Chapter Seven

*Flashback▪seven years ago*

"Are you sure about this?" Zavier asks as we head up to the hotel room we got assigned. "Ruby says everything is legit. I trust her, now let's go." I say stepping off the elevator. "Room 462." he sighs. We walked into the room and were greeted with a woman standing in the middle surrounded by four dudes. "You must be Skylar right?" she laughs and extends her hand. "I'm Savana." She says smiling. "Yeah, hello. Ruby said we'd be meeting." I shake her hand. Her black hair was put up in a bun to show off her undercut. She had tats, and a eye brow piercing. She also had a industrial bar shaped as an arrow. I saw her left arm also had an arrow tattoo. She couldn't be older than twenty one. "Yes alright." I say sitting down at the table. Zavier hadn't spoken and kept eye balling their guns. She took a drink of her scotch and laid her phone on the table. "We have the cash." Zavier says. "Of course you do." she chuckles. We handed her the duffle bag carrying 330k. "Zavier, you are free to leave now." She says, he nods and leaves the room. He always was a punk. "I want you Sky, to come into business with me. I think you would find our assets quite useful." She says. Their was a hint of something in her eyes. She was dangerous.

*ends flashback*

Skylar Point of View:

"It has been a very long time, hasn't it." I say walking up to her. "Thought you turned a new leaf, you can understand my astonishment when I found out you had moved your business with Gilberto." She says. I mean none of my concern you paid your debt to me." she finishes. That look. I knew it all to well. "It is none of your concern Savana." I say. Then Ivy came storming with four girls, "SAVANA!" She screams. They enter the cell and Ivy lands a punch on her face, the other girls grabbed her. "Hey, big sister. How long has it been huh? Three years, right?" Ivy laughs, then pulls out a shiv. "AHHHAHH!" Savana screams as Ivy slashes her across the face. Blood dripped down her face then she laughs. "Been thinking about me little sister." Savana say spitting at her. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" Hamilton shouts. Ivy discreetly passes the shiv go one of the girls she came in with. "Send Mercy to isolation. Get the prisoner to Medical." Hamilton shouts to the other guards. "FIX THESE CAMERAS!" He yells. "Clean that blood up." He says pointing at Faye. "SKylar get your ass to my office, NOW." he finishes. "Move everyone into the cafeteria now." He tells Robin.

Faye Point of View:

