After explaining to the girls on how he was planning on achieving that, Xiao Bai nodded so fast she made after images. It was a question that he didn't even need to ask... Heck he wouldn't even be surprised if she dislocated something from that. After gaining the 'OK' from the 'person' in question, Fang Lin didn't waste anymore time and bought the devil fruit.

"Quick warning though before I give you the devil fruit." said Fang Lin to gain the attention of Xiao Bai. "I hear its taste is extreeemely bad so just bear with it and eat everything... just in case." As a food junkie, Xiao Bai was now hesitating a little after hearing the not so pleasant taste review. Not that Fang Lin would ever let her refuse though, since he already bought the damn thing. It's not like anyone else other Xiao Bai can make use of this thing anyways.
After ultimately deciding to go through with it (heh... she thought she had a choice), Xiao Bai is now warily glaring at the 'fruit' that's almost the same size as her body, as if it would suddenly grow monstrous teeth and tentacles at anytime and devour her whole. She then grit her teeth, took the first bite and immediately froze with all of her fluffy white fur standing erect. It took all the will she could muster to not spit out this abomination called a 'fruit' and turned to look at Fang Lin with all of her resentment.
Seeing her expression, the corner of Fang Lin's mouth started twitching. What? Don't look at me like that. It's not like I was the one that decided on how that thing should taste ok...? With a firm decision, she decided it's best to eat everything as fast as possible and get it over with. Fang Lin and Ning Er standing to the side was watching one of the most surreal thing they've experienced. In front of them, a little kitten is eating a 'something' with the most miserable expression ever. Every bite drained the color of Xiao Bai's a bit more, as if each one is sapping away a piece of her soul.
Gulping down the last piece of the devil fruit, everyone waited in anticipation for something to happen. A few seconds later, Xiao Bai's form was suddenly engulfed in a bright light until she can't be seen anymore. (So this is what a P***mon evolution looked like in real life...) secretly thought Fang Lin. Soon, the light started pulsating from brighter to darker to brighter again as the outline started growing bigger. Eventually, a human form could be seen and the light started fading and a new form was revealed. And the answer is... it's a Loli-mon!
As this was happening, thunders rumbled and lightning flashes in the sky could be seen spreading across a vast area. It's as if the heaven itself is furious that someone is defying the natural order of things. The trio didn't notice this however, since they were inside the room of an inn. After not finding the target of its ire, the would be heaven's wrath could only harmlessly dissipate.
In front of Fang Lin, Xiao Bai was excitedly checking out her new form, touching and patting everywhere her tiny hands could reach. With flawless white skin, she stood at around 1.14m in height and looked between age 6 and 7. Reaching just past her shoulder is her long platinum white hair that seemed to sparkle in sunlight. Her soft pink lips, small nose, and golden pupils on her doe eyes made her look extremely cute. If one were to take a close look, there seems a very faint symbol of a blue lightning bolt on her temple, hidden behind her fringes.
The most noticeable things though were the long fluffy white tail wiggling behind her back, as if dancing in delight, and the two protrusions on top of her head. Fang Lin could say that without a doubt, this is a 'Nekomimi Loli'... that's not wearing any clothes. What happened? Wasn't it supposed to be a perfect human form? So why were there animal parts still? Before Fang Lin could investigate further however, Fang Lin felt a hand firmly squeezing on his shoulder.
All the hair on Fang Lin is standing up at this moment as he suddenly felt intense danger radiating off something behind him. Hesitantly looking back, Fang Lin wished he hadn't. Looking back at him was Ning Er's sweet smiling face, that promised untol pain and suffering. And is that a silhouette of Ashura behind her back...? W-Wait..! But I didn't do anything...!?

Some moments later... all Fang Lin had to say was, 'thank god for Phenex blood'. As for what happened earlier, that shall not be mentioned, ever again. As for the reason why Xiao Bai had animal parts, it's because she liked having them. If need be however, she could easily make them disappear and be full human, or even reverting back to her kitten form. It's basically a pretty limited 'Shape Shifting' ability.
Sitting on the edge of the bed swinging her legs back and forth is Xiao Bai whom is humming a tune happily as Ning Er is arranging her hair. Courtesy of (read forcefully) Fang Lin who was sent outside get clothings for Xiao Bai, she is now wearing a sleeveless white and blue one piece dress, beach sandals, and some ribbons tying her hair. Looking from the sideline, Fang Lin sighed in heart. What picturesque scene but all good things must come to an end eventually. There are some matters that just couldn't be left unattended.
"Girls, get ready to head out to the 'Thousand Beast Forest'. I need to learn the use of my abilities while Xiao Bai needs to get used to combat in her current form." At that, both girls nodded seriously and started heading out for another long training session.
