Chapter 9 Kohinoor’s return

After hearing gunshots in the forest, people in town were wondering what was going on in the forest and asked for authorities to check. Meanwhile, as Sagiri tries to sneak her father into town, her mother goes out to look for her, worried for her child.

Sagiri and Kohinoor eventually arrive home safely as Sagiri prepares him food to eat, giving him some time to rest after the attack. Mitsuha calls Sagiri's phone asking where she has been all this time, but Sagiri does not hesitate telling her mother that her father has returned.

Mitsuha arrives at their house, furious yet worried as she trembles from her legs down to her feet, knowing that she will get to see Kohinoor once again after a long time.

But she didn't know of the trouble that was headed their way until she talks to Kohinoor and Sagiri.

Mitsuha: Sagiri! I'm home.

Sagiri: Come to the kitchen. We are here.

Mitsuha: Your father, where is he?

Kohinoor: Behind you, my dear love.

Mitsuha quickly faces Kohinoor with teary eyes and embraces him tightly, letting all her joy out after seeing her husband again. After seeing her mother and father getting emotional, Sagiri laughs hysterically and teases them both as if they were children.

Sagiri: Uh? Seriously? Really? HAHA! You're both acting like children.

Mitsuha: Don't you ruin our moment here, Sagiri!

Kohinoor: HAHAHA! Listen to your mother; I know she missed me so much.

Mitsuha: See? She's just like you! Anyways we have to talk.

Kohinoor: I know you have a lot of questions but we have to leave this place now.

Sagiri: If it's the gunshots, we were the targets.

Mitsuha: WHAT?! You! Did I just hear our daughter say you were getting shot at?!

Kohinoor: Yes, and just like I said we have to leave.

Mitsuha: No! I can't leave. I am the mayor of this town and Sagiri has school tomorrow.

Kohinoor: But we can't stay here, you heard your daughter.

Mitsuha: I understand your point but I cannot just leave, I have to get this situation resolved because the people are worried.

Kohinoor: You can't tell them about us or those Genesis will find you.

Mitsuha: I will tell them about you and our relationship, but I'll just make a story. Don't worry, I promised right?

Sagiri: Should I really go to school tomorrow? You can cancel classes right now and say it is about the gunshots.

Mitsuha: Fine, but promise me you will be a good girl.

Kohinoor: Are you always like this? I mean you just agreed to your daughter to abuse your power.

Mitsuha: It's my first time to agree and she has a point, we can use that to get a hold on the situation.

Kohinoor: Right, I hope everything goes well.
