Chapter 12, Party pooper
"What are you guys up to?" The black wolf who was lazing around suddenly heard someone's probing voice.
"....Oh it's just you" Ebube raised his head lightly, turning to see who was behind him, When he saw it was just a huge black scorpion he didn't seem care much, returning to his quite lounging.
'...is this boy for real right now?' Chinonso's eye's twitched with irritation because of his reaction.
" Chinonso don't mind him, his been acting lazier ever since we came back" Said Zara who was watching the duo, Even she felt annoyed by his newfound unruly attitude.
"Get your Ass up already you idiot!" A swift pincer smacked against the wolfs rear.
" The heck was that for!" The Wolf snarled glaring coldly at Chinonso who looked didn't even look bothered by his irritated look.
" .....No lazy mutts allowed" Chinonso replied in a calm manner, his eye's looked uncaring even though the ferocious wolf was currently glaring daggers at him.
" Could you please stop glaring at me, your gonna pop your eyes out like that one day" Chinonso waved his right pincer signaling for him to calm down.
" Now get up already, we're going out" He added, The black scorpion started stretching it's limbs in front of the duo, his movements similar to a warm up.
" Huh?, Going out to where?"
**Snap!**
" Well we're else?, to hunt obviously" Chinonso swung his tail menacingly like a wip, his eyes emitting a brighter glow.
" Wait you mean it!" Ebube sprung up excitedly, his eyes beaming like shinning stars at the thought of finally being able to test out his new bodies capabilities.
" Yayy more food!" Zara snapped her jaws successively with joy, her crocodilian tail swinging left and right rapidly.
" Wait what about Kosi?" Zara suddenly said, her gaze turning towards the lake behind them.
" We'll just bring him his share when we come back..." Ebube said lightly with not much change to his expression, For an older he sure was a jerk at times.
Zara felt conflicted a bit but on remembering the lots of yummy morsels and snacks she was about to eat, she instead started wagging her tail happily again.

' Uhh maybe hunting isn't such a good idea...., They maybe beasts now but I don't think these two inexperienced goof balls would be cautious enough to return unscathed'
' Moreover even if Zara has those protective scales of her's, there's still a possibility that we might encounter something far more dangerous out their....'
"Hmm...on second thought maybe we should post pone this" Chinonso suddenly said to the duo.
" What do you mean post pone it?!" The black wolf turned towards him with an incredulous look on its face.
" Umm....what's post pone?" Zara asked, since she was technically still a kid even after those ten years it made sense that she wouldn't know such big words.
"It means Chinonso just said that we aren't going out anymore!" Ebube creased his brows together, anyone could clearly see the dissatisfaction on his face.
" Huh?!, Why not?!" Zara asked with widened eye's.
" Shsssh...., can you guys be a bit more quite, at this rate your loud mouths are gonna attract every creature in these woods over here" Chinonso cautioned for them to lower their voice's down.
" Who cares!, we'll just eat them up anyways!, now why aren't we going out!"
" Yeah eat them up!" Zara followed on, from the looks of it this little girl really had nothing else in her mind besides food.
" Fine fine, if it makes you guys feel any better, I just wanted to check out the surroundings for crying out loud!, in case you forgot this isn't the magnificent streets of Beijing city but the actual woods!, instead of cars and people you got wild animals and dangerous monster's walking about!"
" I promise we'll go hunting when I get back ok, so just stay put untill I scour the area"
" If it's safe then you'll be able to eat till your hearts content, if it's crawling with monsters then I'll just wipe them out before hand " Chinonso reassured them before turning around to head out.
" Stop talking all tough, You wipe them out?" Ebube's harsh words caused the black scorpion to come to a halt.
" Yeah any problems?" He asked with an impatient voice, a trace of annoyance in his eye's.
"First off before you go spouting shit let me remind you that you were the one who was worried about a pack of useless dogs yet your saying you can wipe them all out hahahaha don't be delusional " The wolf pointed at him with it's paw while cackling, it's eye's squinted into crescents.
" If it wasn't for Zara you'd probably still be helpless till now....." Ebube said smugly.
He was expecting Chinonso to get angry but instead his older brother let out a sigh to quell his hidden rage before replying in a calm manner.
" Yes yes whatever you say, just remember your still not leaving here..."
Hearing what he just said, Ebube's eyes constricted, he gnashed his fangs in anger, his claws digging deep into the group.
'Damned Jerk!, You still think your in charge?, With my system there's no way I'd ever lose to you again!'
"Tch~!, And what makes you think you can stop me!–" The black wolf snarled coldly only to regret it the next moment.
Like a swift wip, he saw a blur enlarging before his eyes instantaneously.
Fortunately his new beastial body was able to react in time, with swift reflexes he leaped backwards on instinct.
'i told you, you aren't going to beat me again!' Ebube said with joy.
«[Blood Manipulation]»
' What on Earth!'
Sadly his joy was short lived, Mid air he suddenly felt his whole body stiffen for a moment, that short moment of immobility was all Chinonso's tail needed to make contact.
Like a cane used to punish unruly kid's, his scorpion tail smacked hard against his cheek, Moreover with his skillfulness he made sure to use the other side of his tail so as not to sting his dear brother.
**Gwuah!**
Ebube spat out some saliva the instant he got hit, Though he made sure not to use his stinger to prick him, The meer force behind that tail wip was far more than Ebube expected.
His Wolf self was actually sent tumbling on the floor before gradually coming to a stop.
Now his once majestic black fur coat was soiled with dirt, his face scrapped a bit and his cheek swollen up, anyone who saw his earlier self and his current visage would be left stunned by the newfound change's.
"Are you going to leave to?" The scorpion's cold eye's landed on the stunned crocodile who was watching the brief clash.
Like a tambourine Zara shook her head in denial, she was smart enough not to try anything stupid Infront of her ruthless elder brother, not to mention those warding crimson eye's were a complete turn off to any stupid ideas she could think of.
" Good..., now be a good girl and look after the two of them ok, I'll be back soon" Chinonso said with a warm smile and gaze, a clear contrast to his earlier look.
With no more objections, he quickly headed out, for a scorpion his 6 feet were quick as a whistle, carrying him off as he speed away.
