Everyone, hearing what she said, eased up a bit. But still fear lingered in the air and on the faces of the students.
The surroundings crackled with an unusual and dark energy but not ominous. It was as if a- it was an unusual presence, an indescribable one.
Even the dean, the most powerful individual here couldn't put her hand on what it was. One thing she knew, it wasn't a danger to anyone's life here.
And in that moment, something happened, something came out of it. And everyones eyes locked on it. The students fainted just from its presence alone, except three, Bronach who was it's summoner, Aria and Ira.
It was a humanoid figure, it's whole body was of darkness, it's eyes and hair were crimson red. It had three eyes, the third on its forehead. It had long sharp dark fingers which seemed as if that could cut steel.
It floated just below the portal, and came down. It was now in front of Bronach, kneeling in front of him. Where he was kneeling, the grass and soil turned dark as if death had descended on them and the air too crackled with the energy of death.
"Your orders, master." It said, it's voiced tinged with the aura of death. Everyone was shocked, because for a spirit to be able to talk they had to be at least high rank.
"Who are you?" Bronach asked, his face devoid of any emotion.
"Mara is the name I'm called by in the realm of death and destruction." It said. The instructors and the dean had an inexplicable expression on their faces, mostly it was fear. The being who called itself Mara was giving them a feeling of dread, although they can sense it was far weaker than them but still they had an indescribable feeling in their chests.
"You can go back, I've no need for you now." He said.
"As you wish, my liege. Please do call me if you need me." Mara said and disappeared along with the portal in an instant.
That dark energy also vanished from the air and surroundings lighted up.
"Instructor, please move the children to their dorms." The dean said. And all of the instructors nodded their heads and got to work.
Not even thirty seconds had passed that another portal opened up in the sky, this too was huge in size. The surroundings warmed up and the grass cought on fire.
Ira saw that Aria was in front of the crystal, his hands were on the crystal. A smile was on his face.
Aria was anticipating as to what will come out, he was competitive and didn't want to fall behind Bronach.
From the portal, this time came out a dragon, a red dragon. The instructors heart stopped a beat as they've all seen or read the terror brought by a dragon. Even a weak one was on the level of S rankers.
They had never thought that a student can summon a dragon from the spirit realms.
Dragon's can't be spirits nor spirit beasts but some spirit beast after they've reached a certain level take a different form. And dragon is one of the forms.
Aria was enraptured to see this thing he had summoned.
The beast, descended from the sky and showed respect to Aria. Aria infront of it, seemed as small as a pea in front of a human.
This one too had intelligence.
"Your name?" Aria asked.
"Almandine, My lord." The beast said.
Aria was beaming with joy right. He noticed that it wasn't consuming any of his mana. He found that strange.
"Why aren't you consuming any mana?" He asked.
"My lord, those of my calibre don't need our master's mana to exist in this world, we exist solely with our own strength. Although, how much of my strength I can use in this world depends on your strength." He answered with respect.
As he said, spirits and spirit beasts of such calibre don't need someone's mana to exist in this world, and mostly those at the level of spirit kings and above can do this. But their strength depends on how much mana their summoner have. In this case, Both Aria and Bronach have their mana in EE rank, so their summons will be in D rank, two ranks above theirs. Plus when using their powers, the summon won't consume their summoner's mana but its own. Although once the summoner's mana exhausts the spirit beast would be desummoned.
Instructors and the dean were again shocked, as this was new even to them.
"Okay, can you turn into humanoid being?" He asked.
"As you wish, my lord." He said and transformed into a human with horns. He was handsome and had golden eyes and crimson red hair which cascaded down to his waist. All the ladies including the dean's heart skipped a beat seeing Almandine's handsome appearance and everyone of thought the had fallen, fallen into love. Some of them had husband's and fiance's too.
"It's my turn now, it seems." Ira said, while cracking his fingers.
He walked to where Aria was standing. And said, " Can you step aside now."
"Why not." Aria said and walked to where he was standing before, Almandine following behind him. The portal had also disappeared and the flames started to die down.
He placed his fingers on the crystal.
A few moments later, dark clouds formed and from it rain started pouring down, the atmosphere cooled away. Lightning crackled in the sky and the flames were instantly extinguished.
It was another shocker to everyone. From the clouds, something seemed to walk down. Clouds formed below it's legs.
It was an elephant to be exact and not a normal one but it was abnormal.
It was pristine white, had seven trunks and four tusks. It came down and kneeled on all four of it's legs in front of Ira.
"Airavat, your servant is at your service. Your highness." It said.
This was another shocker to everyone. This one too seemed to be of quite a high rank.
"Airavat, huh. Quite a unique name." Ira spoke.
"Stop this rain and lightning." He ordered.
"As you wish, my lord." He said and the rain stopped and the dark clouds scattered.
"Okay let's go. I don't think there'd be anymore classes today." He said while looking at the dean.
"There won't be any classes, you can go." She said.
"Well, but how will you fit in my room?" He spoke with a confused face.
"Don't worry my lord, changing my appearance is easy for me." He said.
"Oh, then transform." He said.
Airavat's whole body turned into misty clouds. It then transformed into a humanoid figure. Then he properly transformed into a human. He was extremely bulky and two meters tall. His appearance was simply divine. He had waist length misty white hair. He had crystalline misty white eyes which was extremely enchanting. Everyone, both male and female were captivated by his beauty and all of their hearts skipped a beat.
"You are handsome." He said, even he was captivated by him.
"Thank you for the praise, my lord." He spoke.
"Let's go." He spoke and started walking towards his dorm room.
After a few minutes, they entered the room. When they were walking, everyone stared at them, more like him, Airavat and was just staring at him.
