The Chosen

Roy was pretty surprise with this new information that he was getting, because he knew that outer planetary exploration was one thing that was kept exclusive for the royal who were strong enough or space mages that where strong enough to travel through planes. And these were just not the only changes Seth had brought. The new emperor had disbanded the council becoming the supreme as his only confidant was those that aided him during the coup with the continent of light gaining the most benefits among others and the continent of waves and thunderstorms losing most of their authority as they became subordinates to the vassals from Light and Space continents each. The Automaton continent suddenly went missing as no one had an idea of how it just disappeared. This happened a day after the bloody ceremony that the place where the landmass that used to be a continent suddenly disappeared. There were many theories that arose but none was proven correct as this continent not too long ago became the lost continent of Automatons. The emperor had already established a special team to seek out this continent as he seeks to bring it back under his control.

If you desired to sacrifice everything to the emperor and become a vassal to gain more power than you ever thought you would ever dream of getting you could travel all the way to the capital where you would receive the mark of the emperor which was a serpent's eye with wings, this mark could give you so much power and even help you achieve breakthrough into the next rank but it was at a cost of lifetime stagnation as you won't be able to break through anymore. But what use is there for hope of a breakthrough when I have been stuck at this level all my life, this was the thought of many as they trooped to the capital to become marked. The mark could also improve any extra skill of your choosing be it a sword skill or magic skill bringing it up to your level at once, this meant one could become proficient in both a swordsman's skill or a magic trait just like the way Seth had brought up his mastery of space magic up to his level. These ones would go on to become the chosen.

This alone had caused the rapid rise in strength among the humans as many people that accepted the mark soon proved to be very capable of their new found strengths. This tempted even those that knew they weren't done and still had hope of a breakthrough as the chosen has access to another skill that would make them twice as strong. It was going to be a really tumultuous period in the kingdom as those that had been oppressed for being weak suddenly became the oppressors. The tables were totally switched as an unawaken could become one just by accepting the skill, it was that big of a deal. The next few weeks, no, months would be one hell of a tumultuous period of transition for the empire.

"Wow looks, like shit just got serious, a consequence had just been attached" standing up he stretched his body as he took off into the morning wind. Apparently, the previous day, old man Kop had let Denwen squat in his house. Denwen begged him to at least teach him the basics of Mana refinement but old man kop kept on declining but Denwen knew he couldn't give up not yet if he ever wanted to get his revenge.

'Is there anyway I can get stronger faster' Denwen asked internally expecting an answer maybe from the voice he heard some days ago, but he never got anything back 'too bad you can't communicate with me, it's been kind of lonely her, maybe one day we could have a good conversation' he thought as he continued jogging through the woods. 'Should I add the stat point to strength, that might make me stronger but I need to be faster as well, arrrrgg, too many choices' Denwen thought as he tried to figure out where to add the stat point 'what even is dexterity' maybe I would just place it there because it's at zero, maybe if I am to make myself balanced, I can be an all rounder just like father' he thought as he smiled. He continued jogging until he got a notification telling him he had reached his goal but there was no extra reward 'looks like I would get no extra rewards any more' he said as he shook his head.

"It's been sometime hasn't it" Denwen said as he sited the towns gate once more. The last time he came here he was naked but now he was a bit more well dressed and looked cleaner causing his charm points to take effect

"Mum, I like that boy" a little girl whispered as she saw Denwen with his long blonde hair that reached his shoulder length when Jogging past the gate as he stood and looked around "I know you do, he's quite the cute one" the mother laughed at her little girl's infatuation. There were whisper's here and there but not a lot as people commented his good looks 'I guess that's one thing that never changes' he thought as he smiled

"Hey, royal bum you're back" Roy shouted from afar once he saw Denwen enter the town

"I told you I am not a bum" Denwen said as he threw out a punch that landed on Roy making him fall over.

"Look at you" Roy said as he smiled raising up his hands to get assisted by Denwen.
