Constitution of Void
At night, when Zeo is sleeping, he dreams of floating inside nothingness; it is pitch black everywhere. Panicking, he runs randomly, searching for his parents, but there is no one he can find. Unsure how long has gone through feeling a few years have passed by. Both of his knees fell down, feeling hopeless; this was the first time he felt lonely in his life; even though his father was not always around, his mother and Elder Kinta always around him.
Zeo started to cry, missing his family, but suddenly his left knee, which has the crow birthmark shone then a silhouette came out from it, looking like a blackbird. The blackbird is slowly becoming bigger and its appearance becoming clearer. It has the appearance of a crow but both wings are surrounded with silver flames, a white beak, and 4 silvery eyes with red pupils. Still, unlike crow, this bird does not have any legs but has a long tail that if you observe closely, the space surrounding the tail is distorted whenever it moves.
Zeo was surprised by this sudden event, trying to run away for his life. Well, he is only 5 years old, and the chances for him to win a fight with the bird, are zero percent. But whenever he turned away from the bird, the bird was still in front of him, he tried turning left to right, front to back, still the same, shouting for his parents to save him from this situation. Suddenly he heard someone talk to him inside his mind.
"Oh, Young One , you have awakened me from a deep sleep by absorbing the dagger that you received, and for that I thank you. My name is Phenax , and it seems you are afraid with this appearance ". The space around the bird started becoming distorted, slowly the bird becoming smaller. "I am the Primordial of the Void in Zenneth, Phenax, I am very grateful to you for saving me from the hell of time and space."
Zeo becomes less frightened when the bird's size is like the size of his head, pondering when he ever save this weird bird in his life. Trying to remember anything related to crow in his life but nothing came out from his memory. " Sorry, mister Phenax, I think you got the wrong guy cause I never met a crow in my life, only seen them in a book".
Phenax chuckled, seeing the little boy in front of him looking clueless while thinking how this boy's body could be linked to his power; scanning his body he is astonished and happy. " Thank you, Lord of the Universe, millennia of waiting, at last, the host that I'm waiting for since the beginning of the universe has appeared, now I can kick their ass back to not mess with me for that time. Young One, you have been blessed with the Constitution of the Void. The dagger that you absorb, was a part of my feather that I left in this world as a last resort to revive before I was trapped in the prison of space and time in the previous war. I don't know how I came out from the prison through your body , maybe because it is related to your constitution. "
"Constitution of the Void? I have never read or heard about it, Mister Phenax, I have difficulty to sense spirits since I started training, but other kids my age easily practice on it. So my father wants me to focus on martial arts instead of spiritualism so in the future I can take care of myself".
"Young one, you are not able to sense the spirit because the Constitution of Void is only able to sense void spirit. Once your body hosts the spirit of the void, then only the you are able to sense other spirit, it is like you obtained eyes to see us."
Zeo becomes more comfortable to Phenax, even though Phenax appearance is hideous, its been some time he talks to someone inside the nothingness ."Mister Phenax, are you really is Primordial Spirit, I heard from my father Primordial Spirit is only in legend, no one saw them before. Only people know of its existence due to records from the ancestor." Spirit can be categorized to Normal , Elite , Elder , Ancient and Primordial . The greater the talent of the spiritualist, the better they can sense the spirit around them. Spirits can be contracted in return they will provide the power of the individual element. They can be found anywhere but easily spotted at a place with the same nature and elemental. The higher the rank of the spirit, the more difficult to sense them . So spiritualists tend to increase their skill by taking some pills forged by alchemy. To be contracted to the spirit both must have an agreement , if the contracted host do not fulfill their end of bargain , severe backlash can occur and there is a case , the spirit's anger claimed the life of the spiritualist for breaking the contract .
The contract can be lift up with both consensus , so for beginner the first spirit is so important making the family searching for the best pills to be given to their child for them to have them acquired better spiritual sense to be contracted to higher level spirit or else the price need to be pay will be more higher .
"Many of us perish in the previous war , I will not explain more than that as your strength is insufficient to know about the truth. Well, young one , do you want to be contracted to me , I will provide you the strength in return I will need you to help me with something but the time is not now, so I cannot tell you my request yet , I will only tell you when I deem you strength is enough to do it , so are you willing to forge the contract".
Zeo hurriedly accepts it as his dream to become a spiritualist to live longer. Spiritualists have longer lifespans depending on the strength of the spirit they contracted, the stronger they are , the longer their lifespan.
Phenax fly into Zeo's head. He felt a cruciate headache like wearing a headband that was becoming smaller and smaller . Phenax has never been contracted before, so has no idea how to lessen Zeo suffering besides terminating the contract, as a Primordial Spirit , he has power for it but he has finally found a host and if he cancels the contract , he cannot be contracted for the second time to the same host. Suddenly the birthmark of Zeo disappears as well as the pain he felt. He passed out , Phenax came out of his body and observe him.
"Constitution of the Void is a birthmark? Or someone implant the Constitution to him that's why it appear as birthmark ? Time to read his memory ." What surprised Phenax is the appearance SiaXin , other than that , non of his memory is related to the birthmark. SiaXin aura reminds him of his old friend that fought with him during the previous war.
"So you contracted to this man , this explain the coincidence of my feather and this boy in one place. Don't you worry my friend , I will join you in our fight to protect our realm later on once this boy is strong enough for it. Im sorry Zeo if I have a choice I wont have to drag you into this". Phenax stare deeply at Zeo, who was sleeping comfortably, then went inside back to his body.
