Coming of the Apocalypse Queen

In the year 2XXX, a blue meteor from outer space landed on Earth and signaled the dawn of the apocalypse. More than 60% of the population was wiped out by a mysterious disease. Plants and animals turned into mutants. People gained powers and abilities. The world and the government collapsed and turned into a world where only the strong is respected while the weak are doomed to die. Lilian Mo didn't have a good life during the apocalypse. She was reduced to being a possession of her fiancé and became his glorified bed warmer. He kept her locked up in his villa and rarely allowed her to go out, keeping her around as his pet that he took care of. Though it was considered a luxury to be able to eat three times a day and drink clean water in the apocalypse when all the water sources are contaminated, Lilian Mo sneered at this kind of life and escaped her confinement meeting people along the way and gaining an ability on her own. She found 'friends' during her journey and fought alongside them through life and death, only to be betrayed by them. Lilian Mo died tragically when she was pushed to a group of mutant animals by her so-called 'friend' whom she treated as a sister. When it seemed like everything was going to end for her, she opened her eyes and went back to her sixteen-year-old body, two months before the apocalypse. "The heavens have not forsaken me." Lilian Mo swore to grow stronger and take revenge on those that betrayed her trust. Lucky for her, she was reborn with the knowledge of the future and given her own special dimension. Her golden cheats allowed her to sail through the apocalypse without worrying about food or water. After waking up two months before the apocalypse, Lilian Mo decided to set her eyes on the people that wronged her. ▪▪▪ A story about a girl's journey to becoming stronger while trying to survive in the apocalyptic world and facing the man of her past. ▪▪▪ Reminding my readers that this book's rating is [No One 17 And Under Allowed] which means it contains mature content not suitable for young readers. Read at your own discretion. This also includes gore, violence, abuse, and explicit content because the setting is an apocalyptic world. The MC is a heartless person who kills without hesitation but has a soft spot for the people she cares about. If this bothers you, feel free to drop the book. There are no major misunderstandings between the characters. Face slapping is reduced to a minimum and there are no exaggerated or draggy arguments. I only write happy endings ;) This is pure fiction. Don't expect it to be realistic. My third language is English--hoping that the Grammar Nazis would be gentle with me Cover photo not mine. I only edited it.

It's A Ghost

"Boss Ren isn't here." Fu Yangzhu said before closing the room. The three of them have been roaming the floors above the fourth floor. They were almost at the rooftop and there was still no sign of their Boss.

"Do you think Boss Ren went out?" Mizuki Rei asked.

"No way. Boss Ren wouldn't leave without saying anything." Fu Yangzhu said.

Mu Qianmo sighed. "Actually, I found a change of clothes in Boss Ren's room as well as a bowl of untouched strawberries when I went to look for him."

Mizuki Rei and Fu Yangzhu turned to him, feeling alerted by his words.

"Hey, Brother Qian, don't tell me that ... Lilian Mo really did went to look for Boss Ren when she left..." Mizuki Rei wasn't sure of his suspicions but it was Lilian Mo who carries all the food using her space.

"If that's the case, then where is the Boss now?"

Mu Qianmo answered Fu Yangzhu's inquiry. "I also went out to look for Boss Ren but I met Little sister Mo in the hall so I decided to speak to her first. After that, we separated so I'm not sure what happened just yet."

Mizuki Rei tapped his chin. He leaned closer to the two and whispered in a small tone.

"Do you think... that maybe.. the Boss is inside Lilian Mo's space?"

The two were startled by Mizuki Rei's words.

"I didn't know that sister-in-law can enter the space or that other people can enter it. Little Rei, are you joking with me?"

"No, no. It's just a guess." Mizuki Rei replied. "Anyway, it's too good to be true." He also doesn't understand why he suddenly arrived at that conclusion. Perhaps Lilian Mo's space was just mysterious and coupled with the change in the air around her lately, Mizuki Rei was a little suspicious.

Fu Yangzhu sighed. "It doesn't seem possible at all. If that was the case, then sister-in-law would have made us enter her space to avoid the beast tide instead of running away."

"Yangzhu has a point, Little Rei." Mu Qianmo supported. "Besides, even if it's true that her space can enter people in it, she would never tell anyone. It would be dangerous for her. Little sister Mo doesn't seem fond of Boss Ren. The last thing she would do is to allow him entry to her space."

"Oh my goodness, Brother Qian. Is that true? SIster-in-law doesn't like the Boss?"

Mizuki Rei looked at Fu Yangzhu with disapproval. " Fu Yangzhu, are you being serious? That's the only thing you heard?"

"Hey, aren't you curious? Sister-in-law doesn't like the Boss! This is quite important. Aren't they engaged?"

Mizuki Rei gave up. This guy was only interested in things related to the Boss. There was no use arguing with him. Fu Yangzhu was really much worse than a girl when it came to gossip.

"We should resume looking. Boss Ren might have found out that the army is here. It's also best that we go find the others as soon as possible. We are at a disadvantage here." Mu Qianmo suggested. The three of them agreed with that and searched some more rooms before finally arriving at the rooftop.

"Boss Ren is nowhere to be found at all!" Fu Yangzhu blurted. Then he noticed something and hurriedly approached it.

"Hey, look what I found. Isn't this a solar generator? If I have known, then we wouldn't be suffering in the dark! Brother Qian, this is your forte!" Fu Yangzhu was very excited but as soon as he said that, he felt a chill behind his back.

He ducked, just in time to avoid the swing to his head before rolling to the side. However, he was not fast enough because a knife nailed the sleeves of his clothes to the floor.

He tensed up as he fell down.

"Yangzhu!" Mu Qianmo shouted. Quickly, he melted the knife from Fu Yangzhu's clothes using his metal ability but their enemy was upon them, charging towards them like a bull. Mizuki Rei intercepted it and made a wall of wind, preventing their enemy to close in.

Mizuki Rei could feel his heart beating. Although he didn't see anyone, he could see the shadow of the person under the moonlight when they leaped away.

He looked down.

It was a shadow of a woman.

It was thankfully not a ghost which made him feel relieved but this was new. Fighting an invisible enemy. Was it a half-mutant? No, maybe it was someone from the army.

"Huh. It's a bunch of teenagers." The feminine voice drifted into their ears. The mature yet dangerous voice of a woman made them flinched.

Fu Yangzhu stood up. "Is there really a ghost here?" He looked around, trying to pinpoint their enemy.

Mu Qianmo placed his hands on Fu Yangzhu's head and directed the latter's gaze to the floor where the shadow was showing.

Fu Yangzhu nearly jumped in fright.

"It's a ghost!"

Mizuki Rei really wanted to slap this guy on the head. "It's an ability, you idiot!"
