Chapter 10: Hysteria

Masuo had brown curly hair and a wide smile as he let Hikoto go. His kuragaze eyes were activated as he looks at Kaito menacingly.

Kaito was still running to Masuo wanting to punch him but as he did, Masuo dodged and it made Kaito almost trip. Kaito was breathing heavily.

Masuo - "You're too slow!!"

Kaito looks down at Hikoto, he wasn't dead, he was just unconscious. Masuo chuckles,

Masuo - "You should be Kaito, Hikoto's friend?"

Kaito looks at Masuo in hatred wanting to punch him hard in the face.

Masuo - "Anyways, end of the talk."

He runs to Kaito and punches him hardly. Kaito flies across the alley and hits an abandoned bus that was in the big alley.

Kaito - "AGH…"

Masuo walks up to Kaito and impales him in the chest with only his arm. Kaito's eyes widen as he spits out blood,

Masuo - "Your skin and flesh is so tender, my arm passed through like butter."

Due to the attack, Kaito's kuragaze eye activates and he looks down in pain, he grunts.

Kaito - "Grr…"

Masuo looks at Kaito shocked.

Masuo - "You're a hybrid? You're even… an aswong? I thought you were just a regular human… oh well, increases the fun… also, fun fact, you hybrids can die even without getting your neck getting decapitated making it easier to kill ya."

Kaito looks up at him and then back at Hikoto. He was scared that his friend was about to die.

Kaito - "don't kill Hikoto… please…"

Blood dripped out of his mouth and his chest. Masuo smiles as he walks up to Hikoto and puts his foot on Hikoto's face.

Masuo - "Make me."

Kaito holds his wound in pain as he tries to get up, finally, he gets up and slowly walks up to him. Masuo laughs to himself, he says in a mocking tone,

Masuo - "COME ON, GRANDMA!! HA HA HA!!!"

As Kaito gets to Masuo, he weakly tries to punch him but Masuo dodges with ease. Masuo kicks Kaito with strong power which makes him fly across the alley.

Kaito - "Gahh!"

*Hikoto… don't die… please*

Masuo stomps Hikoto's head which makes him bleed from the forehead. He says in a mocking tone,

Masuo - "Come on!! I said… make me."

A Hikarikagitsume comes out of his back and he puts one of the spiky tenticules a couple centimeters next to Hikoto's eye.

Masuo - "I have a question, when exactly were you planning to eat him?"

Kaito grips himself onto a wall and slowly gets up. He says in a very weak voice,

Kaito - "Hikoto… is… not food…"

Masuo rolls his eyes and looks at Kaito exhausted,

Masuo - "Yeah, yeah, just say that you want him for yourself. You guys been friends for a long time, huh? Just tell me, when and where were you planning to eat him?!"

He says in a menacing tone.

Kaito walks up to Masuo with the strength he has and starts running trying to punch him again. But once again, his punches were too weak and he dodged them all. Masuo kicks Kaito in the chest and Kaito flies to the roof of the alley and goes back down to the ground. Kaito spits blood to the ground,

Kaito - "BAH!! get… your… foot… off… Hikoto…"

Masuo removes his foot from Hikoto's face and walks up to Kaito. He had a wide smile,

Masuo - "Which one should i kill first? You? Or Him?"

Kaito was breathing heavily, Masuo grabs him by the hair and starts smashing his head on the floor,

Masuo - "ANSWER ME!!"

Kaito doesn't answer, blood drips from his forehead, mouth and nose because of the smashing on the floor. Masuo groans in disappointment,

Masuo - "Fine."

He lets Kaito go and walks back up to Hikoto and points his Kagitsume to Hikoto's face.

Masuo - "Hikoto, it is."

Kaito thinks to himself,

Kaito - *No… this can't be happening…*

He gets a flashback of he and Hikoto as kids laughing in class and in recess, the good moments together, the time where they first met.

