PREFACE He pushed her against the wall, holding her firm and steady. The tension between them was becoming so unbearable. She hates this guy standing in front of her but she can't deny how much she wants him inside of her. She was dripping wet for him. She can feel her p**sy painfully throbbing for his touch, kisses, and d**k. He leaned his face closer to hers, their lips almost touching. The closeness between them intensifies their s*xual needs. She could feel his er*ction rubbing against her. “You want this as much as I do, Foxy. Why playing hard to get?” His breath fanned her face, sending shivers down her spine. “We are enemies.” She said, trying to remind herself and knock some senses into her but that didn't work. The tension didn't die down as she'd expected. He smirked, kissing her neck. Her eyes momentarily went shut and her breathing picked up to an unusual rhythm. “Wanna play a game, Foxy?” He asked, moving his lips away from her neck and looking deeply into her eyes. She furrowed her brows, least expecting those words. “Game? What are you on about?” “We both can't deny the s*xual attraction we feel for each other. You want me as much as I want you. So how about we play the game of dares?” He raised a questioning brow at her. “You are sick.” She attempted to push him away but he held her firm and groped her a*s to which she released a soft moan, biting her bottom lip. He wasn't wrong when he said she wanted him. Her body was in desperate need of his d**k and touch but her heart and soul wants him dead. “Are you scared of falling in love with me if I f**k you?” He said, teasingly. “In your dreams.” She spoke. “So what's stopping you now, Foxy?” He whispered softly into her ears, gripping her a*s tight and peppering hot kisses over her neck and shoulder blade. She couldn't think straight with his hands exploring her body. She was f**king wet for him. “Come on, say yes to the game. It will just be between you and I.” He paused. “So tell me, are you in?” She hesitated before saying, “As much as I want you to f**k me, I still won't hesitate to kill you after we take care of that bastard.” “The feeling is mutual,” “Fine. I'm in.” He ran the tip of his tongue over her earlobes and she shivered, inhaling a deep breath. “Good choice. Now, I dare you to open your legs, I want to f**k you against this door.” It was a dangerous game but both were willing to risk it!

CHAPTER 19🦋20

★~•★~•★

{ THE CHASE }

<RUSSIAN EMPIRE ★ A FEW HOURS BEFORE THE BALL>

Mr. Maynard was going through some paperwork when he heard a knock on the door.

"Yes? Come in," He said, not taking his eyes off the files in front of him.

The door flew open and Harry strolled inside the office alongside Hudson.

Maynard lifted his gaze to look at them and raised a questioning brow.

"Father," Harry said at the same time Hudson said, "Boss." They both bowed their heads in respect.

"To what do I own this visit?" He asked, leaning back on the black leather chair he was sitting down on and looking between the two boys. "Why are you both here to see me? And besides, shouldn't you be busy getting ready for the ball?"

"We are here to talk, Father." Harry stated, pulling a chair out to sit down. "It is very important.

Hudson stood behind Harry's seat, leaning towards the headrest.

"Hmm. What is it?" Maynard asked after a moment of silence.

"I've decided on what to do about Justus."

"Oh, really? What's the plan, I'm all ears."

Harry hesitated for a few seconds before answering his father's question that hung in the air.

"I'm going to kill him tonight."

"What? Wait, when did the both of you come up with this plan?" He asked.

"An hour ago." Hudson answered.

Maynard furrowed his brows, thinking about the idea.

He lets out a deep breath and leaned forward to the black desk, dropping his elbows on the surface.

"That's a good idea. Justus will be around tonight because of the ball. We could use that to our advantage." Maynard reasoned.

"Exactly." Harry nodded his head, watching his father closely. "This could be our only opportunity to kill him."

"More opportunities can come up in the future, Harry." Hudson stated.

"But it will take a while." Maynard said before Harry could speak up. "Justus is a very busy man and he is based in Mexico and not here. If we don't act fast tonight..." He shook his head. "It would be difficult to bring him down later on. Moreover, he will least be expecting our comeback."

"I'm glad you understand me." Harry let out.

"I understand you, son. You are one smart man I am always proud of." Maynard smiled. "You can do as you've planned. I trust you to do a good job but make sure to be careful so as not to get caught. Remember the rules of the Mafia balls..."

