Queen Drizzle didn't trust Broly.
For all she knew, Broly could just kill her assistant, ransack her mines and leave the planet.
She didn't doubt that Broly was able to mine much more than her own men and so she came personally to ensure that Broly wouldn't plunge her economy into deep waters.
'I'm sure King Skewer did a similar thing,' she thought to herself as they entered the mine.
The mine was again simple in structure however this time, frost covered the surface of the rock, thin layers of ice giving the room a chilly vibe.
Queen Drizzle watched Broly approach the wall only to belatedly realise she hadn't given Broly a mining tool or pickaxe. Although he hadn't asked for one Queen Drizzle felt as if she was being disrespectful.
"I apologise! I should have-"
She stopped speaking when a long thin beam of ki stretched out between Broly's fingers.
Her heart double paced as she was put in fight or flight response. Her muscles tensed and she leaned forward, looking at Broly's wide back concentrated.
"Hmm?"
Broly turned around confused, unsure as to why the Queen was staring at him so viciously.
"Did I do something?" he asked gently, worrying because of Queen Drizzle's piercing stare.
Broly's ki finished forming and the pickaxe to shape, the long green tool shining brightly.
"Uh! No! No! My mistake!" Queen Drizzle said quickly, realising she had jumped the gun.
"Okay then," Broly said turning around, taking the first swing.
CHINK!
CHINK!
CHINK!
A fast-paced repetitive clanging sound as rock and ice were broken apart, revealing bright blue crystals, that shimmered in place. Broly systematically liberated them, destroying all the dirt around it with his ki and when the crystals fell they hovered and made a short journey to the centre of the floor.
Once in a while, there would be a long chain of inter-connected crystals, almost like a huge bracelet that ran around the room which Broly carefully broke apart with his bare hands, cracking them like biscuits.
Queen Drizzle watched carefully as the pool of crystals in the centre gradually grew, quickly becoming the weekly then monthly then the annual output of the miners that worked for her.
'You've got to be kidding me'
It was scary to watch.
Her precious natural resources were being taken right in front of her. Even in her own personal stash of crystals were not as large as the pool Broly was working on.
Eventually, after five or so minutes, the pool of crystals started to get too big, filling up the floor in the mines.
Queen Drizzle opened her mouth, ready to politely ask Broly whether he had collected enough when the crystals suddenly floated up, flying out of the cave and vanishing out of sight.
'This is a bit ridicoulous'
Queen Drizzle could only scratch her head as she saw the insanity in front of her.
'He's polite enough to know when to stop right? And he'll have to get tired eventually...'
Queen Drizzle was extremely hesitant to tell Broly to stop, they were in an enclosed space and while she was more confident that she would stand a better chance than her soldiers, she didn't know whether she was able to escape in time, much less resist Broly.
She waved her fingers, silently making a throne of ice and sat down crossed legged.
'Only a few more minutes' she assured herself.
(Five hours later)
Queen Drizzle gritted her teeth as she watched Broly shamelessly plough through the mine, carving a deep track that travelled further than the combined space of the whole Ice Tribe's efforts.
She had considered a multitude of ways to attack Broly but all of them came inconclusive, she wasn't wearing her ice armour so while he was unable to use his strange explosion magic she wouldn't have the protection she would have liked.
There was no way out.
She could only patiently wait for Broly to finish but that didn't make her any less angry.
'Oh!' Broly said aloud, after depositing his fifth batch of crystals to his ship by telekinesis.
"Would you by any chance happen to know the location of the Lightning Tribe Mines?" Broly asked sincerely, oblivious to the irate woman behind him.
'An opportunity!'
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Let me show you!" she said, practically jumping out of the mine.
Broly smiled as he wiped the sweat off of his brow.
'These leaders really are considerate,' he thought happily as his muscles ached.
Yami watched silently, he had seen Saiyans who loved a good workout but the strain that Broly put on his body bordered masochism, he should have already reached his limit long ago.
'This isn't my fault is it?' Yami thought, contemplative, wondering whether he went too far in pushing Broly.
'Nah,' he concluded.
"Oh and also," Broly added.
Queen Drizzle furrowed her brows, while she tried not to show out, she didn't want to fulfil any more of Broly's requests.
"Would you happen to know the location of the Super Lightning Crystal?" Broly said, testing his luck.
Yami seemed to be infatuated with it and so Broly couldn't help but give in to the hype surrounding it.
Queen Drizzle's heart stopped.
"How do you know about that?!" she said seriously and loudly, thinking about the worst-case scenario.
"Uh? I heard a rumour about it so I just thought I'd ask," Broly said defensively, caught off guard by Queen Drizzle's hostile tone.
"From who?" she said, not lightening up.
"An old friend," Broly said evasively, unwilling to spread information about Yami.
Queen Drizzle panicked, her brows screwing up before an idea popped up in her head.
"Sure! I'll take you to like Lightning King Palace after we visit the mines," Queen Drizzle said maybe a little bit too happily.
'I like this woman a lot! I definitely pay her a special visit later!' Yami said sinisterly, plotting as well.
Broly smiled warmly.
Everything just seemed to go his way.
He could imagine the faces of h Dr Limiter and the rest of his friends when he came back with a new compound for them to study, as well as his happy family when he came back with a new Saiyan and on top of that, Queen Vegeta was starting to warm up to him and they were getting closer and closer at mealtimes every day.
Broly flew towards the mines satisfied.
It seemed that nothing could go wrong.
