Chapter 59

Once the clash of elements ceased, a wall of smoke dotted the surroundings from the evaporated ice and water, all seemed to have calmed down until two figures moved with speed beyond any creatures on this area as they collided once more.

This time, the being made of water conjured hundreds of water pillars that acted like sentient whips. Each time one of them was swung on the ground, they would create a five meter deep crater. The primordial water, rumoured to be as light as any ordinary water but ten times heavier, had utilized its feature to take hold of Ryuhei's movements and lashed at him from all directions.

Covering himself with the hell flames, Ryuhei materialized a two handed great sword with the span of twelve meters and made of dark flames on his katana as he parried against any assaults of the water pillars.

Soon, while he enjoyed fighting against one of the fairy lords and decimated everything near both of them, Ryuhei had noticed that his abominations armies were much less numerous than what they were supposed to be, including his undead legion.

In a glance, he could see that his armies advancement had faltered, to the point that they would even be pushed back as the spriggans, fairies, and treants began to take advantage of this time where his attention was somewhere else and chipped away his troops.

'This won't do. If I let it be, then the armies would be devastated for sure.' Thought Ryuhei while he parried the assaults around him absentmindedly.

"Oh, you really underestimated me that much, huh. Elder lich."

Hearing the heavy but domineering voice behind him, Ryuhei widened his eyes and tried to turn his body behind. However, he was one step too late. With speed that didn't lose out from where they had clashed previously, the being made of water swiftly lashed out with a gigantic hand sweeping down from above as its body shot a barrage of water bullets.

Believing in his defense capability as he raised the intensity of the hell flames on his body, Ryuhei quickly swung vertically upwards while the water bullets were in deadlock as they had evaporated into mist the moment they were five meters away from Ryuhei.

Then, unpredicted by Ryuhei, a water whip dug deep to the ground and emerged right behind Ryuhei as it froze and plunged its tip on Ryuhei's back. Although the flames in Ryuhei's body tried to burn the ice spear immediately, it still persevered as it successfully stabbed the backside of Ryuhei's waist, making Ryuhei stumble for an instant because of the sudden attack.

Realizing the chance, the water clenched its other fist and sent a punch towards Ryuhei in the split second when he had stumbled on his footing. Trying to block it off with the back of his blade, Ryuhei increased the size of the two handed great sword while polearm to support the blade.

*BANG!*

Blowing Ryuhei away, the water threw another punch as it stretched out its arm while Ryuhei was still in midair. This time, Ryuhei spun his body in the air and swung his sword at the incoming huge fist while using the momentum of the collision to fling himself to another direction.

Landing his feet on the ground, Ryuhei raised his hand and materialized a giant spear of dark flames, with a diameter of eight meters and a length of thirty meters. The spear's heat had distorted even the space around it as Ryuhei manifested his real face unto that of rotting skeleton with emerald embers in his eye sockets.

"F*ck off."

Throwing the spear with speed that rivalled even a tank shell, Ryuhei ignored the result of his attack and the booming noise in the distance. Turning his hand in the direction of the front line, Ryuhei gathered and guided all the wounds of abominations that had lingered in the air to a spot while he chanted.

"Rise."

A whirlwind of dark smoke appeared out of thin air right on the spot where Ryuhei's palm pointed. Giant bones materialized one after another as they flew in the eye of the hurricane and attached into the other bones to build a huge being.

Soon after the hurricane had receded, a black skeleton of a dragon that was twenty meters wide and fifty meters long emerged in its place. Its eye sockets were burned in crimson flames and its presence alone had emitted a threatening appearance. Looming above the two armies, the black skeletal dragon moved its gaze to its contractor, Ryuhei, and spoke in a deep and ancient voice.

"Who shall perish?" It asked, while it was motionlessly floating in the air.

"Those who stand against me and my legion. Eradicate all of them." Answered Ryuhei in a soft and calm voice, something that couldn't be heard at all after the sound passed through a twenty meters radius.

"It will be done." Responded the dragon as it tried to take a deep breath.

However, before it could exhale the magic power the black skeletal dragon had gathered in its throat, someone moving at the speed of sound immediately arrived under the black dragon.

Jumping so high that he could face the dragon closely, Zuyuan smiled and said, "Not a chance."

Swinging his sword that was extended by his energy towards the skeletal dragon's nose, Zuyuan's blade cleanly cut through the bone and lodged off the entire jaw of the dragon as he fell to the ground together with the lower mouth of the beast.

As he fell, the dragon let out a high pitch roar even though its mouth had been slashed off, while the embers in its eyes flickered when it stared at Zuyuan's figure.

"Mortal! How dare you abide by such cowardice in my presence!?" The dragon spoke through magical means, rage filling it's flaming eye sockets.

"And how dare you abide by such low standards then? I mean, look at this guy he's a rotting corpse with a horrendous face." Zuyuan mocked as he pointed his sword towards Ryuhei.

"Mocking your enemies? It is a fool's advice to overestimate one's self." Replied the dragon, while its gaze shifted to the aura that surrounded Zuyuan's sword.

The atmosphere immediately changed once it realized what the man held, it was a blade it knew all too well despite never experiencing it.

"T-That blade.. How.." It stuttered with the flames in its eyes flickering drastically in a frenzied manner.

"It's a good sword isn't it?" Smirked Zuyuan, now having attuned himself to the new blade he held. "No matter what I strike, it cuts right through like a hot knife through butter, be it abomination or undead."

He spoke, glancing at his sword for a moment before shifting his gaze back to the dragon.

"And you're next on the slicing board."
