Granted with an 'Author' exclusive skill and knowledge about this new world, I want to live a life of peace, the dream every protagonist has. I have no idea if this dream would ever come true. All I know is that this is my world and I am the one responsible for both its creation and its destruction... *** Chapter length: 1.6k+ words every chapter. I have done a lot of research on various beasts and powers before writing this novel. You will definitely enjoy reading this xD Note: The cover is original and not stolen.

Blue (End)

< Huh? Why do you ask that? >

"Certain events make me think that someone is planning my life or at least trying to do it. The streets around my house at the start of the apocalypse were empty. I encountered Bash who was clearly looking for the skill and he was a supernatural creature.

I met the one Entertainer who is slightly different from the others. I met Vin, and she had the power to help me. Everything that has happened till now is interlinked in some way."

As an author, I obviously took note of whatever that happened. I was trying to connect the dots to see if they hinted at something bigger.

I felt it was right for me to feel at least a bit suspicious instead of thinking that Plot Armor was responsible for everything.

The boy fell silent for a few minutes before speaking again.

< Well, the empty streets part and your meeting with Vin was definitely arranged… I am sorry but I can't reveal more than that… >

"Why?"

< Consequences. >

"…I see."

Consequences. Though it sounded like a simple thing, consequences were the law of the universe. Every action resulted in something different.

Every action has a consequence.

The consequence could be good or bad. It could harm you or benefit you. It could kill you or save you. But everything you do has a consequence.

"I have one more question."

< go ahead and ask. >

"What is your name?

< Of all the things you could ask, you want to know my name. >

"Yup, that's what I want to do. So, will you tell me your name?"

< I don't have a name. >

"Ohh…"

Honestly, I didn't know how to respond to an answer like that. I never met someone without a name before so this was expected.

'What if I help him here?'

An idea popped into my mind.

"Then do you mind if I name you?"

< Um, sure? >

The boy felt pretty confused. This was the first time anyone in his life wanted to ask his name. It was not like he interacted with many people

< Just make sure you don't give me a human's name or anything beast related. I can't be called by such names due to certain reasons. >

"Ohh… let me think then."

I don't know but I got the strange desire to name this boy. Maybe it was because I was tired of referring to him as the boy inside my mind.

Though if I was referring to him inside my novel, his name would be introduced after I milked 'the boy' for a longer word count.

"How about… Blue?"

Damn, that was creative or that's what I wanted to say. I simply looked at the color of his eyes and hair before giving him a name.

I was already thinking of another name when the boy's face lit up.

< Blue, I like the sound of that! >

Huh? I think I heard it correctly.

"So can I call you Blue from now onwards?" I questioned

< You named so obviously you can. I don't have any problem with it. >

To be honest, I was surprised. Blue was smiling at the name he received making me wonder if he really a young child.

However, my instincts told me that Blue was much older than he looked. The mysterious and mature vibe around him reflected his actual age.

"So, blue, what else can you tell me?"

< I can tell you that you and Vin's meeting was arranged by making sure the streets would be empty so only you would go to see her. Other than that, nothing much has changed. >

"What about the disappearance of my novel from my laptop?"

< That was a consequence. Something like that was bound to disappear sooner or later. What do you think would happen if someone got their hands on it? >

"True. I lost my laptop as well but that file is no longer there. Only you and I know everything about the novel."

< yes, only we both know everything about it. No one else knows anything about it except for those who read it. >

I sighed and messaged my forehead.

I didn't forget the fact that numerous readers had read my novel until the 100 chapters at least. Though only seven of them reached the end, I was afraid that some people might try changing the storyline.

If any of them encountered Ray and altered the plotline, everything would go wrong.

What if Ray ended up becoming evil and did not fight the Supreme Planet? What if he became a pawn in the scenarios that started destroying humanity?

Sure I could become strong by obtaining all the power ups I placed throughout the course of the novel.

I could even steal artifacts and a whole lot of other things to become strong but in the end, I could not defeat the Supreme Planet.

