Oliver vs Gerald

I had Gerald's fist right in my hand.

I wanted to end this peacefully as to not attract attention to myself like Sophia said.

I peacefully lowered his fist and he look angrily confused, "Listen Gerald lets just end this peacefully and leave the girl alone, she hasn't done anything bad." I said thinking I ended the confrontation as peacefully as I could... suddenly Wham!, I was punched right in the face, I had tunnel vision for a few seconds as I heard Gerald's snobby voice tell me "Who are you to tell me what to do new kid?" The stupid snob said to me, "I am Gerald Dallas the Third, I can suspend you and your girlfriend there with the snap of my fingers cause my father is a high ranking individual that has connections to the school-board!" I wanted the bastard to shut up, I got really angry just from hearing his stupid snobby voice and I was even more furious knowing that he was able to punch me to the ground but I didn't let it end there, I got up like he didn't even punch me at all, "you had your chance." I said to him.

I punched back as hard as possible, suddenly two of his friends tried to hold me back so Gerald could have a upperhand in the fight but I got passed them, Gerald landed another punch in my gut which knocked the wind out of me, I laid there trying to breath, "You're weak." Gerald said as he began walk up to me, he picked up his foot and looked to what to curb stomp me but I wasn't out for the count just yet, "Ato- Atom, hol- hold him back!" I said while gasping for air, Atom quickly appeared and held the brat back, everyone circling us stepped back after seeing Atom, I got right back up, I was hurt but I could still stand, I began to grow Atom's Claw and walked up to Gerald who was pinned down by Atom, I point one of my razor sharp finger under his chin.

the entire crowd gasped from shock seeing my powers and Atom for the first time, "Now listen here you listen brat, I want you to leave Lily alone for the rest of your worthless life or else I'll find you and make it look like a accident happened" I threatened the Snobby Brat, he looked like he was about pee his pants, I recalled Atom and let him go, "Ah Freak!!" He yelled out as he ran away, wasn't the first time I was called a freak, I ultimately walked away from the scene and headed towards the school gates with everyone looking and talking about me "Who was that?" "Did you see that ghost he summoned!" "Is anyone going to call the police or an administer over?"

The school day finally came to an end, I was at a bench near the school gates, I've been sitting there for a couple hours now just thinking, suddenly a familiar voice came by, I looked over to see Lily bright and happy, it disgusted me.

"Hey, Oliver!" I hear her say, I see that she has a detention slip in her hand, "Great work pal! Helping me fend off Gerald like that!" She said like it was all planned, I stayed silent, "Oliver?" She confusingly said, "Lily." I angrily said to her, "Are you trying to use me for your own personal gain?" I asked her with a angry tone in my voice, she looked confused, "what? don't be silly pal" she told me, "Why exactly would you have me at your school then?!" I yelled as I began to interrogate her, "Oliver?" She said to me but I couldn't hear it from my rage filled voice yelling at her, "What was the purpose of bringing to your damn school if all you want from me is to fix your damn problems!" I began to shout at her, "no Oliver, I-" Lily quietly said before I interrupted her, "Listen here Bunny Girl!, I am on a life or death mission to take down the bastard who ruined my life, I don't need some school girl to interfere with my mission!" I yelled at her, she stayed quiet, I would've said more to her but spared her, "Get away from me." I scolded at her as I began to walk off, I didn't look back whatsoever.

-Atom's POV-

I appeared without Oliver's command like usual, I quickly floated towards Lily who was crouched down looking like she was about to cry a river, "Don't cry Lily" I say trying to comfort her, she looks at me with her puppy eyes, "Atom?..." she said as she continued to cry, "Oliver has always been a cold hearted person for as long as I known him." I tried to explain to her.

"Days after I met Oliver something must have snapped in his brain to change him from a shy and weak kid to a Hot-headed, cold-hearted kid he is today." I explained some more, "Don't take it personally Lily, he just needs a couple of days to cool down and think.", I gave her a hug to comfort her, "Here let me get you up." I said as I held out my hand for Lily to stand up, Lily stood up and wiped her tears "Thank you Atom, if I ever see you again then I'll apologize to Oliver." She said to me, "And I'm sure Oliver will do the same." I told Lily, if it was up to me I would try to give him anger management but I think he'd try to kill me if I did. "Alright Atom, I'll probably see you soon, I need to get home now." Lily told me, I waved bye to her and went back into Oliver's conscious, in his conscious I could sense Oliver was still angry at Lily but somewhat apologetic for yelling at her to the point of tears.

I knew Oliver had a soft spot for her.