"Everyone go, Faye stay to clean up your cell." Morales says giving me a bucket of water with bleach and a sponge. I looked down, it was a lot a blood. Not just from the nasty gash she got, but from the Ivys hits. "Fuck." I muttered as I began scrubbing the floor. They were sisters? Sisters. It doesn't make any sense. After I finished I dumped the water out then went to the cafeteria. "Hello Ladies! I am Mrs. Santago. I am this prisons new director. I will be employing new programs that I know will help you ladies in the future. Such as a drug habitation program, and new work projects. Everyone's work unit is going to change. We will have educational programs. Come see me if you are interested in any of the programs listen on this list. I look forward to knowing you all." She pointed to a chalk board. "Hello my name is Doctor Clyde, I will be your new counselor. I have seen a few of you already, I hope I can build a solid relationship with each one of you." He nods. Afterward lunch went on normally. Ivy entered the cafeteria, "Look for somewhere else to sit, yeah?" she nodded. "Less than twenty four hours later and you got my money? Sky just dropped it off. Ya know, eventually you will have to fend for yourself with these ladies pumpkin. Sky can't protect you from everyone forever, just a word of advice." she winks then walks away to her table. I walked back to the unit, Sky was in her cell. "Thank you for helping me with my situation with Ivy. I want to handle whatever I need to by myself from now on." I say but she's facing away. "Yeah, whatever." she mumbles. "Sky?" I say. She looks over her shoulder and I see bruises over her eye. She's bleeding. "W-what happened Skylar?" I gasped and grabbed my towel, I ran it under the cold water then pressed it to her wound. "Don't worry about it love bug." she winces taking the towel holding it herself. I buried my face in my hands in frustration. "We shouldn't even be here." I groan. "You shouldn't be here." she emphasized. "I have so much anger towards you." I admitted to her. She looks up then rolls her eyes, "yeah it's all my fault." she muttered. "Yes, it was your fault Skylar."I scoff then stand up to walk away. "You didn't mind when you were falling from the Sky in Dubi. Or whenever you were sipping on a two thousand dollar bottle of rose champagne in New York. How about the tour you wanted to take to Europe? Where the fuck did you think the money came from huh?" She shouts throwing the towel back at me. "I didn't know! Five years and you couldn't be honest with me Skylar?" I say trying to calm down. "Oh not only could you not be honest with me but you introduced me to your drug buddies, right? That's why I AM here! Then handed me the money, saying it was clothes. Guess who was holding the bag when the cops invaded the fucking place? ME! I am here because you didn't give me a God damn choice." I say letting the hurt, the anger swallow me. She jumps up and moves towards me, "We will get through this lovebug." She says softly holding my arms. "Sky if we are convicted we could spend eight to twelve years here. So don't tell me that bullshit story." I say feeling tears ring down my face. "I can't take this anymore." I finish and walk away. I got to the phone booths and put in the coins. "A inmate from Black Fortress Prison is attempting to contact you, press one to accept the call. Hello who is this?" I hear my mom's voice on the other end. "Mommy, it's me." I cried out. I missed her so much. "Faye? What are you doing calling me from prison dear? What happened?" She speaks quickly. "I want to see you momma. I'll explain everything." I say wiping my face. She took a pause, "Was it that girl Faye?" she asks. "A lot happened mom, but yeah it had something to do with her." I answer truthfully. "I'm sorry I can't come to see you." She says quickly. "Mom? What mom? Why?" I say my stomach turning again. "I told you what would happen if you stayed with that woman. God did not want this for you, you did this. You've forsaken us Faye. Your father passed three months after you disappeared, the police called saying you were found dead. They were wrong, you daddy couldn't take that much. I want this to be the last time you ever contact me." She says rushed. " Mom? Mo-m?" I say shaking, the other side was dead. "Skylar is looking for you." Ivy says walking up to me, I nearly hear her. "Uh, my bad, what?" i say bring my attention back to her. "What's wrong with you pumpkin?" She says laughing. "I'm alright, actually can I ask you something?" I say seeing her hand was injured. "You just did blondie." she says pushing me aside to use the phone. "Do you know what happened to Skylar's face?" I question, a smile spreads across her face. "Just needed a reminder that her business with Savana is through." She laugh it off then begins a conversation on the phone. "Ten minutes will Call for the night ladies." Santago says walking the halls with Savana behind her. The slice across her cheeks was bandaged. They were taking her back to her unit. I walked back to the unit but Sky wasn't there. "Sky is searching everywhere for you." Mitchell says from the table. "So I've been told." I shrugged and sit next to her. "Cake Wars is on." she says. "Oh I miss the taste of red velvet cake." i playfully groan. " I trece leches cake." she winked. "So what's going on with you and Sky." she says. "Alright everyone get by their cells." Santago says beginning to take call. Sky still wasn't here, I needed Sky. "Here, I'm here!" she says running into the unit. "Next time you're on shower dutie." Santago says. After count we were locked in our cells. "Daddy died." I whisper feeling my shirt soaking from my tears. Sky didn't hear me. She was in her own world right now, making up a wonderful world of life through her art. I clung onto my pillow praying Sky didn't hear me. I wanna see my dad, there was just so much left unsaid. The last time we saw one another it was awful. My heart ached at the idea we would never have another conversation face to face. "Daddies number one." I could almost hear him. "Faye? Are you asleep?" Sky askes standing up. I hold my breath hoping she'd think I was. "Good night love bug, I love you mamas." she whispers before going to sleep.