Ray's supporter was the only one capable of doing it. That woman had spent her entire life trying to destroy the Supreme Planet and was the only being capable in existence of doing it.

'Wait, why did she want to do it?'

Looking at Blue, I decided to ask him for information about Ray's supporter. In the novel, not much was known about her since her appearance happened during the time I was about to give up on the novel.

"Blue, can you tell me about Ray's supporter?"

Blue paused for a few seconds and closed his eyes in concentration. It looked like he was searching for the information somehow.

< Hmm, not much can be said about her. She is only mentioned as an overpowered being who lives in hiding to prevent herself from being captured by the Supreme Planet. She supports Ray because he is her hope of defeating them. >

"Why did she choose Ray specifically? I definitely thought something for this but I can't remember."

Once again, Blue closed his eyes. However, he looked confused after opening them.

< I don't think you will understand this because I can't understand this either. >

"Just tell me."

< ************* >

"Huh?"

Beeping sounds echoed inside my head.

< I said ***********. You won't understand it. I didn't understand it either. You can think of it as censorship preventing both of us from knowing more things. > Blue explained.

"You can't exactly sensor things from someone who created the novel you know. I just can't remember it."

< Fish brain memory? > Blue raised an eyebrow.

"No, I don't have that. It's just hard to remember it."

< Sure, I believe you. > Blue replied in a voice that clearly did not sound convinced.

The corners of my lips twitched after hearing this. I was being insulted by someone who… someone who?

"Blue, what exactly are you?"

< The one controlling AS. I told you. >

"You told me your job. I want to know who you are and why you are present in this place?"

A sad smile appeared on Blue's face after hearing my words.

< This place is a prison for me but I see it as a home now. As for who I am, you don't know me as I am not someone you wrote about. >

"Then?"

< I can't tell you about that. Just know that there are many forces in this world that you don't know about. Just follow the 'it is what it is' motto you have been following you entire life to prevent yourself from being depressed. >

To be honest, I felt confused after hearing Blue's words. I was also a little curious and worried about Blue's true identity and the words he was speaking.

"Seems like you can't tell me the main things I want to know."

< With time, you will get to know everything. > Blue smiled. < Looks like you are about to wake up. Stick with Vin and I think you will be fine. I think it would be best for you to use all of your power to reach the safezone even if you end up losing your consciousness. >

"I know. I planned to do that even before I came here."

Blue had described the plan I was about to follow to reach the safe zone. Even though it was reckless, it would allow me to reach the safe zone quickly.

< I will return to the previous way of speaking once you wake up. Be prepared for what is about to happen. Also, you will see an update in AS's skill information once the first scenario ends. >

I could already feel consciousness leaving the place. I was about to wake up.

"Nice meeting you, Blue. I am pretty curious about you." I smiled.

The world around me started blurring.

< You believe everything that I said? You are not afraid that I might be an antagonist? >

"No, I don't believe you. Its simply that as an author, you have to give things time before you can see the result. Sometimes the result might be bad but you can always make it better." I smiled.

Being an author was similar to growing a plan. You could take care of the seedling as well as the young plant but some undetected insect might ruin parts of your plant.

You wouldn't destroy the entire plant, right? By cutting off the damaged parts and increasing the care the plant received, you could improve the situation.

"I don't know you. I can take my final decision only after knowing more about you."

< True. Until we meet again. >

Those were the last words I heard before my vision went black.

Blue watched Michael's body turning into particles of light before vanishing. A sad smile was present on the young boy's face.

Blue stared at the sky with his blue eyes, wondering whether he would be able to save Michael in he future.

The blue-haired boy did not know how much the future could be changed. All he knew was that Michael was currently the most important person in his life.

Protecting Michael was his only task.

< Haha, one thing is still the same though. >

A chuckle escaped Blue's lips. He laid down on the ground with his back facing the ground. Blue closed his eyes and remembered the name Michael gave him.

< I still like this name… >