Harry scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"No fighting, killing, or disagreement allowed or else the one caught prohibiting the rule will be suspended alongside his Empire from dealing with shipments or anything that has to do with the mafia world for three years."

"Who even came up with such a ridiculous rule and punishment?" Hudson groaned.

"I know, right? It's so cliche. Like come on, how can mafias from different parts of the world come together under one roof without fighting?"

"If I can remember clearly, we were suspended twice because of you and that b*tch." Hudson reminded.

"Ugh. That crazy girl always gets on my nerves. I just hope we don't come across each other in the party. I don't know if I can keep my cool with her around." Harry mumbled.

"Keep your head in the game, Harry." Maynard said, drawing the two boys' attention back to the relevant matter at hand. "Justus must die tonight."

Harry gave a firm nod.

"It's my plan, Father. I won't forget that."

<PRESENT TIME ★ AT THE BALL>

"Long time no see, Love." He smirked, taking a step closer to her.

"When are you going to die, Harry?" Scarlett asked in a bored tone.

He chuckled darkly, shoving his hands into his pants pocket.

"No time soon, Foxy. So get used to seeing my handsome face." He winked.

She arrogantly rolled her eyes, moving her gaze back to her target. Justus Augustine.

"You know, I didn't expect to see you here," Harry mumbled, snapping his fingers to a waiter who hurriedly walked up to him. "I will have this," He muttered, grabbing a glass of scotch from the tray.

Scarlett exchanged her empty glass with a glass of martini.

All thanks to Harry who made her spill her cocktail, she has to get another drink.

The waiter bowed his head and scurried away from both fear and because he was called over by someone else.

Harry took a sip of scotch, clearing his throat as he rested his gaze upon Justus who was still busy having a conversation with some mafia bosses.

There was a deafening silence between the both of them until Scarlett spoke up, commenting on his last words to her.

"What do you mean by you weren't expecting to see me here?" She raised a questioning brow, staring at him.

He shrugged his shoulders, taking another sip of scotch. "Everyone knows how much you hate having fun."

"Killing is fun and I don't hate it." She remarked. "However, there is something that I hate so much around here."

Harry grinned, naughtily, knowing exactly who 'that something' is.

"Let me take a guess, me."

"Ah. I didn't know you were this smart." She said sarcastically.

Everyone on the second floor - around Harry and Scarlett, was stealing glances at them. All ready to run or defend themselves by the time they start fighting like usual.

It is no longer news to anyone about Harry and Scarlett's hate for each other. They don't even remember the last time they saw them having a conversation like this without trying to tear each other apart.

Although, there is a rule guiding this gathering. And that rule states that everyone gathered here must party in peace and not in pieces. No fighting, no argument, no hate, and no disagreement.

Because as long as this ball party is concerned, everybody is one regardless of their differences and empires.

And for anyone who breaks the rule, they must be severally punished!

However, Harry and Scarlett being the stubborn people that they are have broken this particular rule twice.

They were banned from coming to the ball party and getting involved in the mafia world for three years.

But that didn't calm people's nerves down. They are always worried and alert whenever Harry and Scarlett are seen together. And right now, happens to be one of those times.

"You make me laugh, love." He smiled.

Scarlett threw a hard glare at him, balling her other fist as she tries to calm herself down and not flare up. Not like she was afraid of getting punished but she wasn't just here to drink and be merry, she was here to get a very important job done.

"I had rather be called a pig than to be called your love. Don't call me that again." She warned.

Harry shot one of his hands up in the air in surrender, not taking off the annoying smirk from his face.

"My bad. I will keep that in mind to call you a pig rather than Love."

"Just die, Harry." She scoffed, focusing her attention back to Justus Augustine.

"You really want me dead, don't you?"

"Trust me, you don't know how much I am waiting for your demise. And I promise to throw you the most expensive and biggest party in the whole Universe for your funeral." It was her turn to smirk.

Harry nodded his head. "I promise to do the same. Whoever kills the other must throw a big party for the funeral of the loser."

"Agreed."

"Cheers on that?" He raised his drink, awaiting her next move.

Scarlett hesitated before clinking her glass with his.

