126 Ambush...

"So this part in the middle contains the information about the mana source." Aiden stared at the two mana circles on the floor of his mana space.

Even if they weren't active, Aiden was checking every inch of them. Mraz, who was sitting on his obelisk, nodded, "yes, the core circle inside the mana circle is acting as the source of the spell."

"So this part dictates that it will draw mana from me," Then he pointed at the mana circle of the ice golem that he had etched beside the mana circle of the ice wolves, "And this part will draw the mana from the mana crystal on which the mana circle will be on."

Without Mraz's confirmation, Aiden continued to twirl his finger to erase the inner circle of the ice wolf mana circle. And soon, he drew a core circle, similar to the ice golem mana circle in the middle of the first one.

"That should do the trick," Aiden flicked his finger as a bright ball of mana flew from his fingertip to the middle of the new and modified ice wolf mana circle, "And this ball of mana could act as the mana crystal of a beast."

The ball of mana stopped right above the mana circle, and the mana circle glowed. As the shape of the wolf started to form around the mana ball, Aiden changed the inscription of the ice golem mana circle.

"And if I put this here, then it should act as something like ice golem that drew mana from me." He completed the new mana circle without a hitch, and it glowed as Aiden fed his mana.

By the time the shape of Golem began forming, the wolf was fully grown. It looked around to understand what was happening around it before fixing its eyes at Aiden.

"Why does it look so hostile?" Before he could complete his words, the wolf charged at him.

"The mobile mana source you have given to it didn't have any submission spell, so it was natural it would attack you." As Mraz spoke, the obelisk glowed and absorbed the body of the wolf.

"I don't think there was anything like that when it was just a simple ice wolf mana spell."

"Isn't it natural? It was absorbing mana from you, so it wasn't attacking you." Mraz pointed at the overgrown human-sized ice golem and said, "Just like that one."

Aiden glanced at the mana circle beside the ice golem, mumbling, "So I need something to control it. Something to control it…"

Aiden thought for a moment and produced another mana ball on his palm. "Rather than tempering with the mana circle, it would be better to control the mana source."

As he was speaking, an inscription similar to the slave circle formed on the mana ball. Aiden released it on the mana ball on the modified ice wolf mana circle, and it glowed.

The ice golem had already taken form beside it. One look at it and Aiden could understand it was waiting for his command. As Aiden had no intention of doing so, the obelisk glowed and absorbed the ice golem.

And the ice wolf completed. Similar to last time, it checked its surroundings and ended staring at Aiden. However, it didn't attack.

"So I just need to put a slave tattoo on the mana crystal before I inscribe the mana circle on it. And it will do the trick." Aiden was happy with the accomplishment and turned to Mraz.

"See? Now I have three more mana circles." Aiden proclaimed proudly, "Mobile ice golem, Mobile ice wolf and Ice golem that is directly under my control."

"What Mobile ice golem and Mobile ice wolf? It is a golem because it can move on its own. You just have two different forms." Mraz snorted, "it isn't anything to be proud of, you just mixed and matched a couple of mana circles, and you are lucky that it worked."

"Now, all I need is to find a couple of mana crystals to inscribe." Aiden ignored Mraz and escaped from the mana space.

"So it's a primitive technology?" Robin asked from the driver's seat.

"Primitive is not the right term," Charak explained. "If we hadn't discovered the 'TreDecon' and conmetal, the rocket propulsion system still would have been our best bet."

"About 50-60 years ago, during the 2050s, even with the superior electric repulsion system and Orbital fling system, they had to use a fuel rocket propulsion system just to get out of the atmosphere."

"Unlike the Tredecon system, which couldn't navigate through the mana cloud, the rocket propulsion system has no such problem."

"But is it safe? I heard that the chances of…" Robin was the first one to notice Aiden was standing behind them.

"How long?" Aiden asked.

"Not long. About two hours."

Aiden nodded and asked, "You had a couple of mana crystals, didn't you?"

"Oh!" Before Robin could complete his sentence, something crashed into the transporter. It almost toppled the transporter, but Robins somehow was able to stop the transporter.