Kaito - *I can't let my best friend die, i can't let my only friend die.*

The flashback stops and Kaito was still laying on the ground, the tentacle going closer and closer by the second.

Masuo - "Say your last words to your friend!!"

Kaito's kuragaze eye becomes enraged and it widens. Kaito thinks to himself,

Kaito - *This can't happen, i can't… ACCEPT THAT!!!"

A 3 red tentacles come out of Kaito's lower back and Kaito gets back up intimidatingly. Kaito's face was full of hatred and rage. He felt his own blood boil, he says in a menacing tone,

Kaito - "No, i don't think you understand… the one will die here… is you."

Masuo's eyes widen as he looks at Kaito's kagitsume. He thinks to himself,

Masuo - *This is a custom kagitsume, only a hybrid could have one.*

Kaito strikes his tentacles to Masuo but he dodges.

Kaito - "RAA!!"

His wound on the chest slowly regenerates as he continues to attack Masuo but he dodges them but with difficulty. Masuo thinks to himself in panic,

Masuo - *His attacks are too quick, i can't keep dodging!!*

Masuo sees a weak spot in Kaito's defences.

Masuo - *If i attack there, then i might have a chance.*

Masuo launches himself in the air and tries to slash Kaito's weak spot but before before he knows it, Kaito's kagitsume is already piercing him. Masuo is suspended in the air by Kaito's kagitsume, Kaito pierces Masuo again, again, again, again, again, again, again, again, again, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN!!

Kaito - "DIE!!!!!"

He screams out in rage.

Until Masuo was full of holes, Masuo spits out blood, finally, Kaito slashes Masuo's head off which causes him to fall to the ground and die.

Kaito's eye goes back to normal and he looks at the complete bloodbath in horror, he starts shaking and his breath starts shaking too. He looks at his bloodied hands, he thinks to himself,

Kaito - *I did this? Me? I killed a man!!*

He starts tearing up but he remembers that Hikoto was here, on the ground, unconscious. Kaito walks up to Hikoto in worry.

His kuragaze eye deactivates and it looks like a normal brown eye now.

Kaito - *i hope he's still alive…*

Kaito's stomach suddenly rumbles, he holds it in pain and he bends over while holding it.

Kaito - "Gahh…"

Suddenly, a sadistic voice speaks in Kaito. He says in a distorted, terrifying voice,

The Voice - "Look at your friend."

Kaito looks at Hikoto and Kaito could imagine Hikoto on a kitchen plate while he was a knife and a fork.

The Voice - "Do you see it now?"

Kaito's kuragaze eye reactivates and he smiles insanely, he is losing his mind.

Kaito - "Yes…"

Kaito chuckles maniacally as the hunger is slowly taking control. Suddenly, his face goes back to a face of horror. His voice was shaking,

Kaito - "What am i saying…? Am i going insane?!"

The Voice - "Come on, you know you want to."

Kaito smiles insanely again as he slowly walks up to Hikoto.

Kaito - "That's right… i know i want to… hehe…" He was literally drooling at this point, he was half a meter away from Hikoto's body.

He falls to his knees. His voice was literally insane,

Kaito - "Hikoto is my…"

The Voice - "friend"

Kaito - "yeah… he's my friend… he's my friend so I have to be the one to eat him!!!"

Kaito grabs Hikoto's arm, ready to bite down into it.

Suddenly, Shino arrives in front of Kaito. She looks down at Kaito and she says in a cold tone,

Shino - "Looks like you're giving into your cravings."

Kaito looks up at her with hunger and he says in an angry tone,

Kaito - "Go!"

Shino - "Are you sure you wanna devour your friend? I mean… once you're finished… all that's gonna be left is a bloody mess, organs all over the place and mostly guilt. I'll ask again, are you sure you wanna devour your friend?"

Kaito - "LET ME EAT!!"

Kaito jumps on Shino planning to attack her too but she prepares her fist and punches him right in the face, making him go unconscious…