"Cheers on that." She sighted Justus walking towards the exit and immediately turned around.

"Where are you going, Foxy?" Harry asked.

"Stay away from me." That was her reply as she descended the stairs, making sure not to lose sight of her prey.

Harry went the other way on seeing Justus walking towards the exit.

"F**k. Where is he off to? I can't miss this opportunity." He hissed.

••••

Justus rushed to the parking lot, looking around to see if he was followed by anybody. Most particularly, Harry or Scarlett.

His consigliere, Rafferty, came down from a white range rover car and approached him, bowing his head slightly in greetings and respect.

"Boss, are you okay? Is the party over?" Rafferty asked.

"Any news about the assassins?" He asked, ignoring Rafferty's questions.

"Luke and Gina?"

"Yes."

"I haven't heard anything from them. Why do you ask?"

"I saw Harry and Scarlett in there."

"What? Shouldn't they be dead by now?"

"Exactly. I'm sure they caught the assassins. Because it seems like..." He sighted Scarlett coming out of the hall where the party is taking place and a few seconds later, Harry stepped out as well. "Oh, f**k. They are really here to kill me. Let's get out of here, Rafferty. Hurry."

"Okay, boss."

They ran towards their car, jumped inside, and drove off.

Scarlett ran towards her black Lamborghini sports car and hopped inside, driving after Justus's car.

Harry was not left behind as he also entered his gray Ferrari sports car and zoomed off after them.

••••

<INSIDE>

Gunner leaned close to his boss and whispered to his ears.

"Scarlett just went after Justus."

"Did anyone see them leaving the party?" Osvaldo whispered back, making sure nobody was eavesdropping on their conversation.

But well, everyone was busy having fun and no one had the time to eavesdrop on them.

"I don't think so."

Osvaldo smiled, releasing a deep breath. "We should be expecting good news then. Scarlett never fails a mission."

"I know she doesn't." Gunner agreed, smiling back.

"Let's have fun here while Scarlett will have her fun with Justus, shall we?"

"Of course, boss."

••••

Maynard led Hudson to a secluded spot where there are few uninterested people lingering around.

"Where is Harry?" The man asked quietly so as not to grab anyone's attention.

"He just went after Justus." Hudson answered.

"Did anyone see him leaving the party with the bastard?" He asked.

"I don't think so." Hudson shook his head.

"Hmm." Maynard sighed, relaxing a little bit. "I trust Harry to do a good job with Justus. By tomorrow morning, the fool will be found dead." He smirked.

"Harry never fails a mission and taking down Justus will be a very easy task for him." Hudson added, feeling super proud of his best friend.

••••

<RUSSIAN EMPIRE ★ 9:30 PM>

"Thank you much for today, Hugo. I really appreciate it." Jesse said, smiling.

"I'm glad you had fun."

She bobbed her head up and down, fiddling with her fingers.

"Yes, I did. What about you?"

"Well..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I actually don't enjoy that kind of outing. I'm sorry."

She waved him off. "Nah, it's fine. I appreciate your honesty." She told him.

"You should go to bed," Hugo stated.

Jesse gave him the 'Are you kidding me' look.

"You are joking. How can you ask me to go to bed by this time?"

"It is 9:30 pm." He noted.

"So? It's way too early to go to bed, okay?" She huffed.

They heard the sound of a door clicking upstairs. Hugo quickly pulled out his gun and stepped forward to stand in front of Jesse.

They both heard the footsteps of someone descending the stairs.

"What's going on?" Jesse whispered to Hugo's ears, breathing heavily in fear.

"Shhh," He shushed her, placing his finger on the trigger and ready to shoot.

The 'intruder' finally climbed down the last step, coming into view, and then, Jesse's eyes went wide and a huge grin plastered her face.

"Mother!"

••••

<EXPRESS LANE>

"Go faster!" Justus screamed, looking back at Scarlett's sports car that was a few miles away from his car.

"Oh, God. She is getting close. F**king step on the accelerator, Rafferty!" He kept screaming.

Rafferty did as his boss said, overtaking a public bus.

Scarlett stepped on the accelerator, maneuvering some cars.

👥 What the hell!?

👥 You are not on a freaking race, goddammit.

👥 This is why ladies shouldn't drive.

