16 Chapter 16: Embrace Your Dark Self
~Third POV~
Time has passed as the members were busy with their objectives as Ruby and Hinata were busy creating the bombs for the mission. In the meantime, Tatsumi and Saeko were busy sparing against each other.
The spar between the two was more one-sided as Tatsumi trained Saeko hard and how to avoid strikes as each mistake she takes was damaging her [Aura] instead but still felt the pain. This is how they use their time to wait for them to get the bombs ready.
But also, at the same time that day, a few of the Fishman noticed that some of their friends weren't around inside the Arlong Park so they decided to look for their fellow friends.
This, however, was that they were unaware of the fact they have passed on but still searched the islands looking for them till they meet with two sword-wielding duos…

In the deep forest once more was Tatsumi training Saeko as they waited for their group to create the bombs as it already took two days for them to get ready.
That was when they were invited unexpectedly by a group of Fishman as they appeared as if searching for someone as they found the duo as they spoke out angrily, "Hey! What are you inferior humans think you're doing here!!"
Noticing their presence Tatsumi smiled at this as he talks to Saeko while holding his short sword out as he talks to her, "Good? Looks like we have some target practice say Saeko how about I teach you how to fight against them. Even in two days, you should use this chance to get some experience."
Saeko on her part looked rather unsure but Tatsumi knew very well her personality was as he motivated her to embrace her sadistic self and what best time for her to embrace it than letting loose her frustration on them.
The group of Fishman consisting of six of them one of them got angry at them as he charges after the duo with clear rage, "You are fucking bastards!! You dare to mock your superiors!! DIE HUMAN SCUM!!!"
The Fishman was aiming after Saeko as she braces herself as she gets to her stance and she waits for him to attack at that moment as he were about to attack, she sided step away as she swings her blade at the arm using [Aura] to enhance the strike.
*Shing*
"Ahh! My Arm! MY ARM!! YOU BITCH!!!"
That was when the arm of the Fishman came flying off easily with no effort making Tatsumi raise his eyebrow at that as he thought to himself, 'That seems interesting? I had to train very hard to cut something like flesh with ease, but she seems to have already done it with ease… I need to see more.'
While Tatsumi examined the scene he also noticed Saeko flinch at what she has done but the smile on her face says otherwise. Saeko was starting to enjoy inflicting pain…
*Shing*
Another slash strike again but this time to the leg of the Fishman as it easily came off once more as Tatsumi realized something from the blade of her aura as Saeko couldn't help but feel the ecstatic pleasure she was feeling.
The Fishman that saw their friend lose his arm and leg were enraged at this as one of them get closer to kill Saeko as they yelled, "YOU BITCH!! WILL MAKE YOU PAY!!"
Saeko suddenly gets herself together as they tried to come towards her but…
*Swoosh*
*Splat*
In a quick swift motion, the two charging Fishman that tried to kill Saeko a few seconds ago were suddenly beheaded as their bodies went two separate directions as their heads rolled down from their bodies with their blood splatting down on the floor.
Saeko quickly realized the danger she was in as her heart beat faster from the initial attack as Tastumi responds to her with a concerned tone, "Hey Saeko you ok there? Do you seem to be shaken up a bit? Do you need me to take the rest down from here?"
Saeko wanted to say yes but she felt somewhat relieved from the save but the urge to cause harm was certainly stronger as she convinced herself to continue as she spoke with a blissful smile on her face that she didn't realize she was making, "No-o… I can continue. I do need the experience after all…"
*Shing*
To prove her point she finished off the Fishman she fought against as she killed him with her sword as the only three remainings saw the horror as she spoke to Tatsumi with some voice of excitement and enlightenment in her voice, "You don't have to worry much Tatsumi… I do thank you for the save. But I would like it to practice more, please… I need this…"
Tatsumi could only nod his head but also warned her as he spoke seriously to her, "Very well but I'll intervene if you are in danger."
Saeko could only nod as she rushes over to the three Fishman remaining as they got ready to combat her as they tried to use their Fishman Karate as they shot out water bullets but Saeko saw it as she tried her best to avoid being hit.
*Splash*
*Thud*
However, unlike the rest of the members, she was caught in the crossfire thinking she dodged it but was hit by their water bullet from their fist. When she got hit, she was hit through the air to a tree as her [Aura] was blinking back and forth.
*Swoosh*
Tatsumi seeing this was about to jump in as he saw the three were going to rush towards her, so he also rushed towards the three as well.
*Splat*
Tatsumi only managed to get two as the third one managed to escape his grasp as two of his friend's heads fell off from their bodies. Tatsumi's eyes widen in worry as he couldn't stop all three as the last one kept his eyes sight on Saeko.
The last Fishman had his eyes filled with rage as he grins happily going after the fallen Saeko as she saw the mad fish go after her as he uses his hand as he tries to rip her apart, "YOU BASTARDS!! IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO I'LL TAKE THIS – "
Saeko seeing that her life is threatened at the hands of a monster in front of her she was very scared to her core at the thought of dying…
Yet at the same time, she truly felt…
Blissful.
The pain, the rage she saw in her enemies for killing off her friend. The sense of joy of causing pain to the monster in front of her she couldn't help but feel… delighted to see that hateful expression.
Time seemed to have stopped as Saeko thinks to herself as she was fearful at first, 'I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die…'
But as she truly thought that she will die her very instincts and sadistic grin soon appeared on her face as something snapped inside her head as her body reacts to the situation at the moment as she thinks calmly for the first time, 'If I'm going to die… then I'll do it with no regrets of finally letting go my inner dark self…'
*Swoosh*
*Shing*
Just for a brief second Saeko [Aura] flared to life as if it flashed brightly blinding everyone nearby as Tatsumi shielded his eyes but the Fishman's eyes were exposed so brightly as he then instead crashed into the tree than Saeko herself as he started to roll around as he began to yell out loud in pain, "Ah! My eyes!! MY EYES I CAN'T SEE ANYMORE I – "

*Splat*
Before the Fishman could speak more, he was suddenly beheaded none other than Saeko as she laughs to herself seeing her enemy expression dead with pure shock as she talks to herself in a frantic tone, "Hahahaha!! The hold I held on to for so long… was finally released after holding it in for years… The feeling of seeing my enemies in pain, the anguish… I couldn't hold it anymore I needed this to…"
Just as she kept on talking Tatsumi suddenly stopped her frantic speaking with a simple hug as he told her in a calm tone as he spoke, "You don't have to hold it any more you know? Just make sure those feelings consume you. You are the same Saeko I met the first time remember? Just don't lose yourself."
Unaware Saeko was crying tears as she soon realized that on her face as she finally realized that she could've died right then and there as well as shaking nonstop. While she was happy from finally releasing herself, her body was still reminded of the fear of death from being ripped apart.
Her legs start to shakily wobble a bit before she loses consciousness of what happened earlier as she spoke out mentally tired, "I… see… sorry to have made you… worry…"
Just like that Saeko was knocked out as Tatsumi sighs at this as he begins to carry her back but not before removing the bodies away first.
As he carried her, he began to remember the blinding light from earlier as he spoke to himself in a soft tone unaware Saeko was listening to him, "Still though you did pretty well with your fight. At least I won't be the only one to feel the same as you do but I'm going to need to work on you to shape if you want to beat them in one shot Saeko. Still, what was with that purple flash of light though?"
While he was talking to himself Saeko smiled at that comment as she may have already found a comrade to understand her more as she then falls asleep from the mental exhaustion of the situation.
