19 chapter 19

He knew that he had to get the key from the evil woman if he was to escape this never ending

torment. He puts his arms behind his back and felt a loose two by four. He grabbed it and ripped it from

the wall.

He smashes down at the woman's head repeatable as hard as his arms could allow him.

#

Minutes goes by and Pete has smashed her head into oblivion. He finally stops and throws

the bloodied two by four to the other side of the room.

Pete unties the waist band from around the dead woman's body and grabs the key ring. He runs to the old wooden door and desperately tries to find the key to the door.

He finally finds the correct key and escape out of the attic and down a set of stairs unto the second floor of the orphanage. The second floor was for the children's rooms and it had short series of rails that the children could looked down at the staff (on the first floor) as they were given instructions by the staff.

He turns the corner and he screams out in utter terror.

It was the woman that he had just killed!

Pete yells,"I just kill you! How could you be walking before me? That is impossible!"

The woman screams," That was my twin sister that you had just killed! I will get my revenge!"

Pete yells," Oh crap! There are two of you! One is more than enough!"

The woman charged at Pete, as the boy back up into a wall.

Right before the woman could catch him, he rolled out of the way next to the old rickety railing.

The woman hits head first into a huge pair of light bulbs. She was electrocuted by the light

socket as she was cut by the glass. The woman turns around and Pete's mouth was agape.

She had broken grass shards in her eye sockets.

The woman walked backwards and fell over the rails head first.

She screams as she falls face first into the hard concrete ground. She breaks her neck instantly and yields to death's call.

Pete was walking in the large junk heap of what was once called a playground a long time ago. He had no rhyme or reason to where he went that day. The lad walked around to keep his mind off the incidents that had gone wrong in the past.

Pete is walking around and sees a circle of kids screaming," Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Pete was curious to what was going on, so he wanted to see whom was fighting whom this day.

Pete forced his way through the crowd and he was shocked by what he saw.

It was a fat boy being kicked on the ground by five boys. Pete had never even seen this boy before, yet alone had a reason to beat him up.

Pete smacks one of the kids next to him.

Pete says,"Why are they beating up the new boy?"

The boy laughs and says,"Just because he would not get mad for being called names. They could not get a rise out of him!"

Pete asks,"That is it?"

The boy says,"Yeah!"

Pete gets mad and runs away from the beating. The lad looks to and fro for something in the yard. He was desperately in search for something.

Something catches Pete's eye and it was a long metal pipe.

The lad grabs the pipe and rushes back to spot where the fat boy was getting beaten up

by the five attackers.

One of the boys watching the fight sees Pete with the long metal pipe over his shoulder and

takes off like rats.

Soon the rest of the kids watching the fight ran away as well.

The five kids are still beating on the defenseless boy like they were just playing with their toys. It was nothing to beat someone else for little or no reason.

Pete swings back as he prepares to knock out the tallest of the attacking boys. The four other boys saw him preparing to knock out their cohort, so they left him high and dry as they ran swiftly for their own lives.

He knocks out the remaining attacker and he falls on top of the victimized boy.

Bob was laying bloodied on the ground with the large attacker of his lying uncomfortably on top of his midsection and his left arm. The beaten boy turns his neck to the side and sees a tall boy with a long metal pipe in his hands.

It scares Bob, so he blocks with his free hand that was not pined under by his attacker.

The tall boy had started to walk away when Bob yells out," Stop! Do not hurt me!"

The victim was pulled up out from underneath the large boy, and he sees that the

tall boy has dropped his weapon down to the ground.

Bob was helped up to his feet by the tall boy. He dusts himself off and stretches his muscles a little bit.

Bob speaks,"Thank you for saving me! Can I least have your name? I would like to know who my rescuer was."

The lad stops in his tracks and turns back around facing the beaten Bob.

The tall boy smiles," I am Pete and it so no biggie! I beat those boys about two or three times a month! It is nothing new!"

