68 Reward

"Taehyung kept the truth about his intentions from me because..... because he was in love with me..."

"Huh? T-Tae..." Jin swallows the lump of saliva that had suddenly formed in the back of his throat.

"T-Tae is in l-love with you?" Jin whispers silently. Shocked at what he just heard when his thoughts suddenly drift off to his conversation with Sunni when he last saw her.

-'He doesn't love me Oppa. He's in love with someone else...'

Then his thoughts wander off the night when Taehyung slept over.

'I should be thanking you Taetae. If it wasn't for you, I don't think I would have met Minji. Besides, you were the one who hired her to care for me didn't you?'

'Oh, uhhh.... y-yeah, I did.'

'I love her so much Tae. I can't put my feelings into words to describe what she does to me. I thought I loved Sunni, but what Minji does to me doesn't even compare. I just know she's the one.'

'I'm glad you found the right girl for you Hyung. I have no objection if it's Minji.'

'I really hope I can see soon. I want to make up for all the times that I've made Minji care for me. I will cook for her and I will take her on lots of dates. I will never let her cry or be hurt. I will love her properly once I get my sight back.'

'You'll be able to see soon Hyung... and to answer the last of your question Hyung, as of this very moment, I'm not in love with anyone.'

Were there more hidden lies that he didn't know about? Taehyung clearly said he wasn't in love with anyone, but Jisoo and Sunni are both confirming his gut feelings. Taehyung was in love with Jisoo. His baby brother who he would give up anything in the entire world for was in love with the same girl. His breaths suddenly shaky and he felt as if the wind had been knocked out of his lungs.

"I... I have to go..." Jin says as he abruptly gets up.

"Jin!" Jisoo follows while covering her naked body with the silk sheet. She rushes after Jin who was getting dressed. She caught his hand to stop him from leaving the room.

"Oppa, Taehyung confessed to me but he knows that I love you," Jisoo's grip tightens as the tears fall effortlessly down her face.

"I love you not him. Please, don't... don't leave me," Jisoo cries out as she begs him. Ironic how earlier in the day, Jin was the one who desperately pleads her not to leave him.

Jin immediately pulls the crying girl into his arms and hugs her tight. He never meant to make her cry or feel like he gave up on her. Jisoo was his girlfriend, his future wife. And wasn't about to let her go, not even for Taehyung. But he still needed answers. He needed to talk to Taehyung. He wanted it to be known that Jisoo belongs to him.

"I'm sorry my love. I will never leave you. I just needed to see Tae for a moment. I have something to talk to him about," Jin replies while Jisoo clings onto him for dear life. She weeps, bawls, wailed at the top of her lungs not caring how ugly her howling cries sound like at the moment.

When Jisoo had finally calmed down from her mini heart attack, Jin gently led her back to bed. He tucks her naked body back in before leaning towards her and kisses her forehead.

"I'll be right back okay?" He whispers, his lips still brushing against her forehead while rubbing her bare arm to comfort her.

Still sniffling a little bit, Jisoo nods. Jin pulls away and smiles down at the girl before standing up. He walks over to his chair that had a plushie on it. He grabs it and brought it over to the girl.

"Here, RJ will help you fall asleep. I'll only allow you to hold him until I get back. I want to be the one you hold onto for the rest of our lives. Not gonna sharing you with anyone because you are mine."

Jisoo smiles tiredly up at the man who was holding a cute white alpaca plushie. Its head looked like it was a fluffy cloud. She took the plushie and snuggles it close.

"Hurry back Oppa. I love you..." Jisoo spoke softly, her sleep slowly consuming her.

"I love you too, Min Jisoo."

Once the tiny girl was cutely snoring away, Jin grabs his phone and silently tiptoed out of the room. He looked at his phone and it was currently three in the morning. He sighs, not even noticing that it was already so late. He calls Taehyung, but he doesn't pick up.

Jin grabs his keys before he left the house and went to find Taehyung. When Jin arrived at his old home, he calls Taehyung once more. This time though, he picks up on Jin.

"Hyung, why are you calling so early?" Taehyung's deep but raspy voice croaks at the other end of the line.

"Tae, where are you right now? Are you at home?"

"Where else would I be at three in the morning?" Taehyung tiredly whines to Jin.

"I'm outside. I need to talk to you so come out to the car."

"Hyuuuung... Can't it wait until tomorrow?" Taehyung whined like a little kid.

"No, this can't wait. We need to talk now so I can get back to Jisoo faster. Hurry and get your butt out here!"

Taehyung suddenly recalls the morning when he and Haeun had set the two up to meet.

"Oh right, Hyung how did it go with Hyungsu-nim?" Taehyung asks suddenly not as tired anymore. He was one step closer to getting his reward from Haeun so it woke him up completely.

"Come out if you want to know."

Jin hung up and sat in the car waiting for Taehyung. Soon the front door opens and a bubbly and overly happy Taehyung was skipping to Jin's car. The moment he enters the car he drops his bomb of questions at Jin.

