Embarrassed (chapter 44)

Lucas stood near the bed opposite Jennie,she was still covered with the duvet only her head was showing,she didn't dare to turn her head to look at the person standing near the bed,her whole body was tensed her heart beating wildly,Lucas gently lied on the bed,he didn't know whether they should share the blanket or to pick his which was lying on the couch,after thinking for a while he decided not to, he gently covered himself with blanket as if afraid she might notice him.After an hour Lucas was still unable to sleep no matter how he tried he couldn't,he listened to Jennie's breathing pattern to know if she was asleep, Jennie's closed her eyes pretending to be asleep and after trying hard she finally drifted to sleep,after knowing she was asleep he turned facing her back thoughts unknown.He was about to close his eyes when he heard some movements on the bed Jennie turned to face him,he quickly closed his eyes thinking she wasn't asleep but after a few minutes he opened his eyes,he looked at the sleeping Jennie and his heart couldn't calm down,the lights were turned on meaning he could clearly see her face,she looks more beautiful when she is sleeping he thought, he looked at those long eye lashes and his eyes could help but look at her thin pink lips,his mind driffted to the gutter imagining all sorts of r18 stuff,he gulped hard feeling hot all over sudden,coming to his senses he shook his head to ward off those ideas.

The houskeeper was done preparing breakfast,she looked at the watch it was already past 8:00am and still they had not woken up,it was unlike them to still be in bed especially Jennie,she would wake up early because she felt hungry,she didn't know whether to wake them or let them be,after thinking for a while she decided to let them be they were husband and wife,who knew what they were doing.Jennie slowly opened her eyes with alot of difficulty,she felt the weight of someone's hand on her waist looking at the person who had his eyes closed,her eyes widened in shock,she felt like her heart was about to burst,a flush apperead on her face her heartbeat increasing,how did we end up cuddling she thought she couldn't recall how the situation got to that point,not wanting to wake him up and fearing the situation would get akward if they faced each other she gently took his hand that was holding her, quietly with minimal noise she stood up and headed to the bathroom,the person who was supposed to be asleep opened his eyes a smile on his face.Lucas had long been awake he too was suprised when he realised they were cuddling,he had tried to wake up but everytime she would murmur something and snuggle closer to him after few failed attempt he gave up and decided to wait until she woke up,her reaction was unexpected he had thought once she woke up she would question him or even accuse him of misconduct.

Lucas heard the door to the bathroom open and he quickly closed his eyes pretending to be asleep,thinking he was still a sleep Jennie walked closer to the bed and covered him with the blanket and left not knowing the gaze that was following her."Morning" Jennie greeted the housekeeper "morning did you sleep well?" she asked,she nodded her head a flush on her face,"I know you're hungry breakfast is ready" she said "thanks" Jennie replied and headed to the dining room she hoped he won't wake up soon so they don't face each other.After a few minutes Lucas walked in the dining,"morning" he greeted, Jennie tensed,how could she not face him when they stayed under the same roof "morning" she replied her heart beating wildly,none dared to ask if the other slept well,they didn't even know how to start a conversation,they ate their breakfast each deep in their own world,after they were done Jennie insisted on helping the housekeeper wash the utensils,she didn't want to be left alone with him,seeing him reminded of how they cuddled and everytime she would get embarrassed.Lucas was in his study room,he had guessed Jennie was trying to avoid him deciding to give her some space he busied himself in his study room,he was having a video call meeting with his friend,the mood was serious and professional ,"have you decided when we should visit him?" Daniel asked "for now I can't,am not allowed to work" he said,he didn't want his wife nagging him so he could stop working,his friend was surprised he knew how workholic he was and how he took his other business serious,"scared of your wife?" Daniel asked but Lucas didn't respond "is everything set?" he asked "yeah we're just waiting for your signal" "good once I'm back we will visit them,also don't forget to send me those video clips and also all the details about them I want to show them hell" he said with a chilling voice.