The tall boy starts to turn around when he stops as if he had just remember something.

Pete asks,"What is your name?"

Bob walks over to his savior and shakes his hand.

He says,"I am Bob and you have got a friend for life!"

Pete smiles,"No problem, oh buddy, oh pal!"

The taller boy returns the handshake.

In the middle of nowhere, there was an old decrepitude old farmhouse with several large fields of crops laying next to it. It would seem that it the crops were being worked by several teams. Yet, only one couple was responsible for the entire crops. The house was so broken down that one would have easily believe that it was held together by one's imagination. Surprisingly, a whole family of five lived there in this humble dwelling.

It was a married couple with three children, consisting of two boys and one girl. The two boys were both named Billy and the only girl was called Susie. All three children had birth defects when they were born, but that did not matter since the couple loved their children anyway. The oldest boy had four legs, younger boy had three legs, and the girl had only one leg. All the children's legs were fully functional and the boys legs were all in row from left to right.

The parents were named John and Betty and they were always sickly but they worked long hours almost everyday anyway. They made the sacrifice so that their children would not go without.

They had nothing that the would be accepted as elite in nature, but they had love for each other anyway.

The children never knew that they were poor or even if they did they would not care even if they would have known anyway. It was somehow one big happy family and they did not complain that they were living in sheer squalor. They made the conscious decision to focus on what they had, not what they did not have.

All Farmers that were working for Urano contracts, were being poisoned by the Urano's constant reliance on pesticides. The faction did not care what happened to their citizens. Urano government leaders did not want to lose any crops due to pests or other kinds of crop failure. They

could care less about all the people that died in the process of fueling the elite the Urano war effort.

Leadership believe that the end justified the means no matter who it hurt. That included

John and Betty and their children.

The couple knew that they were both sick due to all the chemicals that they were exposed to while farming, But they were forced to work with it anyway or face having their children taken away.

That fact alone tore up the couple inside but they never showed their sadness to their three children. They felt that it was their burden alone to bear.

All three children were born with birth defects were caused by the Urano government's evil ways. John and Betty raised the three children in the best way that they could to make their children feel loved.

The couple did not want the Billies and Susie to be burdened by physical abnormalities, instead see themselves as fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

John and Betty had to make their children stay with them in the fields due to them not being able to find any school within over one hundred miles in any direction. Plus, there was no one that they could trust to watch their children safely.

It tore up John and Betty inside that their children had to work with them in the poisonous fields that had them deathly ill for weeks at a time. The couple prayed that their children would never grow ill

being in the pesticide ridden fields with them. Billy and his other siblings wanted to be with their parents no matter what John and Betty said otherwise.

They prayed everyday that the three children would have a better life they did. John and Betty knew that they would probably never die due to old age but they would live to the fullest.

John was sitting at his old wooden kitchen table with his three children: the older Billy, the younger Billy and the lone girl sister, Susie. John was teaching his children to read with his old Dick and Jane books that he used to learn to read when he was just a young boy.

The older Billy spoke," Dick shot the dog."

John spoke," Good job, Bill! Let Little Billy try!"

Little Billy spoke,"Jane shot Dick."

John spoke,"Billy that was a good try, now Susie, you can try."

Susie spoke," The dog shot Jane."

John spoke,"No one shot anyone, honey. It was Dick and Jane both pet the dog."

The kids groaned,"Oh! I get it now!"

John had to bite his lip so hard that he almost made his mouth bleed so that he would not laugh at his children's struggle to read.

Betty was cooking behind the kitchen table on a wood stove that was brand new over a century ago. It took forever for Betty to cook anything on that old stove. Betty was cooking a pot of chili when she could not help but make a chuckle at the kid's reading exercise.

Betty acted like she was sneezing from the chili spices so that she would not her children's feelings.

The children all asked,"Mommy are you okay?"

Betty spoke,"Mommy is okay! The spices just made me cough. Continue your lessons for today, babies."
