Chapter 165

Currently, up in the sky above TokiToki the floating city, you could see cracks forming the sky along with powerful shockwaves that caused the entire city below to shake violently, and if you were powerful enough, it would even be possible to see trails of pink, green and red aura's, though the red aura was several times larger than the other two. Now if you still haven't guessed it, the ones fighting in the sky are Sage, 21, and Demigra, though calling it a fight is a stretch, as Sage and 21 are doing their very best to not be killed while Demigra toys with them.

Sage POV

I and 21 are currently getting our asses handed to us by Demigra, and while we expected that to happen, our situation is quickly becoming worse by the second, and it hasn't even been a full minute since the 'battle' started. We haven't been capable of hitting Demigra once since we started fighting, and even though we are supposed to be stalling him, it is more like himself purposely waiting since if Demigra wished to remove us it would be easy for him to do so.

However, even though both 21 and I are quite injured, we have successfully stalled Demigra long enough for a fused Kakaort and fused Vegeta, to finally fuse into Vegito as they had just equipped Chronoa's earrings.

Sage-'Just a fused Kakarot or Vegeta had enough power in their base to force me to transform into an Lssj, I honestly can't fathom the kind of power this Vegito will have if the fusion succeeds.'

Though my thoughts got interrupted when I didn't manage to block Demigra's punch in time, allowing his fist to embed itself in my stomach with enough force that I thought it would split me in half. Coughing out blood, I instantly backed away while barely dodging a swing of his staff, and as much as I wished to fight back, doing so would be the same as suicide for me.

While backing away, I suddenly sensed the disappearance of the fused Kakarot and Vegeta, but with their disappearance came along a new presence, and the moment he appeared, my instincts started blaring at insane levels, almost at similar levels to when I'm interacting with Whis.

Sage-"So, a double fusion was actually possible, I just hope the time limit is long enough for him to fight with Demigra."

21-"Ohh my, the sheer power radiating off him is causing even timelines to start distorting. Just imagine if I could turn him into a cupcake, I'm going into heat just thinking about it."

Before I could refute 21's stupid comment, we saw how Vegito suddenly appeared in front of us and easily blocked Demigra's punch, before sending out a punch of his own that forced Demigra to back away. Yet, while I was shocked by the display of power he so easily exhibited, I was more focused on the earrings that were already cracking, signifying that his time limit is already about to be up.

Vegito seemed to realize this since he quickly charged at Demigra and started fighting, causing a battle of even more intensity to occur than the previous 11 destroyers.

21 and I also quickly flew away, trying to get as far away from the battle as soon as possible, since the shockwaves alone had the power to explode our bodies upon contact. In fact, the battle was so intense, that myself, 21, Trunks, Chronoa, and the 11 destroyers along with Champa carrying Beerus were forced to leave the crumbling City, and venture out far into the dimension just to get away from the after-effects.

Sage-"Seeing how dangerous the battle is, I'm assuming Vegito is capable of rivaling Demigra?"

Chronoa-"I don't know, they are moving far too fast for me to be able to see anything."

Beerus-"Vegito, is winning currently."

Surprised to hear Beerus talking, I look over only to see Beerus leaning his injured body on Champa while breathing heavily.

Trunks-"That's good, but what about the time limit, with how powerful he is, I'm sure he only has a few seconds at most to stay fused."

Beerus-"His entire earrings are almost destroyed, he has 3 seconds left at best, so if Vegito can't finish the battle in time."

Beerus didn't need to finish his sentence for us to understand what he meant, so for the next couple of seconds we waited for the conclusion of the battle, hoping that Vegito would win, but I was also mentally prepared for Vegito losing as I knew his personality.

Shortly later, the intense battle suddenly comes to a halt as well Vegito's presence suddenly disappearing, replacing it with Kakarot and Vegeta's ki's, and those two Ki's instantly disappear while two Kakarot and two Vegeta ki's appear instead. Everyone instantly flew towards the area where the city used to be only to see a large dust cloud with both Kakarot and Vegeta heavily injured but standing in a fighting position facing the large dust cloud.

I don't know about everyone else, but when I saw what they were doing, I instantly knew Demigra was still alive, so I quickly got into a fighting position as well, however, when I did so my instincts warned me of danger.

Sage-"KAKAROT DODGE!!"

Sadly I was too late in warning him, as in the middle of my warning a red laser beam flew out of the dust cloud and headed toward Kakarot, and the outcome was quite despairing as the red beam pierced right through Kakarot's head, instantly killing him.

Sage-"DAMMIT!"

I was truly angry seeing one of my closest friends die right before my eyes but I knew now wasn't the time to let my anger take control of me, and it is still possible in reviving him with the Dragon Balls if we manage to win this battle.

Coldly focusing on the dust cloud, we all keep our distance as we watch Demigra emerge from the smoke with even more injuries than before, yet somehow still able to fight.

Demigra-"I must say, you guys had put up a difficult resistance, but in the end, I emerge victorious."

When he finished speaking a smirk formed on his face, and I was just about to charge at him, however, the destroyers beat me to him first, yet they weren't able to even put up a fight before getting put into a comatose.

Trunks-"Well, it looks like this is the end, but I refuse to go down without a fight!"

Seeing Trunks charge, I smirked and followed right behind him with 21 and Chronoa following his lead as well, once we got close we teamed up with XKakarot and both Vegeta's, as we all gave our last stand against Demigra.
