Explanation and Plans for the Future

One week has passed since Mikasa arrived at Adam's house. At first, Adam was shocked to find out that Mikasa was here since he thought that all the characters he would meet would be following their roles that they play in their anime but it seems he was wrong in assuming that.

After getting over Mikasas's appearance he waited for his things to arrive. When they arrived the day after he immediately began to work on the manga he would be writing.

It was quite easy for him to write the story, using his eidetic memory he was able to remember the entire story up until where he left off. Also with his Master of Arts, he was able to draw the story better than the original and make it so that everything looked as smooth as possible. He also found minor plot holes in the story so he was able to improve on it.

Adam spent the entirety of the week drawing his manga nonstop and talking only a minimal amount with Mikasa. She had gotten used to living with him but she couldn't bring herself to speak to him any more than the minimal amount. She only went out of the room when she went to eat or go shopping. This went on until when she saw what Adam was working and took an interest in the manga.

Adam didn't mind when she was reading chapters that he had already finished. He actually found being by himself quite boring so he enjoyed her company and had her review the chapters as soon as he finished them.

At the end of the week, Adam was able to finish drawing the first 100 chapters of One Piece and planned to make a trip to a publishing company called Fujikawa Fantastic Bunko.

After making a call to the company for an appointment he was left with nothing to do. So he went to the living room to practice with the weapons in his vault since he didn't have any time to do so during the entire week.

When he made sure Mikasa wasn't peeking, he opened up a gate right next to him, and out of it came a medieval-looking sword that had a golden hilt and pummel. The guard was also golden and was curving away from the hilt. The blade itself is colored entirely platinum. The sword, once it was completely pulled was brimming with power. This sword is what Gram was based on, the original prototype was what Gilgamesh collected before it was passed down to other people throughout history. So with this sword, he began practicing his sword skills and after he was done with the sword he switched to a spear, and like that he kept training with various weapons.

After finishing his training for the day he went to take a shower to get ready for his appointment hed had in a few hours.

Spending the rest of his time going through the treasure and gold in his vault while laying down on his couch, the time for him to leave for his appointment.

Making sure Mikasa was aware that he was leaving, he left the apartment towards the publishing company.

Once he was at the entrance of the company he made his way towards the receptionist ignoring all the curious glances people kept sending towards him.

"Excuse me, ma'am, my name is Adam Lochner and I am here for an appointment with Mr.Yamada".

The receptionist who believed the kid in front of her was an employee child was going to ask if he was lost but was shocked when she heard he was her for an appointment. But as she was a professional she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt since it wasn't the strangest thing she's seen in her years of working. So after a couple of seconds, she was able to respond politely.

"Alright thank you Mr.Lockner I'll call Mr. Yamada to come to the lobby to meet you" is what she said before calling someone on an office phone.

Nodding to her reply Adam sat down in one of the chairs that were spread across the waiting room. Not too long after a tall man with brown hair and glasses came walking towards Adam.

"Nice to meet you in person Mr. Lochner follow me to my office so I can read your manga and after that, and depending on the quality of the manga we'll see what we can do".

"It's nice to meet you too Mr. Yamada, and I don't see a problem with that, lead the way".

After arriving at an office that seemed smaller than the rest Adam looked around in confusion. Seeing this Yamada had a wry smile on his face. He didn't want any potential author to feel as if they weren't being properly treated so with a depressed voice he answered Adam's confusion.

"You see, I haven't had any successful projects in months so my pay isn't that high".

Being afraid to look at Adam in the eyes since he was scared that he'll decide to go somewhere else after hearing about his situation.

Adam simply replied, "That is unfortunate Mr. Yamada, I hope my manga can help you out with that".

Hearing Adam's reply. Yamada now had an expression filled with excitement contrary to the dejected look he had a couple of seconds ago.

Not wasting any more time he asked "Do you have any chapters of your manga done so I can read them?"

Taking out 20 chapters he handed them over to Yamada who turned serious when he began to read them.

After an hour of Yamada reading the chapter he finally had a put them down. Not even trying to hide his excitement he got up and did a 90-degree bow and yelled "Please let me help you publish this".

Laughing at the man's actions Adam replied, "I was already planning on doing that from the beginning Mr. Yamada so I'd be nice if you could do that for me".

Embarrassed by his actions Yamada sat back down and opened up his computer to open up a contract. After finding the contract he spoke out again "I can give you 20 percent of the total earnings from the chapter. How many chapters do you have right now and how many can you make per week?"

Replying to him Adam said, "20 percent is fine for me since it seems it's more than I would normally get also I have 100 chapters done right now and I can make at least 20 chapters per week."

Happy with hi response Yamada handed the contract over to Adam "Alright then just sign this and we'll be done with that and I'll make sure everything goes right on my side of the deal. If you need anything call thee number that written here it's my personal number ".

Hearing the last part of the sentence Adam thought for a bit before asking " Can you help me rent a 4 room apartment near the middle of the city? If you're wondering why I can't ask my parents it's because they passed away a couple of years ago". Seeing the look of concern in Yamada's eyes Adam continued speaking "Don't worry about it, I already got over it".

After a brief moment of hesitation, Yamada firmly replied "Leave it to me I'll make sure to find a great apartment for the cheapest price".

