Chapter 97

Landing on the ground, I slither over to the cursed sixth-star Dragon Ball, picking it up, I put it in my storage, and make my way over to Vegeta and everyone else.

Piccolo-"So did you get any information from the sixth-star Dragon?"

Vegeta-"She died with one attack, didn't even manage to say anything."

Kaioshin-"Well, at least we know that the enemy wasn't Vegeta's match, that's some good news right?"

Nala-"Well, going off of how long it took for her to appear we probably have another 24 hours to prepare before the next one appears, the next one will most likely be stronger than the one Vegeta just fought, but how much stronger will they be?"

Goku-"We can worry about that stuff later, I'm more curious why can't Vegeta transform into a Super Saiyan?"

Vegeta-"Yes, I would like to know too OLD MAN!"

While Vegeta was obviously still angry as you could tell by him yelling at Old kai, at least he didn't look like he was about to choke him out again.

Old Kai-"For the last time, I don't know why that has happened to you! And how do you even know it was the technique's fault, maybe it was when you achieved that full body hair transformation!"

With those two going at each other's throat, I started thinking about what Old Kai said, when Vegeta achieved that ancient Saiyan transformation he didn't revert to his normal appearance until after he has already completed the technique, so he just assumed that was the reason why he could no longer transform. But now that I really think about it, it makes much more sense that the reason he can't transform is related to the change his body went through when he achieved the transformation rather than something having to do with Ki.

Slithering forward in between Vegeta and Old Kai, I stop their argument before I present my theory.

Nala-"You are tens of millions of years old, how are you acting like a child? Anyways, I think the reason why you can't transform is related to the transformation you achieved by compressing your Ozaroo into a human-sized body, if you think about it, it's much more logical."

Vegeta went quiet for a while, before retorting back.

Vegeta-"Tsk, even if that's true, it still won't solve the problem of why I can't transform into a Super Saiyan."

Old Kai-"See, I told you it wasn't my fault!"

Nala-"Well the first step would be to figure out why you can't achieve Super Saiyan, and since the reason is most likely related to your body, aren't you married to a super genius who can build anything once she puts her mind to it?"

Goku-"If anyone can figure out the reason then it's Bulma!"

Nala-"I'm taking your silence as a yes, so next stop Bulma's lab."

Turning around, I fly in the direction of Capsule Corp along with everyone else following behind. Arriving at the C.C. in a few minutes, we land in the backyard where Goten and Trunks are currently training intensely but they stopped and greeted us when we landed. Ever since that fateful day several months ago, these two have been constantly training intensely in hopes of avenging Mia as apparently to them without Mia it's not the same when they hang out.

Goten-"Hey everyone, hey dad!"

Trunks-"What's up, and what happened to you father, you've gotten a lot stronger?"

Goku greets his son and ruffles his hair while giving advice about training, and Vegeta is, well Vegeta."

Goku-"Hey son, you've seemed to have made great progress while I was out gathering the Cursed Dragon balls, but make sure to not over-exert yourself your still a child."

Vegeta-"Good job, make sure not to slack off when training."

Saying goodbye to Goten and trunks, we go inside the building and make our way to Bulma's lab, which only I know the way considering no one else among the group has actually been there, except maybe Vegeta but knowing him he probably has been there once or twice.

When we arrived just outside Bulma's Lab, I knocked on the door, after not hearing anything I was going to knock again, but Vegeta's busted the door down while shouting.

Vegeta-"Where are you Bulma!?"

Sighing, I slither inside behind Vegeta along with everyone else who's already gone inside, we all stop and look to the left when we suddenly hear the sound of something dropping, and what we see is Bulma wearing overalls but she's covered all in paint while laying on the ground. Suppressing my desire to laugh at her misfortune, I slither over to her and help her stand up as well as cleaning her up using some runes.

Bulma-"Thanks Nala."

Nala-"No problem, so what were you doing?"

Bulma-"I was painting one of my new inventions, but SOMEBODY interrupted me with their yelling, causing me to spill the paint everywhere. But anyway, for you guys to arrive in a group, I'm going to assume you need my help, so what's the problem now?"

After 30 minutes of bringing Bulma up to speed about everything that has happened, she spins in her chair for a little bit before getting up and walking away, which prompts all of us to follow after her, when we all stopped, we were standing in front of a full body scanner.

Bulma-"Alright, since we need to figure out why Vegeta can't transform, we should scan his body to see if anything has changed on a cellular level, so strip into your underwear and lay on the scanner Vegeta."

Vegeta-"Tch."

With Vegeta complying with Bulma's demand, he's now laying on the full body scanner while wearing only some C.C boxers, Bulma seeing he's ready, starts up the scanner, and once started the table on which Vegeta was laying on gets pulled inside the big sphere where the scanning of the body actually happens. A few minutes later the scan on Vegeta's body is complete, and the table on which he's laying gets pulled back out, once he was out, Vegeta quickly put on his clothes before questioning Bulma.

Vegeta-"Did you find anything dammit!"

Bulma-"Yeah I did, and something quite surprising as well."

Goku-"What is it?"

Bulma-"Here it's easier if I show you."

Saying that she walks over to the left and turns on the giant screen attached to the wall and uploads a picture of Vegeta's body at the cellular level, but there're two pictures. One is a picture of before the transformation happened and the second is from the scan that just happened.

Vegeta-"Just tell me the reason, women!"

Bulma-"Haa, the one on the right is from several months ago, and the one on the left is from today, but the difference between the two pictures is how densely packed your cells currently are. Your cells are tens of times as dense as before, and your body is tougher than steel and by a long shot as well, but that's only when you're transformed into that furry form. When you are in your normal form, you still have the same amount of cells as when transformed but almost all of the cells are in some sort of hibernation state, they do nothing other than exist inside your body, and what's crazy is that you should currently be far heavier than normal but yet you still weigh the same amount as usual."
