Look At This Patriot

Nathalie Yang was very bored. The lieutenant said that their task was to guard the team responsible for dismantling and handling the solar generator. So when she heard that the hotel was occupied, she was immediately on alert.

She was expecting to see a group of thugs and maybe have a fight or two but unfortunately for her, she was met with a group of teenagers who were still wet behind the ears.

"It's an ability, you idiot!"

Nathalie Yang could tell that this guy was a mixed-race of Chinese and Japanese. This kind of thing was usually hard to tell but with her experience, she could differentiate especially since the last guy she killed was Japanese.

Perhaps it was simply because she was used to being a soldier and fighting for the country so she also adapted a bit of the complicated mentality that Chinese people were better than Japanese people.

It wasn't really the guy's fault for having mixed origins but Nathalie Yang was still feeling annoyed while seeing that face.

Blame it on the guy's parents for copulating and creating this hybrid.

Some people would call her crazy for thinking this way but Nathalie Yang was never normal.

At five, a group of kids called her a tomboy because she only have male friends and she looked very much alike with her twin brother that it was hard to tell that she was a girl if not for her long hair.

Nathalie Yang did what every normal kid would do when faced with bullying.

She beat them all up and ruined their faces until they cried 'Mommy.'

When she was ten, she studied martial arts and was taught how to hold a gun. She won a national competition, earned a few medals and trophies while still being called a tomboy.

She still beat those people up and taught them a lesson.

At fifteen, she taught of enlisting in the army but was stopped by her parents.

Of course, she ran away and waited until she was at the right age before joining the military at eighteen.

Nathan Yang chased after her only to lecture her and try to convince her to go home.

Keyword, 'try'. Of course, Nathalie Yang gave his twin a punch in the face as a reward while Zhou Yang, her younger brother cried and got angry. Her parents almost spat blood from anger but they couldn't really control her.

In the end, she got what she happened. She learned how to kick ass, hold a gun and beat people's faces 'professionally' while also earning some merits on the way.

The army wasn't exactly the best environment a woman could go and she even encountered a few sexist pigs in the way.

She knocked a few of their teeth in response to the taunting.

She also ended up having to suffer some 'disciplinary actions' from her superior. That didn't stop her though since Nathalie Yang still loves to fight people.

Just like now, she found a few easy targets. These teenagers really looked like a bunch of wusses but the fact that one managed to evade her while she was invisible proved that appearances can be deceiving.

"Looks like I'll have to work harder than usual." Nathalie Yang smiled. The three guys couldn't see her appearance, only her shadow. That was the faulty thing about her ability. Her ability wasn't really invisibility but instead, it would be more accurate to call it 'camouflage' and it takes a lot of mental power to activate it.

The good news is, a soldier like her has a lot of stamina and endurance, and her will was never weak.

The invisible one would be her twin brother. That guy really earned the jackpot but Nathalie Yang wasn't really that bothered. Regardless of whether her ability was useful or not, she could still put people in their proper places.

"Brother Qian, what should we do?" Fu Yangzhu asked, without moving his gaze on the shadow.

Mu Qianmo was observing the shadow. It was definitely a woman and someone carrying a gun as well. From the silhouette, they might even carry a knife since there was a holster on the thigh area. The silhouette displayed a person's womanly curves so he couldn't be wrong with the gender especially since the other party's hair was a bit short which only reached just a few inches below the chin area.

"Who are you?" Mu Qianmo asked, opting to try and reason first in case they could overcome this without any fighting. He was not optimistic since he guessed that this woman must be from the army.

Nathalie Yang chuckled. "Hah. Who am I? Does that really matter?"

Fu Yangzhu tensed up. "So it really isn't a ghost!"

Mizuki Rei stared at Fu Yangzhu with disbelief. "You are still hung up with that? We aren't even sure if this woman is an enemy or not. The army as well. They can't be trusted."

Nathalie Yang whistled. "Hah. Look at this patriot. You must really love your country, huh?"

Mizuki Rei narrowed his eyes.

"Ah, that was rude. I forgot to ask which country!"

"Who are you? What do you want?" Mu Qianmo asked again, placing a hand on Mizuki Rei's shoulder, in case that the latter was goaded into attacking.
