Super Lightning Crystal! (87)

"This is the place," Queen Drizzle said tiredly.

She wanted to go to sleep badly but she didn't trust Broly and she had a plan that could help put him away for good.

Lightning crystals jutted out from the edges of the walls, almost appearing like spike traps meant to impale people.

"The lightning tribe in their last days got desperate, quickly mining all the crystals they could gather as they fought against us," Queen Drizzle said stoically, completely unsympathetic towards the Lightning Tribe.

While they never openly announced it she could always tell that they thought they were better than the other tribes, carrying themselves with subtle arrogance that would irritate people after a while.

'And they nearly won,' Broly said, intrigued to see how the Lightning Crystals worked.

The small pocket-sized crystal Sizzle had given him packed as much energy as the poor soldier's armour that was blown up by Broly.

He was interested to see how much energy the bigger crystals had.

Broly swung his ki pickaxe, cutting away at the sides of rock that trapped the crystal in place.

His pickaxe quickly scraped the surface of the crystal.

BZZZZZT!

A line of electricity discharged from the crystal, travelling through Broly's ki, using it as a medium and shocking his body.

PSH!

The ki pickaxe that he had formed exploded.

Broly stepped back, alarmed by the wave of energy that struck him, it didn't hurt that much but it was still unpleasant to experience.

His face contorted as he realised how the crystals operated.

Queen Drizzle smiled as she watched Broly electricity zap Broly's body, a warm feeling she couldn't describe rising from her chest.

This was another reason why the Lightning Tribe was unable to win the conflict, although their crystals were much more powerful, they had considerably less in number compared to the other tribes.

This just meant there was more for Broly to take.

"You need to be very slow and careful around the Lightning Crystals but if you want we can go to the Super-"

DOOSH!

Broly's fist collided with the hard rocky surface of the mine wall.

'It's solid but it's nothing compared to the ki crystals themselves,' Broly thought, completely ignoring Queen Drizzle.

'No way! There's no way he would-'

DOOSH!

Queen Drizzle's thoughts were interrupted as Broly's other fist smashed into the walls, sending another sudden impact throughout the entire underground mine, cracks lining the walls on all sides as force shuddered through the whole landscape.

DOOSH!

DOOSH!

DOOSH!

Broly slammed his fists repetitively, sending strong ripples throughout the ground, making it seems as if there was an earthquake on the top. It got so bad that Queen Drizzle started to levitate to reduce the waves of motion that disoriented her body.

She couldn't get rid of the horrible pressure completely but it was significantly reduced now that she was floating. Broly had a similar idea, now hanging mid-air as he rained down punches that caused chunks of earth to fly out, crystals and rock both indiscriminately falling towards the floor.

'What if I...'

Broly sensed a long connected chain of lightning crystals in front of her, this happened frequently and was a pain to deal with when mining as he would have to go around the room and carve out the separate chunks, then break them without using ki however since this was lightning...

Broly reeled back, charging his fist with ki and swung powerfully towards the wall, space seeming to distort as he struck.

Queen Drizzle quickly realised what he was doing and fled the mine, flying away quickly as Broly attacked.

Broly's ki quickly travelled through the earth breaking apart any stone or rock it came across and met the Lightning Crystals.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!

A huge voltage arose out of the hole, striking Broly as arcs of lighting energetically exploded from the ki crystals, the sheer temperature melting down the rock around it and causing a mudslide.

'Flying sure is useful' Broly said to himself, using telekinesis to drag out the crystals from the stone slush. Broly stretched out his hand, concentrating and causing an unstable and energetic ki beam to roar out of his hand and smash into the wall.

Another strong buzzing sound ran out as the lightning crystals channelled Broly's ki, causing multiple chain reactions as the stone was simply unable to handle the high temperatures of the electricity.

By the time Queen Drizzle heard the third explosion, she flew up and went home, quickly realising that Broly wasn't going anywhere.

Unbeknownst to both of them, a small bird-like creature circled the area of above the Lightning Mine, collection data and recording audio and video of the area. The bird-like creature was completely mechanical in structure, no traces of ki present in its small body and was near silent as it slowly circled in the air, it's skin matching the night sky colour.

The only area where this was different was above the bird's left eye where a strange red-yellow pattern could be seen.

(Twelve hours later)

'Are you good?'

Yami had never been worried about another person is his life but Broly's appearance was seriously concerning. He was struck by intense waves of lightning non-stop for more than half a day, his clothes were tattered and in pieces, while his skin slightly burnt from the consistently high temperatures.

'I'm nearly done, I can already tell that my zenkai will be huge,' he thought, transporting the last batch of crystals.

'Yeah, you just have to grab that Super Crystal and we're off,' Yami said softly.

'Yep,' Broly said, flying up and out of the mine, landing on the ground and seeing a tired Queen Drizzle.

Her eyes widened upon seeing Broly.

"I'm sorry, I made you wait for a long time," he said apologetically, he only thought he would last a few more minutes, he didn't know that his body was capable for going on for so much more time.

His stamina was truly a thing of marvel.

Queen Drizzle's mouth opened temporarily before closing.

She realised what Broly was.

"Don't worry about it, let's get you to Lighting King Palace," she said softly, turning around and leading the way.

Lightning King Palace was a huge structure, even though by now half of it was mined away it still stood greatly, hinting at its former wide and huge state. Queen Drizzle led Broly through the large, broken doors and approached the throne.

Queen Drizzle approached the steps and condensed a big war hammer made of ice and smashed the throne, causing the stone to shatter and crumble.

A large pillar with a small gem rose into view on a pedestal, resting softly on a yellow cushion.
