Jonathan Takes the Lead

Jonathan, saying this, looked at the door in front of him that was scanning him, and after a few seconds, it turned green, granting him access.

To be honest, Jonathan was surprised, more than surprised, he was very excited. If everything went well, he could have many of the problems solved, and that was just what he needed at this point.

"Guide Ada and Leon to meet us; they will help me deal with the monsters along the way and help me get out of here alive," Jonathan said as he walked among the corpses of the undead he had eliminated.

Annette had watched Jonathan's performance and thought about it. She knew that William was evolving in an uncontrolled way, and if no one is here to end his life, she should solve what she couldn't stop in the first place.

When Jonathan approached, he saw a wound on Ada's leg, but there was no time now to ask, so they first entered the cable car, and after sitting down, he said, "How is she?"

"I'm fine," Ada replied, who had a wounded leg, and now that they were heading to the underground laboratory, Jonathan had forgotten the fact that Ada was wearing the bracelet that gave her many of the necessary accesses he required.

He didn't need it now, but due to his concerns that hadn't yet detached from what is morally correct, he asked Annette to stop setting traps for Ada on the way.

"We're heading to the lab; you'll be a burden when we get there, so stay in a safe place," Jonathan said without feeling sorry for Ada's condition, who wouldn't appreciate Jonathan's false concern if he showed it.

"You must know that this is vital to me, help me since you and Leon are my last hope."

"I also need the G-virus; that's a matter of life or death." Jonathan didn't want to be the hero, but if the opportunity allows, he would give Ada what she wanted, not out of pity but possibly to earn extra points.

No one could allow Ada to be a burden, so Leon stood up beside Jonathan, and both watched as the cable car slowly stopped.

"The plot doesn't change; I'm not here for that since my only goal is to survive..." Jonathan muttered slightly as he took his rifle.

Jonathan had taken Leon's route, unaware of Claire's whereabouts, but still, he walked confidently towards his goal, which was the laboratory.

Checking the time, he thought Jill might have woken up.

Knowing that, Jonathan had to quicken his pace.

There were many secret missions, Jill, Claire, and many more. Rebecca was probably the only one not considered for the secret missions in this simulation.

"I found a map," said Leon as he examined it alongside Jonathan, who was checking the surroundings.

After obtaining the map, Jonathan was quite familiar with the terrain here. With a quick glance, he went straight to the break room through the cafeteria.

After getting an employee chip, he inserted it into an ID bracelet, thus gaining the authority Annette had granted him.

In these laboratories, there are three levels of identification.

Authentication is done through an electronic chip on a bracelet. By inserting different electronic chips, access rights to different areas of this not-so-large laboratory can be changed.

Walking towards the center of the laboratory, it was known that the authority for the east zone is not enough for what they have now, so they must strictly go through a designated area.

Jonathan also knew that the West District was where the G-virus was stored.

Walking down a hallway in search of reaching a meeting room, Leon and he could see an employee pressed against the glass by a mutated plant, holding the required top-level personnel chip in hand.

But seeing that the plants here were mutated, Jonathan wondered if an RPG would be enough to destroy the glass that should be bulletproof.
