Avatar: Lion Turtles Champion

Four lion turtles spoke in his mind. In this turn of events the lion turtle couldn't pass on energy bending to aang. The Spirit Vaatu who was supposed to be the sealed away was free and Raava was sealed. Everything was strange and apparently the chaotic Vaatu was helping the avatar incarnations maintain balance.

So called prodigies

It was arrogant to say that I was the best here. Except I was the best here, there were some that were impressive. However I still couldn't really blame them since I was blessed by literal super turtles.

I watched as two people argued back and forth about the proper way to create a jet stream of fire. I just shook my head. In my past life I had copied everyone's skills. I was a Jack-of-all-Trades being able to get the basic skills of any skill. This had created a very narcissistic sense of pride in me. The idea of these two people arguing over a technique that worked either way you preformed it made me twitch. Should you not just copy the techniques and use them against each other?

Most of the prodigies were nobles or students of varying masters. One of them even seemed to be a fire sage in training. He was one of the ones who stayed silent only showing up to eat. He seemed to only train in his room. The people like him were the ones I was more wary of. Displaying none of there skills and hiding their power.

I counted at least 7 people to be wary of. The first was the Fire Sage trainee who's name was Jonee. The 2nd was surprisingly the guy who tried to provoke me when I first got on the boat. He had gotten in fights with many of the others around. His raw power was good, but he lacked in just about everything else. A girl with a scarf had stayed by herself, she had a note book and from what I could tell she was taking notes on people as well. The other four didn't have any outstanding features. Of the 4 only 1 had shown any skills and she was able to create animals from her flames. Which was incredible impressive, but they lacked power and really only remained a way to impress the friends she made. She created birds and a horse from fire just like a fire whip or dagger.

Over all with the help of Lime I would be fine. I had continuously fed Lime and raise his relationship bars. Paying attention to the relationship bar was relatively easy and despite the slow start of 0.5s I was able to get it to increase rapidly in time. At this point Lime followed me around copying my own movements. It was fairly cute to watch. If I put my hand under my chin thinking, he would sit down and copy my pose.

It had been about a month on the boat and according to the occupancy list everyone was now aboard. I checked Lime's progress towards me.

<Lime Reputation 87/100>

<Lime Obedience 33/100>

He would listen to me, but that seemed all his current obedience meant. It had also occurred to me I could test the Eternal Life ability on Lime. I could use it that many times in a day, but every time I did it increased Lime's reputation with me. He also grew very quickly, he would soon become a mini bodyguard.

While I was spending time checking Lime out. Siren's began to set off.

[A loud Whirring began echoing through the metal corridors causing the whir to only get louder.]

Lime covered his ears and I grabbed him along with my bag. Marching up the deck I could see a all the other occupants gathered.

"Now that we have everyone on the ship we will begin the competition for the 5 prized positions! As per instruction I will tell you the location you have to get to for the competition. If you want the chance you have to get there yourself. We are in fire nation waters so I assure you no enemies will be around. That however does not prevent the animals in the ocean from eating you. The Fire Lord wishes to see your will to survive! Sink the ship boys! All hail LORD OZAI! ALL HAIL THE FIRE LORD! GOOD LUCK!"

The officer that was speaking then dove off the ship while the engines of the ship exploded outwards. This seemed like a waste of money, but this also seemed to be an old model vessel anyway so, I couldn't complain out right. I slung my bag over Lime's back and threw him over mine.

The ship was sinking and some of the prodigies were panicking others just jumped straight off. This was an insane and stupid way to test people. I waited for the ship deck to touch water before jumping off. The propeller was still going and I was pretty sure someone would get swept into it. I shook my head as I swam toward the island that the officer pointed towards. I followed them as they rowed away on a small paddle boat to the island themselves. I was forced into this competition due to what I presume was Azula's need to be the best. I wasn't sure about others since I didn't converse other than insult those who tried to talk to me.

I chalked this whole thing up to the Fire Lord wanted Azula to have a team of elite soldiers. Azula being the obsessive perfectionist didn't like that. However still wanted to please her father, so she altered the competition to a tournament to a series of insane trials to 'test' people. Those who survive would likely be the ones to join that tournament. However it may also have been a method to dispose of the people who might even be considered a prodigy. After all she was one herself so...

The three volcanoes on the island I swam to wasn't the most, reassuring thing.

Mc is currently 15, he is same age as Azula making her 15 as well. Do math for other characters ages, if you want.