"So, did she find out that you can see? Are you two okay now? Are you dating again?"

"Tae..." Jin spoke, looking straight ahead. His voice was serious and calm. Taehyung narrows his eyes at his Hyung's tone.

"Hyung, everything's okay, right?"

Jin turns to face Taehyung. He met eyes with his little brother before finally asking the question that he came to find out tonight. His stare was hard and determined to fight for Jisoo if he had to.

"Taehyung, are you in love with Min Jisoo?"

Taehyung's eyes grew two times in size as he stares back at his Hyung.

"H-Hyung..."

"Answer me Tae. Do you love her?"

"Hyung I can explain," He let out a deep sigh before speaking.

"I.... I did love her, but not anymore..." Taehyung spoke honestly. Jin watches his little brother to see if he could see any signs of hesitation, but there seems to be none.

"Not anymore?" Jin asks cautiously.

"Yeah. She caught my eyes when I first met her at work and before I knew it, I had fallen in love with her. But by then, Jisoo was already in love with you."

"Taehyung..."

"Hyung, I loved her, but she was the reason why I wanted to break you and Sunni up even more. She loves you and I was determined to make her my Hyungsu-nim," Taehyung smiles sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck.

"It was hard, pretending to love someone when I don't. And to watch the girl that I loved, love someone else. But it wasn't just anyone else, it was you Hyung. So I did whatever I could to make you two fall in love. And when you two did, there was the whole Jisoo being Minji that just complicated things a little more. I lied to Jisoo to hide my feelings away from her and for her to stay by your side..."

Taehyung turns to meet a pair of soft eyes from his Hyung who was waiting for him to continue. He smiles gently before speaking the most important moments in his journey of loving Jisoo.

"Hyung, when I confessed my feelings to Jisoo, it was so that I wouldn't have any regret in the future. I wasn't looking to start anything with her. I was able to finally let Jisoo go when I saw the way you happily spoke about how much you love her. That night when I told you I didn't love anyone, it was the truth because I had set Jisoo free from my heart..."

Jin remembers his words again from that night and a tiny smile grew on his lips. He was thankful that he didn't have to stand his ground with Taehyung.

"...besides I think someone else has crept into my heart," Taehyung silently mutters to himself, thinking about Haeun, but Jin heard him.

"Wait what? You like someone else?"

Taehyung nods while grinning and giggling to himself. Jin stares at the grown man who was giggling away next to him. He finally lets out a big sigh of relief.

"That's great to hear Taehyung. I thought we were going to have to fight on this one. If you would have said you still love Jisoo, I would have gone full Hyung mode on you and made you give Jisoo up. So, who is this girl who crept into your heart now? Do I know her?"

"Uh-huh. You know her Hyung. She was your nurse."

Jin's face lost all color at Taehyung's reply.

"M-my nurse? Y-you don't mean Minj-?"

"Park Haeun. Hyung, I think I'm falling in love with her," Taehyung gleefully interrupt Jin with the largest grin on his face.

"Oh! Park Haeun. She looks like a great girl. Haha~" Jin awkwardly laughs, letting it trail off and peace washes over his body. Taehyung smiles to no one in particular and just nods his head silently, agreeing with his Hyung.

"She is a great girl..."

Taehyung suddenly thought of the reward that Haeun was going to give him.

"But she's being a bad girl for now. She's purposely making me suffer," Taehyung crosses his arms across his chest as he hmphs with a pout.

"Hyung! Tell me, are you and Jisoo okay now? I need my reward from Haeun!"

"Reward?"

"Ne!" Taehyung replies nodding his head frantically.

"She said that she'll give me anything I want as my reward for completing our mission."

"What mission?"

"Our mission of getting you and Hyungsu-nim back together."

"Yah, you little brat. How could you gamble on my relationship?

"It's not gambling when it's a win win. I get my reward and you get Hyungsu-nim."

Jin lightly smacks Taehyung on the back of his head.

"Hyung! That hurts!"

"Aigoo. I didn't even hit you that hard you big baby."

Jin ruffles Taehyung's hair before easing into his seat.

"So what are you going to ask as your reward?" Jin grins as he turns his head to watch Taehyung's reaction. His face was priceless. Eyes and mouth wide open and Jin bursts out into a fit of laughter.

"Hyung you're serious right?!!! You're not just pulling my leg, are you?

"We're better than perfect. It was hard at first because Jisoo left me the moment she found out I could see, but she came back and we made up. I even proposed to her and she said yes. She's sleeping soundly at my apartment right now."

"Hyung! Congratulations! I'm happy for you two!"

"Are you sure your happy for us or are you happy that you're gonna get your reward from Haeun?" Jin teases Taehyung while poking his little brother's side.

"Of course it's both! Told you it was a win-win."

"What's the reward that you are going to ask for?" Jin questions his little brother seriously this time.

Taehyung met Jin's orbs and his grin doesn't leave his mouth as he spoke out the only thing that he truly wanted from Haeun.

"Her heart..."
