Chapter 1A boy.

It was a beautiful and sunny day. One could even say that it is a perfect day of the week. The weather was looking great, and the atmosphere was neither cold nor hot, it was, if one could say, perfect.

In this perfect day, a boy who seemed to be around fifteen was walking out of the bus. He didn't have any suitcase nor any bag on him. He got out of the bus and the bus behind him went off to its next destination.

The boy put his hands inside of his pocket and took out a phone. He looked something in the phone and turned left and went off in that direction. He walked for a few minutes and a right turn came. He took that turn and walked for a few more minutes.

A zebra-crossing came, and he stopped there because the traffic light was red. Again a few minutes later, the lights turned green, and he crossed the zebra crossing.

He now stood before a huge gate, the gate was magnificent and humongous. Big enough that three elephants could go inside side by side and still have some space left.

He entered through the gate. Inside he saw buildings so big and magnificent that he had never imagined before, the campus too was humongous. After looking around for a while, he got back to his business. He stopped someone to ask something. He found someone and tapped his shoulders.

The boy turned around. And saw a boy who was in his fifteen. The boy had black hair and spider black eyes, which was quite shocking as no one in this day and age had those features. Other than that, the boy had no unique features, he had plain and simple looks. He had an average physique.

"What?" The boy asked.

"Where can I fill admission application form?" He asked.

"Go in that direction and after you enter that building, you will find some people behind a table. You can fill the admission application form there." The boy said and left.

Following what that boy said, he left for that building. And after a few minutes he reach his destination and entered through the entrance. Not many peoples were inside the building as it was the last day of admission, and everyone had already filled in their application form.

Mostly commoners come here to fill in their application form because this place was meant only for them, rich and nobles go to separate buildings which has more facilities than ones in which normal people go in, or more like commoners which is the more a likeable term for nobility and wealthy to use for normal people.

The facilities in the building meant for nobles and wealthy are much better than the ones from the building meant for commoner. These facilities are for example, they have much better innate ability detection device than the one they have in commoners building, they also have better servicing there which is non existent in the commoners building. They have better professionals there as compared to the ones in the commoners building.

Plus, some of the children of nobility and wealthy get invitation from the academy for their children to join their academy, albeit to only those who have great talent. The academy has eyes on them because most of them come from nobility and wealthy side and if they show goodwill to them, they in return would give them donations or funds which is very fundamental for an academy of this size to run.

This was the best academy in the continent and children from all over the continent come here to study and hone their skills. The has produced many influential figures in history.

He walked towards the counter and politely asked something.

"Hello miss, can you please give me an application form?" He asked.

The lady taking in what he said took out a piece of paper and handed it to him. He took it.

"Go there and fill up your form." The lady said nonchalantly. He got there and put his form on the desk and took out a pen from the pen holder on the side and started filling up the details.

A few minutes after, he turned up to the counter and gave his form to the lady. The lady examined the form and put a stamp on it and handed it back to him and said, "Go in that room and give that to a man inside."

"Hmm." He said and went inside the as directed by her. The room was huge and there were many chairs and desks inside, it seemed like it was an exam hall.

Just as the reception lady said, there was a man facing the entire hall, like an examiner. He went to the man and handed the form to him. The man took it and checked it.

"You want to take scholarship exam, huh." He said. Scholarship exams were different from entrance exams, it also included entrance exam. Although entrance exams were hard, scholarship exams are harder and mostly commoners took it but most of them failed in it, but if they scored high enough marks, they could enter the academy easily.

To attend the academy, one needs to score eighty plus in their entrance exam or sixty plus in their scholar ship exam to enter the academy. And to get scholarship they would have to score ninety plus in scholarship exams.

"Yes." He answered.

The man took out two set of papers, one was a question sheet and the other an answer sheet. And handed it to him and said, "Take these, and go sit there, you have only three hours, answer as much as you can in that time."

He took them and went to his seat.

There only a few others writing the exams.

After around two hours passed, everyone had already left, and he was the only one remaining and he too was done. He went to the and gave the answer sheet to the examiner.

The man took it and rang a bell, and a few seconds later a man came inside he handed the papers to him and said, "Put this where scholarship answer sheets are placed."

"Take this and come back in two days. If you got your scholarship, then the academy will awaken you free of cost. If you don't get you scholarship you have to pay up for getting awakened. How you get awakened will depend on if you get you scholarship or not. On that note, will you awaken artificially or wait till it naturally happens?" The man asked, and handed him the application.

"I'll awaken artificially." To which he answered.

"And remember to bring that application form." The man said.

""You can go now." The man said to which he only replied with a "Hmm." And left.

He exited through the academy gates and started searching something. And a few moments later, he left for somewhere.

After an hour of long walk, he stopped in front of a normal looking building, and set foot into the building.

That building was a hotel. He goes up to the receptionist and showed her his Id for proof and paid up for a week of stay, that was some huge amount of money, it was one tenth of his savings.

After a minute of walking, he went into his room and got on his bed, and instantly started sleeping.

Awakening. There are two types of awakening. First is natural awakening which happens only when one reach fifteen years of age.

The second is Artificial awakening. In this case, if one who doesn't get awakened [which has a very small chance of happening] have a chance to get themselves awakened or those who want to awaken early.

But artificial is not that favored both in nobility and commoners as they think this could lead to some side effects in the future which is not the case at all.

Everyone joins the academy after they've reached sixteen years of age after they've familiarized themselves with their skills, when the academy also accepts fifteen years old and then they awaken them. But still because of the rumors no one sends their children to the academy before sixteen and getting naturally awakened.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye, and he was getting ready to go to the academy and a few minutes later he exited the hotel and went towards the academy and after a long walk, he reached his destination.

He entered the academy and leapt towards the main building and asked someone where the scholarship ranking board are. The someone pointed in one direction with his fingers. He followed where he was pointing with his eyes and went there without even thanking him to which the man was very irritated at.

He deduced from his clothing that he was a commoner and made a mental note to remember him.

Here he was oblivious to what he had done, was seeing the ranking board, along with him some few other people too were looking at the ranking board. There was only one name on the ranking and that was:

 Scholarship ranking board

  Name  Rank  Age  Score

  Ira #1  15  99/100

Everyone seeing that was shocked because even though it was the continents hardest exam, at the very least seven to eight people attempted it every year because of its notoriety and only two to three passed every year and this year only one passed, it was shocking. And it was not even lesser scholarship exam, which was 10 times easier than the scholarship exam, and 2 times harder than the entrance exam.

Lesser scholarship exam is different from scholarship exam. In lesser scholarship exam you can only study here for an academic year for free with all the services being free for only one academic year. After the academic year ends you have to either take the 2nd year scholarship or pay up for that academic year.

In the scholarship exam everything is free until you graduate.
