Chapter Six

Skylar Point of Veiw:

"Good Morning ladies." Robin yells from inside the unit. Everyone woke up and stood outside their cells, Faye didn't even spare me a look. "Roxanne, Trish, Fiona, Aurora, Mitchell, Foxie, Alexis, Faye, Skylar, and Tina . Olivia and Kelly won't be returning to this unit. Aurora and Tina pack up you will both be moving into unit G. We will move in the new inmates that arrive this afternoon. You'll be getting to know four incredible women, two from up east Gilmore Prison actually." He chuckled leaving after call. "Gilmore for fuck sake, Hamilton is insane." Foxie says aloud. "What does he think he's doing, remember what happened last time a prisoner from there came here?" Roxie says. "What's the deal with Gilmore?" Faye asks Trish. "Serious offenders. Worst of the worst get sent there. Every now and then someone gets released into a less secure prison."Trish explains. "I want one prisoner in each of the newbies cells. Roxanne move to cell three, Mitchell to five. Any more violence in this unit and we will moved everyone into new homes, is that clear? I am here to oversee changes in Black Fortress, starting with the drug use and violence. My name is Mrs. Santago. This is Doctor Darwin Clyde, your new counselor. Now I will be announcing some changes such as new programs that will be promising to your future. With that I will let Mr. Clyde make his introduction. " Mrs. Santago announced in a rough manner. "Hello Unit I, I will be here to listen to all concerns, and just as a person you can come to. I hope we will be seeing each other often." He nods. Mrs. Santago was a tall white woman with long blonde hair. I'm guessing her husband is Hispanic. She wore a red button up with a long white skirt. Her badge and radio clung into her left hip. Mr. Clyde wore a grey sweat shirt with brown pants. He carried a backpack with him. After all the new introductions we were released to breakfast. Faye went, but we didn't speak. The girls knew the tension so Fiona tried to talk with her to easy it a bit. "Aye Boss wants you in Rec." Carmen says. Shes in Ivys crew. "Alrighto." I say standing up. "Not you, Faye." Carmen says smirking. Faye looked up, the room was quiet. "Okay." she stood up. "You don't have to go." I say to her. She doesn't give me a glance and walks out with Carmen. I nod to the girls, Fionna, Foxie, Trish stood up to follow her. "When are the newbies coming in?" I ask the lunch lady while taking my tray of oatmeal. "After lunch, new announcements before." she says. "Appreciate it." I say earning a slight nod.

Faye's Point of Veiw:

We walked into the Rec room, I saw the girls following which I was grateful for. "Come sit Faye." Ivy says kicking out a chair from the round table. "Get lost girls, Faye and I are long over due for a chat." She tells the girls. They go to sit across the room but don't leave Rec. "Prison treating you well?" she asks, I noticed her hair well let. They whole left side was shaved and the longer hair was tossed to the right. It looked nice, I just couldn't figure out how she did it in this place. "As good as it's gonna get, I guess." I sigh. "You got that right." She laughed sipping on some apple juice from com. "Do you want some?" she asked offering me a blow pop. "Uh sure, thanks." I say taking a green apple one. "Now I heard about that mess with Olivia." she chuckles dryly. "What did you hear?" I asked taking a deep breath. "I heard that you got involved with something that wasn't your business." She says smiling then moving to sit next to me. "Care to explain yourself Faye?" she says tapping the table. "It was wrong-" I say but she interrupts me. "Wrong? This is prison Faye. I don't know where the fuck you think you are but her Wrong isn't much of a good answer." she says grabbing me by my throat. "Kelly stole from Olivia, do you know who supplies Olivia, I DO. Which means Kelly stole from me. Do you want to know what life in prison is without my protection, huh? Is that it?" She says inches away from my face. The girls stood up but so did Ivy's crew. "Now you are going to help me sell the rest of this stuff. Since it was your fault Olivia was sent off. I want it sold, all of it by Wednesday. You got three days." She says lifting her grey shit to show me a plastic bag with drugs. She turned me around and acted like she was giving me a hug while she slipped it into the waistband of my pants. Afterward she shoved me away. I gritted my teeth and walked back to my Unit. "How much does she got you selling?" Fionna asks. "Everything Olivia lost for fucksake." I say frustrated. "Well just tell Sky, she can't help you get rid of that mess in no time." Foxie says. "No. I'll take care of it." I say knowing Skylar couldn't be involved. "Okay well Rule one, never keep it in your cell, it's gotta go somewhere else." Foxie says. "Like where ?" I asked looking at the white substance. "Your work unit is in the library, there's a spot behind shelf two. It's a hollow hole." Fionna says. "Okay I'll be right back, don't tell Skylar where I'm going." I say taping the bag to my leg with scotch tape. "Hurry, count is in fifteen." Foxie reminds me.

Skylar Point of View: "What did she want then?"I ask hitting the back of Fionnas head. "Olivia supplied Ivys shit. She gave some blow for Faye to sell, whole bag. We told her to hide it in our old spot." Foxie explains. "What's going on with you two? She didn't want us to let you know what's going on" Fionna says as Faye walks back into the unit looking like a ghost. "Where'd you go?" I asked her curious to how she'd answer. She walked right passed me biting her lip. I sighed and announced that I'd be in Rec if someone needed me. I actually went to different units asking some of the girls if they wanted to buy. After getting ride of most of it, Gloria bought the rest. I'd give Ivy the money tomorrow. Faye was in her bunk when I walked in, she was reading a different book now. "Faye?" I call out her name. Silence. "I miss you." Silence. "I love you." Silence. I pang shot through my heart. I walked out of our cell and sat with the girls who were gossiping. Morales entered our unit with the four new prisoners. One of them looked no more than eighteen if not younger. At the end of the line was Savana. We made eye contact but she was going into her cell. I walked back to the cell, "Faye! Get over here now." I say grabbing her arm pulling her down. "Get off of me Sky." She says pulling away from me. "Shush, and listen. Someone I used to work for is here from Gilmore. Baby she's dangerous, I guarantee she didn't come without an friend. She's a master at manipulation. She will chew you up to spit you out. Once she has a hold on you it's impossibe to get rid of her. Do you hear me? In my extra pair of shoes there is a shiv, okay? Do not let her do you any favors, she'll always come back to collect." I finish explaining when she walked up to my cell. "Skylar what a surprise girl." she clicks her tounge.
