Chapter 17: To Kill Arlong Pt.1

~Tatsumi POV~

*Clang*

Today has been five days in this world with Ruby and Hinata finally finishing creating the bombs attached to the Fire and Lighting Dust crystals with Hinata Explosive Tags. We tested out the explosions to be more than to our liking to get the job done.

But first, we have to place the damn things inside the Arlong Park good thing we Hinata to do a job for that one with her Ninja technique. Her [Transformation Jutsu] took her 3 days to get used to the appearance of being a Fishman.

Although I say it was worth the wait considering where she's going is heavily guarded to place the bombs. Plus fooling the Arlong Pirates would take some good acting for her part but good thing that these Fishman are really good guys if you're the same race as them.

There were plenty of examples of it in the show as well that's if you understand his personality well enough that is.

He has been ill-tempered since his younger years. However, he was not always entirely brutal. During a battle with the Marines, Arlong told Jinbe to leave the unconscious Marines alone.

However, it was later shown that he had grown more arrogant over time to the point that he completely had no sympathy for humans. Tiger's death led to his hatred hitting rock bottom.

He also failed to understand Fisher Tiger's reason for letting humans that they attacked live. As a result, when Arlong led his crew and had committed murder, humans came to view him as a "monster".

He was loathed for the actions of him and his crew. In the end, he enslaved humans just as the humans once enslaved many fish-men.

Though his opinions and his ideas were extreme, he displayed a high level of brotherhood with his crew and even towards Nami despite her species divide. Arlong looked after his subordinates, and even though he betrayed Nami, he did so because he did not want to lose her talent.

On top of this, in the final moments of the battle with Luffy, he stated that Nami was his crewmate and would be forever, and while he never displayed any regard for her as a friend, he was prepared to fight to keep her in the crew. If humans insulted their group, Arlong would react to the insult, and due to the high level of concern amongst his officers, they would attempt to keep his temper under control.

When weaker members of his crew were hurt, Arlong would seek out revenge on those who had committed the act against those crew members. He cared for his crew to a level that when Luffy used one of them as a shield, Arlong became extremely angry.

Ironically, Arlong is a hypocrite, having accused Koala of being raised to look down on fish-men and think of humans as better than everyone else, when Arlong looked down on humans and preached fish-men superiority himself, making him no better than the humans.

Surprisingly despite his hatred of humanity according to Hatchan, Arlong would never harm his fellow fish-men no matter the circumstance.

Even so, I haven't met the guy yet since it has been 5 days that some of his members are missing his bound to go on a hunt soon or he already has considering how much he cares for his crewmates.

That makes the members prime targets for his rage as he will no doubt go after us together or worse one on one…

*Clang*

While blocking another slash attempt from Saeko I held my hand up to signal her to end the sparring match as I told her with a smile on my face, "Sorry Saeko how about we call it quits for today. We need to save some of our energy for making the decision today or tomorrow to bomb Arlong Park."

Saeko looked confused before me but nodded in agreement as she began to go her way but was confused as to why I haven't gone with her as she spoke, "Hey aren't you supposed to come with us back to the group?"

Shaking my head I hid my intention to her as I spoke with a regular tone to her, "Nah. I'll go out to see if any new info is about this place. Never know when one small detail is more than enough for the job."

Saeko could only nod in agreement as she carefully went back as I began to make my move…

*Swoosh*

To kill Arlong.

Before I made my move, I made sure to keep myself to have the advantage of all times. Good thing the dead bodies will have a purpose after all.

The dead bodies of Fishman are scattered around this place secluded from the members and away from the other human villages in these Conomi Islands.

This will be the perfect place to mess with Arlong giving him phycological warfare as he will be blinded in rage seeing his brother's dead like animals like this.

Sometimes I have to wonder if humans are truly this evil just to get an edge over their enemies using the dead remains of their bodies like this or something else…

Nah.

I already accepted the fact that humans are really cruel bastards living in Akame ga Kill taught me that one.

Now that I have the place ready because a few days back I also paid a visit to the Marine Bases to get their maps of these islands would be best to think of an assassination attempt on the bad Arlong.

