorbed by the bulk of his fat.

The button-like black eyes turned to Aiden, and the pig-headed man smiled at him with its overgrown yellow canine.

Aiden smiled as he vanished from his perspective. The bolt that left the crossbow missed its target as Aiden moved towards the black duck.

Aiden dodged the sword in its hand and plunged his blade into its stomach at the next moment.

"Ahhhhhhh." Even if it had the body of a duck, its voice was surprisingly human. But Aiden couldn't care less about that.

He didn't even pick up his blade as he struck the antler man. Seeing that Aiden's strike was aimed at his head, he quickly moved his shield. Looking at its response, Aiden smiled.

The [Wind Scythe] formed with a blade that reached the back of the antler-man's neck. As soon as he moved it, a gushing wound appeared on the antler's neck.

Blood dyed the ground as the lifeless body fell to the ground, and Aiden vanished. Once again, the cross-bolt missed its target.

Aiden felt a little light-headed as the [Air Spike] that Aiden had planted on the chest of the pig-headed beast activated. It had fallen on the ground without a single cry.

Aiden moved towards the duck-human, as the only one who was in a situation to talk to. Aiden kicked the sword out of its reach as he recovered his blade.

"What are you?"The duck-eyed human looked at Aiden with fear in its eyes. As if it didn't know the answer to the question. Yet it spoke with a shaky voice, "WE are human."
