Grocery shopping (chapter 45)

Lucas sighed heavily,now that he had given his orders he knew it won't be long before things turn ugly,but he had already made his mind,he looked at his wrist watch to him time was moving at a snail speed he just wished it was lunch time so he could get a glimpse of Jennie, during breakfast he had noticed Jennie's face turn red a couple of times and he couldn't help being amazed,he was tempted to tease her but he was unable to but given the chance he would tease her to his heart content, remembering how she had covered him with a blanket a warm feeling would spread all over his body.Jennie didn't feel like watching the movie playing on the tv,she sat there bored to death every time whenever she would hear some noises she would quickly look upstairs like she was waiting for a certain someone and once she didn't see him she couldn't help but feel dissapointed,after their breakfast she had volunteered to help their houskeeper wash untensil since then she had seen Lucas.Feeling the weather was nice for a swim,she headed to their bedroom wrapped with a towel underneath she wore a bikini,she headed outside and tossing the towel to the ground she sat slowly on the edge of the swimming pool,she dipped her toes feeling the temperature was to her liking,she splashed the water with her legs unable to contain her excitement and soon she began swimming,she swam in the water like a proffesional,it was like water was her natural habitat her pregnacy not limiting her.She heard footsteps approaching,her heartbeat increased and she couldn't help but turn around but soon she was dissapointed,the one heading towards her was the housekeeper,the dissapointed in her eyes quickly vanished as it had appeared,the houskeeper not knowing her dissapionted walked closer to her with a smile on her face on her hand she held a fresh mango juice."Having fun?" she asked gently placing the glass near the edge of the swimming pool,"yeah wanna join,the weather is good" she invited "no no I'm already too old,I might drown" she joked,Jennie smiled and swam where the glass was placed "thanks" she said taking the glass and unhurriedly took a sip,she closed her eyes satisfied by it's rich flavour, seeing her reaction the houskeeper couldn't help but chuckle,she had noticed that she appreciated every small thing she did for her,looking at her now she was like a mother in law taking care of her pregnant daughter in law,she was paid to do this but she did it happily from the bottom of her heart she treated her like her own daughter.

"What do you want to eat for lunch?" she asked wanting to know her suggestion "anything you cook is fine by me" she replied,she enjoyed her cooking alot,the housekeeper looked at her with gentle eyes,they weren't so close to each other but Jennie could sense her motherly love for her and because she had never received love from her parents she didn't know how to react,she always hesitates to be closer to her,but for once in her life she was surrounded by people who truly cared for her she couldn't be more grateful for meeting them,it was like a compensation for all the suffering she had undergone in her entire life,"call me if you need anything" she said and without waiting for her response she turned to leave.Jennie sat on the edge of the pool savouring the delicious juice,she was so engrossed in her own little world that she failed to notice that someone was heading towards her,after staying in the study room for a long time Lucas couldn't help it but wish to do something to distract himself,his mind kept on thinking about the depressing discoveries he had discovered so he decided to look for Jennie,he had recalled he was supposed to visit his grandfather having a good reason to look for her he quickly left the study room.Her back was facing him and without thinking much he hurriedly walked closer to her,Lucas stopped walking abruptly his breath caught on his chest, that's because he saw her pale flawless back dripping with water,he gulp hard and quickly decided to walk away before she notices his presence but it's like the universe was aganist him just as he had turned she called "Lucas" jennie called unable to contain her excitement, her excitement was like that of a toddler who had heard his father's voice coming from work,left with no choice Lucas turned to face her and that's when she realised her behaviour was a little too much a flush appeared on her face her heart beating wildly.

Lucas looked at her intently holding his breath,his eyes trailed from her eyes to her collarbone,neck his eyes further trailed to her boobs,they were a little bigger a part of it's skin exposed dripping with water and yet again he gulped hard,his throat dry,his heart thumping hard against his ribcage,his mind was blank unable to process anything or focus on anything apart from the enchantress who was standing Infront of him,his eyes trailed to her exposed tummy and noticed her baby bump was growing, he didn't dare look further because he felt like his body was on fire threateningly to burn his entire being.Being stared with that kind of expression Jennie looked at herself and that's when it hit her she was half naked standing infront of a man,her cheeks further reddened and quickly she took the towel that lied on the ground and covered herself only her thighs and legs were exposed,she had completely forgotten that she was almost naked before calling him,she liked swimming with a bikini because it was more comfortable.Lucas managed to come back to his senses,recalling how he had gawked at her a tad bit of red appeared on his face because of embarrassment but it quickly vanished before Jennie could notice it,he cleared his throat "aanh I was.....I wanted...I mean I think we should visit grandpa this evening what do you say?" he asked,his voice was slightly hoarse but Jennie didn't notice his abnormality,"sure,after lunch I'll do grocery shopping,I want to buy him fresh fruits" she said,when the old man had gotten sick,she had gone to visit him but she didn't stay for long,this was going to be their third meeting she didn't want to visit him empty handed.

"It's okay,but can I join you?" he asked his eyes expectant,not thinking much about it she nodded her head "sure" she said and quickly Lucas excused himself,he quickly left like his ass was on fire,with a lot of difficulty he had managed to act normal Infront of her but only he knew he was about to burst,his heart was beating so hard like he was going to have an heart attack,he knew she was beautiful but with her baby bump slightly showing she was even more beautiful,looking at her baby bump he felt like his heart had been touched by a feather.She had even suggested buying groceries for his grandfather how could he not fall deeper for her,she was so considerate and caring perfect for a wife,Jennie wore a bluish dress reaching her thighs,it wasn't too short neither was it long,she waited for Lucas in the living room,hearing footsteps she loked upstairs and her breath was cought in her chest,Lucas wore a white t-shirt with a blue jeans and there were only two words to describe him extremely handsome, everything about him was perfect in her eyes if she was to compare his handsomeness then she would say Lucas was as handsome as an immortal,before Lucas could catch her stealing glances she quickly averted her gaze."Let's go" he said and both walked outside,"you're still injured, driving might worsen your condition,you should let the driver take us to the grocery store" Jennie voiced out her concern,but Lucas had entirely a different idea,he wanted to spend time with her all alone in a close space "I can manage don't worry" Jennie didnt argue she walked to the back seat and sat down suprising Lucas,he had expected Jennie to sit next to him,seeing his plan had backfired he hurriedly said "on second thought,I think you're right,I shouldn't strain myself less we get into an accident " he joked and quickly made a call.

The grocery store was packed everyone busy buying this and that,once they arrived at the entrance all eyes were on them,how could they not stand out when one wore a blue dress and the other a blue trouser,if one was asked how she thought of them then she will say "a husband accompanying his wife to do grocery shopping very romantic" she would answer confidently.Jennie did most of the work and wherever she tried to ask for his opinion he would stared stupidly at her,it was obvious he had never done grocery shopping he only become of help when she wanted to know about his grandfather's favourites,Lucas pushed the shopping cart while she did the shopping,while heading to the counter she couldn't help but recall the day she helped him shop for clothes,infact the clothes Lucas wore was one of them.When it was their turn,Lucas paid for the bill,the cashier was sneakingly stealing glances at him her face blushing,she thought no one noticed but Jennie was looking at her,for some reason she felt annoyed Lucas who was oblivious to what was happening around him carried the packages and both walked out,what they didn't notice was that a certain someone sat inside a car,expression grim a cold and murderous aura sorrounding them.
