"Rey! You bastard! Surrender now! Britannia could still forgive you for being a spy!" Char said furiously as a distraction because he knows that Rey is not someone who would be easily persuaded.

If Rey was easily persuaded then he would not have challenged Char in anything for many times after being defeated by a few times.

He is as stubborn as a mule!

Hearing Fraye's scream managed to lit up the flames of battle intent in Rey's eyes as he very shounenly responded to Char.

"You won't be able to defeat me this time Char!" He shouted with conviction and determination as he remembered that he is still the number two in the rankings at their school in terms of knightmare frame battle.

He remembered the last battle they had to finalize the rankings which Char won, it made him grit his teeth in frustration.

Even though he got the unit 01 of the three Tristan proto types, it does not mean that he is the number one!

"You really can't learn! You can't defeat me! At most, we will have a draw!

You cannot escape! No matter what!" Char shouted with confidence as he already expected this two outcomes specially when his opponent is Rey.

This is also the reason why he was confident on taking down Rey this time as he had the support of the nearby airbase's fighter planes and they are about to come, he only needs to stall Rey for enough time.

The two of them continued doing some collisions and evasions in the sky as they neared the coastal waters.

"Fraye, can you hold on more securely? I am going to have a serious battle with Char.

Fraye just blushed a little when she heard that but still continued to concentrate on tying up the details on her work while also bracing herself for the bumpy ride.

The two knightmare frames are on their course for collision again but Rey suddenly moved on higher altitude as they got closer to each other before transforming into his humanoid form in a very sudden way.

The smooth transformation which only happened in a second had shocked Char very much and that made it so that he was not able to react fast enough.

He got hit! But he still manage to not get hit seriously due to his instinctive response!

He got used to Rey's sudden creative moves that he does on the fly when they fight.

That's right, Rey always goes creative when they fight while Char always goes technical and strategical when they fight.

But After fighting with Rey for many times, Char had manage to have some sort of adaptability to unpredictable opponents.

This made him improve more than he expected from the beginning and this is why he does not refuse Rey when he challenges him into battle.

He does not show it but he also get's excited and passionate he fights with Rey.

He does not admit it but he acknowledges Reynald as a sort of rival to him too like how everyone saw their relationship was, of course there are exceptions, best example is those girls who likes reading those questionable doujinshi which he had heard some rumours of and had some very limited encounters of.

Just remembering those things make Char have some really terrible ominous feeling that makes him shiver very visibly.

AA fucking set the default parameters of the machine into peasant, standard, elite and Ace with clear division, having peasant as the lowest configuration and Ace as the highest.
