Ch.33 False hope

On a certain part of the forest, there were ominous clouds hanging in the skies. The sound of thunder rang in the protector's ears. His heart was pounding and his mind was in such a state of alert, that he was barely able to think. "Don't try to escape alone. Just don't." He yelled to the young miss who was as pale as a paper.

If she ran away, it would be harder to protect her from the cloud's attack. It was safer when she was behind him. The protector looked at the cloud, which was ready to attack again.

Moon fired spears cracking with lighting and just as it was about to poke into the woman's head. A sword came and deflected the spear. The old man stood before her. When he saw the guards finally coming back to their senses, he commanded the guards to take her away. He will hold the cloud as long as he could.

Another three lighting spears came flying, this time even faster than before. The protector took another sword into his other hand. With both hands, he was blocking the spears. Moon looked at the man who was desperately protecting the woman's life. " Why are you going so far for a woman that knows the preciousness of a life"

The protector was surprised, not that the cloud speak but the fact he did when they were in battle. The protector looked at the cloud and said " I was given a job, I am merely doing it. If said that it would be a lie. This mission was given to me by not only a young master but by her father whom I owe my life."

The protector looked at the young miss who was already far away. A smile came to his face" Finally I can fight to my heart's content. The man smiled at the sight of his slashing. Even though he didn't meet any resistance when he cut the cloud. His eyes were showing him the result or so it should have been but the cloud put its body together without any effort.

"I forgot to tell you, physical attacks don't work on me. After am a cloud, ever seen one getting injured?" Moon looked at the man like he was an idiot for even trying to cut him.

The man definitely cloaked the swords with mana. He couldn't believe his eyes but after calming down. He smiled, even though he couldn't give damage the cloud. The cloud couldn't do anything to him too. He could dodge or block the cloud's attacks.

Moon could easily see through what the man was thinking. It seemed he had a little twisted personality too as he gave the "Deadman" hope. Moon summoned slowly swords.

The more swords were shining in the air the more the protector's face was getting paler. When the number got to 100, the protector immediately flew away from the terrifying cloud. The sword's speed couldn't be underestimated as it caught the protector within two seconds.

One after another, they started piercing his flesh but none of them was hitting his vital points. The cloud was playing with him. He couldn't believe it. Just a moment ago, he thought he was even with the cloud.

Now surrounded by hundred swords from every direction, sparkling with thunder and ready to attack at any given second. The man yelled towards the direction of the cloud

" If you kill me, many times stronger than me monsters will be sent here. I know you understand me, hopefully, you are smart enough to comprehend the meaning too"

Mook looked at the man, not patting one eye" So? even if they were 10 times stronger than you? Nothing would change" After hearing this, the man started to panic.

His eyes were hazing around for any survival path. Finally, coming down with his last plan" Didn't you want the young miss? She has already escaped while you were dealing with me. If you let me live I can lead you to her"

Moon wasn't going to listen and was ready to send the guy to the afterlife. Fortunately for the protector, Raiz came close to Moon and whispered something to his ears. Afterwards, Moon looked at the man and said indifferently.

The man's heart tighten up when his plan was easily revealed. When he said he would guide him to the miss, it wasn't because he betrayed the family. The protector dived into his memories, where his family and loved ones were. He was most sad leaving his wife and children behind in this cruel world.

Raiz looked at the old man that was ready to die. His strength was at least 5th in my realm. If Raiz fought him now, he wouldn't have had a chance at all. He was barely in the Myr realm while the other one was already halfway through.

" Oi Old man. I would leave the forest as soon as possible. Our fight has already drawn a few monsters and they are heading this way. Even with your strength, the monsters in the middle will feast on you"

Without waiting anymore, Moon and Raiz flew away. The man didn't hesitate either as he ran away.

" When the woman escaped with her guard. Amilios followed them and was still following. We will know in a few days at most where this noble family home is. We can attack them at any given time afterwards but" Raiz stopped while looking at the Moon.

" But we are overall weaker than them at our current strength, just looking at that protector. That won't be the case in a few weeks" Moon declared.
