8 Decisions & Money

After Rose left the room I was sat alone, for a few minutes I just sat there taking in all the information I had been given.

I took a moment to gather myself, and picked up the book that had been placed on the table.

Before opening the book the sheer thickness took me by surprise, I knew we were never really introduced to most of the gods but from the thickness of the book there should be thousands.

Opening the book, names of gods I had never heard of before, filled the pages, here and there I would see a name i

knew either from this world, or a name from my old world like Thor the god of thunder.

As I skimmed through the book I saw a few names I considered, like the Loki Familia, but they won't normally accept new level 1 adventures.

Also, the Hephaestus Familia where my fire would be a great asset, quite possibly make me one of the greatest craftsmen with precise heat control unlike any before me.

Having looked through the book for quite a while, Rose finally came back into the room.

"So have you found any Familia to your liking?" Rose asked as she took her seat again.

"Yea I think I have decided, there were a few good ones. But I think I've made up my mind." I told her as I pointed to the Familia that I think would be best both for me and for the Familia." i

"Ohh that's interesting not a lot of people show interest for small Familia's like this one, they also used to have me as their advisor when they did dungeon dives." Rose answered me with the smallest hint of a smile.

"Well before you can even reach there it will be dark. So why don't I send a letter letting them know to expect you some time tomorrow?" Rose asked me with a neutral tone, but a stare that seemed to tell otherwise.

"Y-Yes that sounds like a great idea" I stammered out.

"Good. There is few good inn's in the same district as the Familia is located in, here let me write you down some directions for one of the inn's and the Familia." Rose said, as she wrote down the directions for me.

"Also I will be your advisor, until something else is decided in the Familia you end up joining. So from now on call me Rose." Rose told me, as she handed me the paper with the directions.

"Thanks Rose" I quickly replied.

As I made my way out of the pantheon, I was in high spirits.

'This is great, no EvilUs to worry about. For the next 7 years I can just focus on getting stronger and bettering myself.' I thought.

As I was walking and thinking to my self, I thought about the money I had gotten.

9,000 Valis that was the amount had gotten.

"Valis is the currency used in Orario. One can buy a Jagamarukun (basically mashed potato that is filled with something and then fried) at 30-40 valis. Materials for one meal at 50 valis, and a more expensive meal at a bar for 300 valis. Bell's first dagger cost 3,600 valis, his first armor cost 5,000 valis, and the lowest rank potion costs 500 valis. A party of five Level 1 adventurers can make around 25,000 valis a day," I mumbled to myself. (gotten from Wiki in case you think I'm a lunatic)

"So with the amount I got for the crystals I should be able to go a couple of weeks if all else fails" I told myself.

I soon arrived at the inn Rose had given me directions for, as I stepped into the inn I was hit with many different smells, the most prominent one was that off food.

Until now, it had escaped me just how hungry I was going all day without any food, so without further delay I walked up to the bar counter and sat down.

Within a few minutes the innkeeper, a middle-aged man came up to me.

"Hey boy, what can I get for you?" The innkeeper asked me.

"Hi, an employee for the guild told me this was a good inn, so I came to get a room and something to eat." I told him as I looked around the room.

"Ah-ha so the guild sent you here, since that's the case we do got a few rooms left." The inn keep told me with a small laugh.

"As for food we only have today's special left, which is roasted chicken with sides, will that suit you" he asked in a joking tone.

"Haha Yea that's perfect, oh and a glass of water too if you have any that is?" I replied in a teasing tone.

"Coming right up!" He exclaimed and went on his merry way.

It didn't take long before my food got here with a glass of water, I was quick to consume it all.

After letting out a small satisfied burp, I was just about ready to sleep in a bed for the first time in a long while, so I flagged down the innkeeper.

"So how much do I owe you?" I asked the inn keep.

"Hmm Lets see, 250 for the meal, and 450 for a room for the night. So in total that 700 Valis." He told me

"Great here you go, and thanks for the food, it was great." I answered as I handed him 1000 Valis.

"The rest is for breakfast tomorrow, Goodnight" I exclaimed as I ran up the stair to my room.
