First part of the festival.

Everyone was excited to show off their quirks. Aizawa told us about how pros would be watching and that this could decide our entire internship while ending the announcement with giving me a look of encouragement.

Everyone wasn't happy about not being able to use their costumes. Until it was explained that it was to give everyone a fair chance. The declaration of war thing was hanging over everyone's heads fortunately I avoided that situation. Gotta love mountain training. I talked to kirishima about it and he called me a real man. He's real good for boosting someone confidence.

We had our meal then made our way to the venue while todoroki gave his challenge to deku then glances at me stating the same. I replied " ice won't work on me so you better come at me with everything you have if you want to be number 1". He contemplated on that statement. Mina asked me by what I meant by that and I explained "Mina his quirk is called half hot half cold, he's only shown half of what he can do but for some reason won't use the other half so I'm giving him a push to see what he can do". She nodded and smacked my back saying "that's my man". I blushed.

We were in a corridor surrounded by other students while present mic and midnight explained about the race. I was excited as I had though of numerous strategies. I'm not helping Mina in this round as she needs some independence. I spotted some of 1-B students and shinso from 1-C with mineta near him which means he still managed to get in. I lost interest in the rest and began to crouch, the buzzer began to sound as the doors opened and people immediately sprung to action. I turned to sand and flew past everyone I could meeting momo jumping everybody with a poll and bakugo flying via explosion. I spotted the zero pointers in the distance and took action.

I rushed towards one of their legs and jumped. "BARJÁN" I said as my sand cleaved through its leg eroding the inner material. The leg began to separate as the robot began to fall towards the applicants. Todoroki has the same idea so we cleared it at the same time however I turned around and used desert dunes to push everybody back so they wouldn't get crushed which led to some people getting ahead of me. No matter as I don't want first in this event.

I began sprinting to the next obstacle which was the tightrope. Rather than slow down I used sables and turned to sand to leap over the obstacle all together. This led me to the mine field with todoroki and bakugo racing towards the finish. Rather than allow deku to steal the spotlight I decided to fight dirty. I used desert dunes and pushed forward sending every mine upwards activating them.

BOOOoOoOoOoOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

The field exploded as everyone on it was sent airborne and people arriving towards it were knocked on their asses. I began rushing through the smoke as I could feel my way around and arrived at the end earning second place with bakugo gaining first as he could move airborne. Todoroki came third as he made an ice hill and slid down and skated towards the entrance. The winners were more or less the same except I appear to have taken aoyamas position. All in all a great start to the day.