She heard their rants but paid no attention to any.

However, there was a voice that caught her interest and made her face the other side only to find Harry, driving side by side with her.

"What are you doing!?" He screamed so she could hear him.

"That should be my damn line. Are you following me now?"

"You wish." He fired back.

"Wishes come true, remember? Why are you f**king following me, arsehole?" She retorted.

"I am not following you, bitch." Harry groaned.

They both caught sight of Justus's car making a turn and they quickly made the same turn before they lose him.

"Wait, are you chasing after Justus?" Scarlett asked as Harry's car came up beside hers.

"Yeah. The same goes for you, right?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Why are you chasing after him?"

"None of your f**king business!" She grunted, stepping on the accelerator to the highest speed and leaving Harry behind.

"No way I'm going to let you get to him first." Harry mumbled under his breath, as he likewise stepped on the accelerator of his car and overtake Scarlett.

"Argh. You want to play this game with me? Well, game on!" Scarlett snarled, overtaking Harry once again.

They kept on overtaking each other, both not willing to let the other surpass.

A truck came out of nowhere, heading towards Harry and Scarlett's cars.

Immediately, the both of them, moved apart, letting the truck be in between them.

But that didn't stop them from chasing after Justus, whose car was ten miles away.

Eventually, the truck turned a corner, driving away from in between Harry and Scarlett.

They both glanced at each other and looked away at the same time, focusing their attention on Justus.

"Let's see who gets the old hag first." They both whispered at the same time.

••••

<BACK TO THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE>

"Mother!" Jesse ran into her mother's arms, grinning widely. "I've missed you so much."

"I missed you too, honey. How are you?"

"I'm fine. When did you come back from your hometown?"

"An hour ago. Where are you coming back from? And where did your father and brother go? I've been looking for all of you." Mrs. Maynard stated.

"I went out with some friends alongside Hugo. As for Dad and Harry, they left for a mafia ball party." She answered.

"Oh, I see." The woman moved her gaze to Hugo and smiled. "How are you, Hugo?"

"I'm fine," He answered, tucking his gun back into his waistband. "I will outside."

"Okay, dear." Mrs. Maynard nodded her head.

Hugo turned around and left the living room.

"Come on, love. We have a lot of catching up to do, don't you think?"

Jesse nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we do."

They both went upstairs.

••••

"F**K!!!!" Justus yelled at the top of his lungs, bringing out a gun. "I'm going to shoot them."

"No, you can't." Rafferty disagreed. "We are going to grab people's attention that way."

"Shit." His phone started ringing.

He snatched the vibrating device on the black leather chair and answered the call.

"¿Hola?" (Hello?). He answered after placing the phone against his ear.

A dark voice filled the other line.

"¿Ellos siguen detrás de ti?" (Are they still after you?)

"Sì." (Yes)

"No te preocupes, ya envié ayuda. Estarán allí en cualquier segundo." (Don't worry, I already sent help. They will be there in any seconds). The dark voice promised.

"Gracias. te debo presto." (Thank you. I owe you for this).

The call got disconnected and a smile appeared on Justus's face as he relaxed back to the seat.

"Everything is under control..." He muttered.

A few seconds later, five similar cars came into view and a truck as well.

The truck drove in the way of Harry and Scarlett, giving them no way to pass through.

"What the f**king hell?" Scarlett groaned at the top of her lungs, honking but the truck wouldn't leave the way.

"F**k, this is all planned out." Harry grumbled, jumping out of his car and so did Scarlett.

She brought out her knife from her pocket and climbed the truck, climbing over to the other side of the road.

Harry did the same.

They saw only four similar cars, lined up with sixteen men standing beside the cars.

Justus Augustine was nowhere to be found.

"Shit, shit, shit!" Scarlett snapped, clutching her knife.

"How did I lose him?" Harry growled in anger.

They both exchanged glances.

"What are we going to do about them?" Harry asked Scarlett, referring to the men who were ready to fight.

Scarlett cracked her knuckles, twirling her knife over her fingers.

"We f**k them up."

"For the first time, I'm going to agree with you."

She glared at him. "Good for you."

"Let's forget about our hate for each other and f**k this f**kers up."

"Lets " do that she smirked.
