54 Chapter 62 Time

((( Rhio POV' s )))

Deo usually have some change of clothes in the car. I didn't like her to wear shirt that belonged to some men but I can't give her mine either. An unopened pack from the fashion department store waited at the backseat as if fate wanted it to be. It was a teen female tee Deo might have gotten for his sister. But whatever, I'll just pay him back.

She looked at it suspiciously when I returned. "Why do you have something like this? Is this your lover's clothes?"

"It got mixed in the car by mistake," I lied.

She looked disbelieving, "I doubt it."

"Can't you see it's still wrapped? So don't think I've been with some woman."

"Alright. I'll change at the back of that tree so turn around and don't ever peek at me," she ordered.

I'm impatient but waiting for her seemed just a second. In a blink, we're back to the car in silence. I didn't start the engine yet and we just sat there like troubled couples.

"Now that I've told you my problems," she said without turning to me, "Tell me yours."

It didn't take me long to think.

"Time."

I bit the strip of fried potato.

She looked confused.

"I'm at war with time to meet a woman," I explained.

She was even more confused.

"In a month or two I need to have my own child…" I sighed. "And possibly get married."

She crossed her arms, "Why are you rushing? You still look young? And…didn't you say you hate us?"

"Some," I corrected.

"Why do you dislike women?" Are you gay?"

I almost choked. "I'm not! I'll even kiss you."

She bit her unfinished burger.

"And why in a month? Are you terminally sick?" Her eyes were sympathetic.

"Sick yes but I'm not dying," I snorted. "If treatments don't cure me, in another two months I'd be infertile entirely."

Her eyes were wide.

"Have faith. You'll get cured," she advised optimistically.

Faith? I hate hoping.

"Let's go home."

"Isn't it still early?" she protested.

I started the engine and gripped the steering wheel. Jasmin sunk unwillingly at her seat and was quiet the whole ride.
