Chapter 96

Nala POV.

It's been several hours since Vegeta started meditating, and so far nothing out of the ordinary has happened yet, Old Kai is now inside the dome I created and is talking about Kai stuff with Kaioshin, Goku and Piccolo are currently training together, and I'm coiled-up just watching Vegeta while also wondering if Sage has managed to save our daughter yet.

Nala-'It's been about 12 hours since Vegeta defeated Naturon, we've only got another 12 hours left before the sixth-star Dragon appears. I hope the technique actually works and Vegeta finishes it soon.'

Another 10 hours pass with nothing happening with Vegeta when all of a sudden we suddenly sense a disturbance coming from Vegeta which causes everyone to pause what they're doing and look in Vegeta's direction. We sensed his ki change, it's hard to describe but the ki that we sense from Vegeta feels like his Ki has evolved into something higher.

Piccolo-"Has he succeeded?"

Old Kai-"Don't get your hopes up yet, the next part is the actual difficult part of the technique."

With Old Kai's warning, we all quietly watch Vegeta from afar for a couple of minutes before we sense his new ki explode outward with such force that when it collided with my barrier it almost immediately broke. Seeing the damage it caused to my barrier on first contact, I quickly sprang forward and hurriedly started engraving runes on the barrier to increase its strength, and I only stopped once it was strong enough to endure a supernova.

Nala-"W-What's happening to him!?"

Old Kai-"This is the second part, if his body can't endure the transformation of his ki, it'll get destroyed!"

Goku-"But with the amount of power he's giving off, can he do it?"

Piccolo-"He doesn't have a choice, if he doesn't succeed we won't defeat the cursed Dragon Balls."

Kaioshin-"I hope this doesn't destroy the planet."

We all once again went quiet as we watched the scene unfold of Vegeta struggling to stay alive while he fights against his new ki, this continued for another hour before the destruction started calming down till it completely stopped. Once everything had stopped we could finally see Vegeta who was kneeling on the ground with ragged breaths and injuries all over his body, but what made us happy was that he was still alive.

We quickly made out way over to him and once we arrived, I handed him a Senzu bean but when he swallowed it, it didn't do much other than close a few small wounds, shocked, I handed him another and while this time it seemed to heal more he still wasn't in good shape, this time I handed him 3 Senzu beans and only then did he finally fully heal again.

Nala-"So, how are you feeling Vegeta?"

When I asked him, he replied with a smirk as he flexed his power which caused everyone to almost get sent flying away by his ki, although when he stopped when he saw us barely able to stand and answered me.

Vegeta-"I feel great, my ki feels far more powerful than before as well as more refined. But it seems like the sudden increase in power has plummeted my ability to control Ki."

Kaioshin-"So now that you've succeeded the enemies shouldn't be a problem anymore."

We didn't say anything in disagreement as none of us thought that the enemies could possibly have power close to Vegeta's.

Piccolo-"Well it's good that you've finally finished because we only have 30 minutes left until the sixth-star dragon appears."

With Piccolo reminding us about the time remaining, we all grab onto Kaioshin except for Old Kai, when Vegeta was about to grab onto Kaioshins shoulder he stopped before reverting back into his normal appearance but right when he did, his face morphed into shock before quickly changing into anger right as we teleported.

When we arrived on Earth, we were on the lookout and before I could question Vegeta about what happened, we saw him quickly walk toward Old Kai before lifting him up in the air and started yelling at him in anger.

Vegeta-"THE HELL DID THAT TECHNIQUE DO TO ME!?"

We're all surprised by his sudden act of grabbing Old Kai and almost choking him, we quickly reacted by trying to calm Vegeta down before he killed Old Kai. Once we calmed him down a little, he dropped Old Kai whose face was all red, but Vegeta still looked angry.

Goku-"What was that all about Vegeta!?"

Nala-"Yeah, why did you almost kill him?"

Vegeta-"Because, I've lost my ability to TRANSFORM INTO A SUPER SAIYAN!"

After he yelled out his frustrations, it seemed to calm him down slightly, but we were too shocked by his sudden revelations to even notice.

Goku-"WHAT!? You must be joking right?"

Piccolo-"Has Vegeta ever said a joke."

Nala-"None that are even remotely funny. But Vegeta what do you mean when you say you can't transform anymore?"

Vegeta-"Once you achieve the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan, you'll always have this feeling of strength that's hidden away and it can only be accessed by transforming. But now, I don't feel that hidden power inside me, and it could only be that technique's fault!"

Old Kai-"H-How was I supposed to know that would happen, I've only seen one other person use that technique and even they only completed half of it!"

Hearing Old Kai's voice as he makes his way over here while he's rubbing his neck, Vegeta almost attacked him again when he heard his voice. But before Vegeta could try killing him again, I intervened and made them hold this problem off for later.

Nala-"Vegeta, stop! There's only a little bit of time before the sixth-star dragon appears, we can worry about your transformation problem after we've dealt with them ok!"

Vegeta-"Tch, fine. But after I've killed that stupid enemy I'll kill you next Old man!"

After glaring at Old Kai which frightened him enough to hide behind Piccolo, Vegeta Ignored everyone else and started meditating, now with everything somewhat calm, we start preparing for where the next enemy will appear. Yet not even 10 minutes later, we sensed an abundance of Negative Ki coming from the south, as well as Vegeta quickly heading in that direction alone.

Sighing, we quickly follow after him, halfway through the flight we sense an even bigger amount of Negative Ki coming from Vegeta's direction. Once we finally arrived all we saw was a sinking island and a currently satisfied Vegeta, we didn't sense any Negative Ki.

Nala-"I thought he did, but he actually defeated them that quickly."

Piccolo-"We could've gotten information about the other 5 dragons from it if he left it alive, but it seems we were too late."
