Begging For The Alpha’s Mercy.

Sebastian's P.O.V

"Look at me." I demand.

"I can't." She whimpers, slowly lifting up her face her lips quiver and a fire is lit within me.

"Yes you can, now open your eyes and look at me."

Quickly waking up, I pant heavily. As I get ready to train with the pack I just can't wrap my head around who the girl in my dream was, or why I felt so drawn to her. Ugh! I don't have time for this shit, I need to focus.

"Come on! I thought this was the best and toughest pack in the region."

"Sebastian go a little easy on them , I mean they have been training since 3am this morning at your command." Jake says while stopping to take a breather.

"Jake, you know why I'm doing this. They have to be ready when the Alpha of the Moundrin pack arrives. You know that sleazy bastard could have an attack up his sleeve and my pack cannot .."

"Cannot afford to be too overworked when he gets here now can they?" Jake interrupts as he holds his whistle to his mouth, blowing it, and everyone stands to a halt.

"OK ! Practice is over, all of you go shower and get fed so you are well rested for tomorrow. The Alpha of the Moundrin pack is coming and we don't need you guys too tired to fight, if necessary." As soon as he's done they drop to the floor, gasping for air. Most guys would be a little pissed for being brutally overworked by their Alpha for hours on end, but not members of my pack. They're the most dedicated and hard working fighters in the wolf community, reason why we're the most powerful pack even if we're not the largest. The women in this pack are very well trained as well.

"Jake!" Kylie yells as she runs over to Jake and I, throwing her arms around him. I watch in annoyance as they embrace each other in front of me. Kylie is Jake's mate, my Beta and she is also unfortunately one of my closest friends, even though I'd never admit to the both of them.

"There's my girl. I didn't see you this morning at the training grounds, where were you?." When they start making out I take that as my cue to leave.

"Baby stop, not in front of Sebastian."

"I'm heading to my office, come to me after you're done, we have a lot to discuss."

"Yes Alpha." He says bowing his head and I head to my office. I know aside from every female wolf, that male wolves look forward to finding their mates as well but I just can't help but be repulsed by the idea of a mate. I have been since I was young. People are quite to sell this idea that when we find this other half the Moon Goddess made for us, we'll be happy and complete but it's just a fucked up fiction. A mate is nothing but a weakness that drags you down, especially when you're an Alpha because the minute you find her, your world is basically over. Everything is at stake, your people's safety, her safety and your sanity. I'm pulled from my thoughts when I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in." I command and Jake walks in.

"Alpha , you wanted to discuss something."

"Yes."

"I wanted to know if you had any suggestions on the placement of the guards. I went through this 3 times already but I don't know, maybe you have better suggestions?"

Jake smirks. "You always do this." He says while placing his left hand on his forehead.

"Do what?" Furrowing my eyebrows, I dare him to go on.

"You're a perfectionist so you stress over every little detail when it comes to everything. Whether it be a visit from another pack or training, you always do this but, because I am your Beta I'll indulge in your obsessions cause clearly.." Jake pauses to laugh "There's nothing I can do." Jake and I spend hours tightening our defence and and strengthening any loopholes we might have.

"Alright, that's enough." He sighs. "It's dinner time and Kylie just mind linked me to drag you to the dinner table."

"Sometimes I think she forgets that I'm her Alpha." Packing up my phone rings and a scrawl makes its way onto my face when I see who it is.

"Sebastian, whoever that is can wait."

"It's my father." His face turns sour.

"Do you need me to take it?"

"No , you go ahead I'll catch up." I can see the defiance in his eyes but he knows better than to push when it comes to my father. Giving up, he nods and walks away. "Father." I say already wanting this conversation to end.

"Always a pleasure son." I can basically hear him smirking on the other end.

"You called for a reason?"

"Watch your tone boy!"

"What the fuck did you call me for?"

"I'm calling about that bastard Jason coming to see you tomorrow. Are you prepared?" He must be irritated.

"We're prepared. I have taken every precaution to make sure we're ready for any and everything he might throw at us now, if that's all my pack is waiting." Hanging up before he can say anything I huff, what does he take me for.

Following after Jake I calm myself, if my pack sees me irritable they'll think there's something they need to worry about. I need to stop letting him get under my skin so easily, or else I'll end up just like him.

"You good?" He asks when I join them and I nod, taking my seat.

"I'm sorry I kept you guys waiting."

"We'll always wait for you Alpha!" One of my pack members say and it turns into an uproar.

We start digging in and I can't help but be filled with pride when I look around me, we worked really hard to become this strong and I'm not going to let anything or anyone stand in our way.
