/Last night/
Bats was going roof to roof in Hell's kitchen, aiming to gain more on the "Hand" situation.
The organization was tight on lips with nearly no slip-ups from the beaten thugs, all that he could find was from the new recruit beaten into submission on day-1.
There was no other information to be found as Batman was once again reminded of his technological handicap in the field.
But today was special, despite having virtually no informants in the field, the information slip-up had helped the Dark Knight in his endeavor where a large shipment was to come, to infect the already drug investment neighbor of Hell's Kitchen.
'It's bait.'
With the power level gauged in previous skirmishes, where the majority of the ninjas with katanas identified in his eyes to be the members of the Hand, Bats had the confidence to join the shadows and leave if need be, but the bait was too lucrative to just let go given the disadvantages he faced.
What else was going on in his mind, nobody knew.
From half a mile's distance, the caped crusader looked forward in the darkness of the valley from where the shipment was delivered through a truck.
True to its word, the truck was indeed being loaded with whitish powder if that is what he think it is.
'They are risking their goods for a chance.'
Bat registered in his mind to see for the rich that had unverified or questionable means of income in NY for the shipment to concern the vicinity.
He turns his binoculars to his right to ascertain his findings.
'They are not the only ones desperate.'
...
...
In the dark where nothing could be seen, a grim voice came out of nowhere.
"Tactical retreat it is."
The Dak knight was sitting on the edge of the roof when he falls to his back with his head downwards, kicking off the wall to land silently. {Pic}
Jumping the three-story building without a sound, standing still in the sound alley. {Pic}
In the alley were two adults, cornering a boy, in his early 20s or mayhaps 19, or that was what it looked like.
The boy was actually the one that had come to deal with them, as he had been told a way to acquire a gun for cheap.
True to their word, the couple, the two of the men were showcasing what guns they had for selling, including but not limited to pistols such as G42, Glock 19, and even a shotgun Armscor RIA VR80.
Bats lunged forward to kick off the crate in between the three, it sliding off some meters back.
He curled his arm around the men near him to land a knee on his surprised face, hard enough for him to sleep with just one hit.
The other one was surprised to say at least, falling on his backing fear of the Batman as his friends told him, the one who beats the men in their business so hard they don't wake up for a week and afterward the hospital bill was enough for them to go out of business. [A/N What an idea, Wayne Hospital, and Wayne Health insurance]
Batman gripped the fallen men's collar and pulled him forward to land three rock-shattering punches on non-vital parts of his body, effectively rendering the man to be unable to stand or even crawl.
As Bats rose up, to his left was the boy, aiming the shotgun Armscor RIA VR80 at his face, with trembling arms and shivering nozzle.
"Put it down." The quiet and calm voice resonated in the alley.
"D-DON'T COME NEAR ME!!! I WILL SHOO!"
"Put it down." The voice of the same amplitude followed the shouting boy while he started taking steps backward.
The boy put his finger on the trigger while slowly applying pressure on it to shoot, albeit nervously.
Batman dives forward with ease while having one hand on the gun and one to punch the boy, albeit relatively a lot weaker punch than earlier.
The boy fell on his feet, still not letting go of the gun, putting full force on the trigger for someone to come and help him from the situation.
But the trigger remains stiff, for him to see the back of the space of the trigger room having gloved fingers. Another relatively weak from the Bats side but the hardest he ever received for the boy punch came to his face, for him to surrender peacefully in his dreams.
The Bat wanted to leave fast by leaving the roof, only to come back from an alternate entry point he had considered with the bait he had placed for the hidden listeners there but with this small incident, a perfect exit was difficult.
So he waited for the pursuers to come to him standing in solitude in the silence and darkness.
And the first to greet was a redhead, aiming her arm braces at him, possibly a taser or a projectile weapon. Silently crept another sniper, who chose to keep his presence not known to the two, a teammate of the woman perhaps.
The breast patch of the redhead had what resembled a dark eagle in a circular border.
'S.H.I.E.L.D.'
He ignored the sniper as he had no reason to lose his advantage for the show of abilities, not when the authorities were probably closing in.
"Don't move, we have you surrounded from all directions, surrender peacefully and we would treat you as we treat a guest." The woman gave a seductive look while talking as if to entice the Bat to his surrender.
The Dark Knight knew it was a trick, the authorities were closing in, true, but not fast enough to have him surrounded.
He walked forwards, closing the distance slowly to the woman, while she continued her shouting of no movement.
'Shoot the warning shot.' The comms sounded in the ear of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Black Widow as she shot the lightning shot from her armband, aimed at the cape of the caped crusader.
Bats turned quietly as he avoided the shot, for more to follow, all of them to be dodged with minimal effort.
Finally, he noticed some movement from the sniper's side, as a projectile left his position with no sound, aimed at the Bat.
Batman pulled himself back in mid-air to dodge the shot, only to find an arrow to close the distance, as he slid his hand forward and catch it mid-air.
With a momentary glance at the arrow tip, he threw it forward at the redhead woman who had stopped shooting the taser shots, finally changing to a pistol, still aimed at the non-vitals.
With the time going down, Batman did a 360 jump to leap forward to exit the alley, steadfastly getting hold of a truck going 40kmph, only to be followed by men on bikes.
Seconds after the gunshots continued.
'They are truly getting desperate to allow firearms to be used in a public place'
Bats kept his eyes on the roadside, as the yellow milestone for Manhattan came up. He twirled around the gate pole of the truck to get enough torque to charge at the roadside, diving under its edge, in the sea beneath.
He dived into the sea, swimming underwater to get past his pre-planned and unmapped exit.

"Status update"
"He slid past us, inhuman reflexes and calm under pressure, either ability to discern truth or good senses, perhaps both, and agility to cope up with those reflexes," Natasha told her partner while tapping her ear comm.
"He knew of the position so the senses part holds the most truth."
"Anything supernatural?" Replied the person from the comm.
"Well either he is a hardcore gym freak with the perfect trainer to meet his requirements, but that's too farfetched. Even gym could not teach you to pass between bullets of a firing gun with that ease." Hawkeye replied.
"Battle-hardened then? potentially being a non-civilian vigilante, not the first we have witnessed" On the comms, Coulson joined the operation overview room where Fury was personally overseeing the chase.
"If you take it to the extremes... There is the possibility of super soldier serum..." Natasha replied in a doubtful tone as she rolled a bullet underneath her feet.
"That's less likely, we had tested repeatedly on his blood acquired the night the portal closed... that is if that was his blood... return to base, he seemed to be aware of our intervention from the start. I need a brief report from the two of you to be the only one to fight him and capable of gauging his strength."
Natasha left the scene as Hawkeye followed her in their S.H.I.E.L.D.-provided vehicle.

In the tunnels, Batman came out from the water, walking forwarding the dark cave.
He stops after taking two steps, looking upward to find masked ninjas with two circular glasses for eyes, equipped with katanas in both hands, followers of the dual-wielding style.
One by one they fell from the ceiling to take their place, surrounding him as the last of the nineteen took his place three meters behind him.
He grumbled quietly.
