Five months ago incident

"Hello!! Who is this?"

"Uncle Matteo!!! Is that you?"

"Are you at home now ?"

" Then, I will come home right after taking the permission from my home room teacher."

After talking with the person who is in the other end of the phone call, Zenaida hung up her phone. She stood up while taking the polythene bags which was on her desk with one of her hands.

Then, she said to Ava " Ava, I need to leave school now. I will go and try to get permission from our home room teacher to leave the school early. Since Roy is at the teachers' office, I could also pass this to him too."

Ava asked Zenaida " Do you have to rush home like this because he appeared out of nowhere?"

Zenaida said to Ava without looking directly at her " Ava, he is the only family member who I have. "

" But does he truly consider you as his family too? I don't think so." Ava asked Zenaida again.

"If he doesn't, why would he accept to look after me without sending me to an orphanage. Wouldn't it be so easy for him in that way?" This time Zenaida talked to Ava in a little bit raised voice.

Ava stared at Zenaida while pursing her lips tightly while implying that Zenaida has offended her by raising her voice at her.

Zenaida felt guilty in her heart and she immediately said to Ava "Ava, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have talk to you in that tone."

Then, Zenaida continued to say " Don't ever bring this matter with me. Okay? You know that I'm very sensitive about this matter than any other matters. I know that you care about me but don't ever try to discuss this topic with me again in the future."

After saying that, Zenaida left for the teachers' room and Ava told her that she would come there later after packing Zenaida's stuffs in to her bag.

Roy who was waiting for Carl outside of the teachers' room, noticed Zenaida from a distance and waved at her with a huge smile on his face.

Zenaida also smiled at him and waved him back.

When Zenaida reached him, he asked her " What are you doing here? Did our home room teacher ask you to come and meet her too? "

"Meet her too? Who else mr. Harry asked to meet with?" Zenaida asked him.

" It is Carl. I'm waiting for him to come out." Roy casually said to her.

Upon hearing the Carl's existence in the teachers' room, Zenaida who wanted to meet the home room teacher as soon as possible hesitated to enter there.

Roy who was standing beside her, noticed the hesitation in Zenaida and said to her "He will come out soon. "

Zenaida nodded her head at Roy and she looked at the two polythene bags in her hands.

Then, she passed one of them to Roy while saying " This is for you and thank you for telling me those things at the cafeteria. "

Roy took the bag and looked inside of it. Then, he asked her " Did you buy these specially for me as a thank you gift?"

Zenaida nodded her head while smiling at him.

Then, she passed the other bag to him while saying " This is for Carl. Can you pass this to him too? He didn't eat anything for lunch because of me and I would feel bad, if he was to starve for the next few hours. " Zenaida said to him.

" If he is not willing to eat what I gave for him, just ask him to buy and eat something else instead of starving himself. " Zenaida continued to talk with a concern filled voice.

Roy stared at Zenaida with a very deep gaze.

Roy never thought that Zenaida is a this kind of caring and lovely person at first. He thought that she is a person who only cares about her studies.

But after that incident which happened back then at the third year of the high school, his view on Zenaida completely changed. Also, Carl and him started to talk with Zenaida for the first time after that incident too.

That incident happened about five months ago. There was a boy who was newly transferred to their school at that time and it was his fourth day at school too.

Since the first day which he transferred to Bright star high school, he started to pick on kids at his same age and even younger kids than him. He snatched their money by force and if someone went against him, he beated them in to a pulp.
