Chapter 8 Kagi Takayama

Kagi Takayama was an explorer who was a part of the Genesis. In his early years, his father would often tell him stories about the Stone of Life and what it could do. His father was part of the team of explorers alongside Yamada Ogai to retrieve the stone.

But after events caused by Yamada, everyone on the team, including Kagi's father, was forced into silence on the whole incident. Yamada then trained Kagi to become the next leader to succeed him when he dies. Time passed, and instead, Kagi settles down and raises a family.

Unfortunately, in an unexpected turn of events, they were involved in an accident where only he survived. Depressed and desperate to see them again, he spent years and years researching on the Stone of Life and the Babylon spirit world, but later gave up, thinking of himself as a fool for believing in a story told by his father.

With Sagiri's stories, Kagi sensed the hope that he would accomplish what he wanted to do: embrace his family one last time. So he calls his former colleagues to help in getting his way through the gates of Babylon.

At Sagiri's surprise, an unknown man was waiting for her at the mountain, in clothes similar to T'chul-chul's. Glancing at her with tears of sadness was Kohinoor, her father. She stops and falls to the ground on her knees in disbelief that her father would appear after such a long time.

Slowly, Kohinoor walks towards her with tears in his eyes and arms reaching out; he finally felt Sagiri in his arms again. She continues to cry and whispers to the father questions she has been wishing to ask him.

Sagiri: Why?! Why did you leave us?! Why did you come back?!

Kohinoor: Sagiri, my daughter, there is a lot of things I want to tell you, all of it will answer your questions. Come with me my child, let's go home to your mother and I will tell you everything there.

As they head home, a group of armed men suddenly appear in the forest and ask Kohinoor to stand down. Kohinoor believes they are members of the Genesis, so he hides Sagiri behind his back and tries to resist.
