11 A good problem to have

Two weeks had passed since alex had gotten his horns and spines for channeling the thunder element. a few things had changed in this time , the first was that alex had hit the size he wanted thanks to daily hunting of great jagras or kulu ya ku that gave half as much points as a great jagras. the weird chicken raptor monster was actually fast as hell when it ran at full tilt making it annoying to catch if he didn't get a hold of it quickly. alex had been officially listed as a possible elder dragon once he hit his current size of nineteen hundred cm.

Another change was that word had officially arrived from the commission that the recruitment of the fifth fleet was done and that in another month the fleet would set sail following zorah magdaros. it was about a two and a half month journey by ship to the new world so alex knew he only had about four months left till the events of the game. during these two weeks alex's thunder element had steadily grown thicker until he reached the same point as the tobi kadadachi in the ancient forest.

The light orb didn't lose its effect at this point but alex could tell that as his element grew the grains of sand he got from the orb would take longer and longer to add up. alex decided to branch out by getting another element , specifically the water element because there was a pretty good amount of monsters with a weakness to it. the best part about getting it was that thanks to the fact he had the thunder element already he wasn't getting any new weaknesses. he hissed at the price of six hundred thousand points for the weakest affinity to the element though.

The original price for the elements was three hundred thousand points but after getting the thunder element alex didn't realize that the price doubled. this stung to see as it meant he was going to struggle with gathering enough points to have both elements not to mention have them be useable by the time the fifth fleet arrived. this meant he needed to scrap the all element plan for now and pick a different direction to grow in. this lead to him having a headache at how many choices he had in total.

The easiest route at the moment was the brute force route that focused on condensing a stupid amount of strength into his body. he had a few ways he could do this , the first was simply making his muscles denser. doing this would make the force each muscle was capable of exerting rise explosively similar to how a tigrex was very lean but could toss boulders almost effortlessly. the second method was to create the perfect A virus that wasn't contagious but fused perfectly with him. the A virus changed the literal genetic makeup of the person infected with it towards the most perfect outcome.

This was a high risk high reward type thing as if the virus didn't agree with your body it would mutate you into a horribly deformed monster or just straight up dissolve you due to genetic collapse. this was why alex knew to make sure it would fuse with him perfectly rather than leave it up to chance. by adding the non-contagious part alex could ensure that if someone or some monster got some of his flesh or blood into it they wouldn't get infected. as great as a perfect genetic hunter would be it could be down right apocalyptical if an elder dragon got infected.

Alex could also use any number of other strength gaining things from various media sources. he crossed the saiyan zen kai boost off that list however as it cost almost five hundred million points. he wasn't even surprised at the price since the innate ability basically gave you infinite potential so long as you constantly pushed yourself. the devil fruit abilities were also a possibility that was pretty tempting all things considered as he had his pick of the litter in that regard. the paramecia types weren't that expensive but the logia's actually cost more than a new element , likely since they gave one anyway in addition to the elementalization.

The price of the fruits jumped even further when he removed the amount limit as well as the curse of the sea. alex didn't even consider the zoan type since he had no intention of being a shape shifter. the only zoan fruit he considered was the uo uo no mi: model azure dragon but it was stupidly expensive which wasn't odd considering it basically instantly turned someone into an elder dragon with multiple elements. if alex remembered correctly kaido was shown using both thunder and fire elements and also likely would have had the dragon element in this world as well.