Before anyone could say anything, Aiden put on his helmet and jumped out of the transporter. The blizzard was still ravaging the weather outside the transporter. It was still hard to see.

Aiden stopped a little distance away from the transporter. He continued to release an enormous amount of mana from his leg as the mana circle continued to spread in all directions.

As the giant mana circle glowed, the wind got fiercer. It continued for a moment before everything fell silent.

In an enormous dome sized area around him, the blizzard vanished, exposing a couple of bear-like creatures staring at him.

"Polar bear?" Charak's confused words sounded in his helmet. But Aiden knew, whatever it was, it wasn't a polar bear.

Standing around three meters tall, both of them had long tusks coming out of their overgrown snout. Dense white fur covered their entire body.

Yet the polar bear-like creature was wearing a lower garment. It was the fur of a species Aiden had never seen. But the most eye-catching thing was the belt it was wearing.

The belt had an enormous face, made of metal, inscribed on it. It reminds Aiden about the full-contact combat tournament rewards belt.

"Nannok," Aiden mumbled the name Mraz mumbled in his head. "The bear king. It's a perfect name."

"Gahhhhhhhh!" Whether it was happy with Aiden's praise, he didn't know, but they charged at him with a wish to crush him.

From the video feed of the helmet, they couldn't see, but as soon as the beast came close, something pounced at them.

They were hiding behind Aiden till now, so Robin couldn't see till now. But as soon as they attacked the Nannoks, Chark exclaimed, "There are those ice humans. They are small, but they are certainly similar."

"Shhhh…" Robin stopped him, "Aiden can hear you. It will distract him." And the other side fell silent.

Aiden's eyes glued to wrestling matches that were unfolding in front of him. The so-called 'Nannoks' was clearly in the advantage.

"It looks like decreasing the size increases the regeneration speed exponentially." Even if nannoks were tearing the limbs of the ice golem with little resistance, they were regrowing it in fearsome speed.

As Aiden got the idea of the capacity of the nannoks, he threw the last two mana golem cores on the floor, and their bodies completed in a blink. Along with them, a couple of ice wolves appeared beside Aiden.

All four newborn ice beasts attacked the nannok without the belt. Rather than fighting barehanded, weapons made of ice formed the hands of the golems.

With continuous attacks from all directions, the white fur of the beast started to stain in blue, yet the ferocity of the beast didn't decrease at all.

It was shattering the ice bodies of the beasts non-stop, and *Boom*

Thick streams of light attacked the place Aiden was standing a moment ago. When the cloud cleared, there was a thick deformed pillar of ice where Aiden was standing.

"What happened?" Charak asked fearfully, not daring to ask loudly, "Aiden? Is he okay?"

Robin pointed at the screen that said, "the feed is still active."

"But he was standing there, and those beams, that thing…" Charak couldn't explain it clearly in the moment of shock.

"Didn't you notice the camera angle change a long time ago? That wasn't Aiden." Robin smirked, "That was Aiden's clone. What those ice beams hit was Aiden's Ice clone. It is one of his skills."

"Ice beams? Ice clone?" Charak was having a hard time understanding the meaning of those words as the transporter shook violently.

Robin put his finger on his lips, "Shhh… Something had landed on the transporter." As looked up, without making any sound, they found a pair of sharp black talons had pierced through the 20 cm thick metal plate, which was protecting the top of the transporter.

"What is this?" Charak asked in a hushed voice, only to find that Robin was shaking his head.

In the meantime, changes started to occur in the scene in front of the camera. The ice weapons had pierced through the thick hide of the Nannok, exposing the guts stained in blue blood.

"Gahhhhh…" Yet it was screaming. Along with the other nannok with the belt. As Aiden called back his six ice beasts, he realized the nannoks weren't screaming at him, rather at something in the sky.

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom*

And they crashed on the ground.

"Creeeeee" The sharp screeches filled the air. Even if Aiden couldn't see what they were, he could still see that they were spreading wings that had a span of 5 meters in length.