With the stage set, it was time to play the opening act.

In the 16th branch of the Marine Base, I paid them another visit again as I need a certain something from their leader, and just like last time I came prepared with my disguise as I made sure to knock everyone out.

My disappointment was still there with their men being weak even if they increase their security just pathetic but today was my lucky day.

To my luck, it was a very good day as I found Nezumi in his base today as I gagged him with a Marine sock from one of the soldiers dressed naked wearing underwear as I had my blade drawn as I pointed to him with fear expressed on his face.

Using my hoodie to hide I glared at the scum as I responded to the Marine Captain as I took out the sock as I talked, "Nezumi Marine Captain of the 16th branch… You have been targeted for crimes cooperating with the pirate captain Arlong as such I have come to assassinate you today…"

*Splat*

To further prove the point of my threat I just simply cut off the thing that makes a man a man off from him into a girl. I sliced off his dick as he cried in pain while I spoke, "Before your death, I'll be sure to torture you for all your crimes… no marine will come to save you seeing that Sea King has taken care of them, right? Quite the convenient and great creature wouldn't you say?"

Tears and piss were coming off from the man as he tried to plead for his life as he tried everything, he could say but I stopped him by speaking to him, "However… I'm more than willing to spare you if you were to set up a place for me to assassinate Arlong? If you do so I'll let you live…"

The scum didn't even hesitate to do it as he began to point me to his transponder snail as I had my sword in front of my neck. I had to make sure he didn't double-cross me in the middle of the talk no?

*Peroperoperopero*

The phone on the snail began to ring out as the other side began to click responding to a deep but angry voice at the other side, "What do you want Nezumi scum!! Can't you see I'm busy searching for my men that have gone missing the last five days ago!!!"

I see from the background I'm hearing it looks like he began to start his search himself or already has but hasn't met or caught the members yet. Good thinking on staying hidden in the already destroyed villages and him being arrogant.

With that Nezumi began to talk as I gave him the idea to talk about what I wanted him to say as he tries to not grunt in pain as he spoke as calmly as he could, "Sorry… Along sir but I got the news that someone on the island has been killing off your men from one of my soldier's reports. I also got from the culprit himself as he already killed a few of your men as a bounty hunter already talking where he keeps himself hidden. I already know where he lives as he keeps to himself to not cause the citizens problems since he blindly trusts the marines…"

*GRINDING*

Hearing loud sounds of grinding from the other end I can tell that this Fishman is pissed off to fucking hell. I would be the same if I knew my childhood friends were like that as well and hunt the bastards that did the deed.

Then from the other side, I hear Arlong respond as he spoke to Nezumi raged filled voice to us, "Tell me… where I can find this stupid bounty hunter so I can RIP HIS HEAD TO SHREDS FOR HARMING MY BROTHERS!!!!"

That was when I pointed towards a map from Nezumi base to the direct location I need him to be as I want him to be secluded from his allies and the sea taking away his advantages. I will face him on land to see whose wins out of this alive.

Nezumi began to tell the location of where I was but also silently told him that he only appears during the night in the area as he spoke, "He's in that location from the parts of Conomi Islands but won't appear till later at night so you might have to wait him out or go there to surprise him."

At the other end, Arlong was extremely arrogant as he responded to Nezumi blinded with a rage-filled voice, "FUCKING HELL I'LL KILL THE BASTARD BY MYSELF!!! NO ONE MESSES WITH THE ARLONG PIRATES!!!"

*Click*

With a clicking sound, Arlong disconnected the transponder snail as Nezumi looked at me in joy and fear, "There I did what you said now –"

*Swoosh*

Just like that, I decapitated his head as he lost his use for me as I then go to the meeting point with Arlong probably going there as I thought to myself, 'Good his going by himself that makes my job a lot easier. I need to end him at the spot if I can't then I'll go for other parts of his body to limit him since it will be dangerous and easier to fight against a rage-filled animal. But also, be careful to corner an animal with no way out will bear its fangs to the end.'

With that, I went full speed to the location to get ready for my attempt on Arlong life.