Being satisfied with the answer Adam stood up and handed Yamada his bank account information along with an I.D. inside an envelope. "This is my information and I.D so that you can put the apartment under my name".

Receiving the envelope and holding it as if it was made of glass Yamada replied "Thank you for putting your trust in me. I'll make sure to get everything done by the day after tomorrow. Have a nice day".

Before returning home Adam decided that he should use the countless amount of gold in his treasure for something so he decided to sell some of it. So he went to a shop and bought a normal backpack and then summoned a small amount of pure gold from his vault.

Arriving at a shop that trades precious metals for money Adam went to a boot and got asked where he got it from to which he replied saying that it was his Grandparents' inheritance.

Once they went through all the procedures to make sure the gold was real and determine the purity of it and not stolen they told Adam that he could get 2 million yen for all of it. He didn't think that such a small amount of gold would be worth so much but it didn't let it bother him that much. It wasn't as if he was going to be selling his gold often since people would get suspicious of where he is getting all of it from.

Making sure all the money was transferred to his account he finally decided to go home not before talking to himself "A very productive day If I do say so myself".

The first thing he did was go towards his room to speak to Mikasa and speak to her about his abilities. He was putting off until now so that she didn't get weirded out with him. He didn't care how people viewed him, the only opinion he took into consideration is from the people that he wants to get close to or cares for them.

Another reason was that he wanted her to be able to protect herself from any dangers since he couldn't always be with her so he was planning on having her train on how to use knives and short shorts because if she is anything like her counterpart she'll have some skills to use blades even if they aren't the exact ones she used in the anime.

When he walked into the room and saw Mikasa watching T.V, he began speaking with a serious tone "Mikasa I have something to tell you".

Hearing the serious tone in which Adam was speaking she looked back at him with a stoic face but she couldn't hide the worried look on her face. She was scared Adam would tell her to leave so mustering up a small amount of courage she replied "What is it?"

Not beating around the bush Adam simply began to explain "You see there is a lot of abilities I have that make me different from everyone else. One of them lets me summon anything that I have in my treasury through a gate." As he finished, multiple ripples began to form around them with blades lowly coming out of them. Not giving her a chance to ask anything he continued his explanation "Also I can regenerate from anything so no matter how much damage is done to me I'll never get killed. I'll show you an example of it" he finished off and shot two swords to his abdomen.

Mikasa was still trying to process all the outlandish things Adam was saying but woke up from her daze when she saw that Adam was now pierced by two swords and began to panic.

"Adam are you okay!! What happened?! Don't worry, I'll call the ambulance so don't ....." she didn't get to finish her sentence since she too busy staring at the swords that were slowly fading away and Adam's exposed fleshed that was healing at an incredible rate. A few seconds later she couldn't see any evidence that showed he was impaled. If it wasn't for the holes that were on his shirt she would've assumed she was hallucinating. While it did shock her she didn't feel weirded out instead she was curious about his abilities

Seeing that she wasn't freaked out Adam's released a sigh and with it all the tension that had been building up. Mikasa was the first friend he had ever made so he was scared that she would run away after seeing how he was different from her.

After Mikasa was done taking in everything she just witnessed she said, "Thank you for trusting me with your secret but why did you tell me?"

She was happy that he trusted her enough to tell him what must be his biggest secret but she was still curious about his reason for telling her.

Now relaxed by the fact that she didn't run away Adam replied "If we are going to be together from now on I wanted you to know about me so that you don't worry about me if I ever get into a dangerous situation. I also want you to learn how to use a sword so that you can keep yourself safe".

Confused by what she needed a sword to keep herself safe from she interrupted him " Who do I need to protect myself from?"

Hearing this Adam began to explain to her that there are probably other people out there that can use magic. He also explained the different races that there are all over the world and the existence of Gods.

He found out that there are devils, angels in this world. A lot of the weapons that he has are holy swords or demonic swords so he can feel when someone gives off the same energy that these swords release. He already felt that something holy watching over normal people and also confirmed some individuals that give off a feeling close to his demonic swords. So with this, he concluded that there must be the type of entities that are in the High School DxD universe. He wasn't sure if all the gods were the same since he hasn't met them and also the Goddess also said that character from a book he read would be here. The only books he found interesting from the ones he were was the ones written by Rick Riordan. So he will have to wait to meet them to make a conclusion to get the subject.

After hearing the explanation that Adam gave her, Mikasa was now in deep thought. She realized that Adam cared enough about her to make sure she was safe, this made a bigger impact on her heart, even more than Adam would ever find out. So with a smile on her face and a dangerous glint in her eyes that went unnoticed by Adam, she replied to him "I have decided, I'll be staying with you forever. So I will begin to train so I can help you and keep myself safe".

Adam wanted to comment on her weird use of the word 'forever' but seeing the resolute look on her face he decided to ignore all the alarms that were going off inside of his head.

Now that all the explanations were done he informed her that they will be moving soon and when they finish moving they'll enroll in an elementary school. He told her that she'll get her own room in the new apartment. To which Adam thought she'd be happy since she could have more privacy since she was a girl and all but saw that she had a small amount of regret on her face.

Not minding her weird reactions he went to take a shower and then head to bed.
