Shock

Byron was watching the match Green Valley had today.

He wore a large cloak to hide his distinct features; so people don't recognize him. He would've sat with his family in their VIP Room, but he knew that his fourth sister would annoy the shit out of him.

He decided to watch the match in hopes that Adonis would show off his strength when he did; he would use the eyeglass artifact he has to examine Adonis's cultivation; to see what he has that makes him capable of doing what he does. He would then have the upper hand when he faces Adonis again.

'In the case that he's cheating, I'll expose it and make him fall even further!'

Byron silently watched the fights, waiting for Adonis to appear.

Adonis came out and waved to his family again. He looked at his enemy and knew it'll be a relatively easy fight again.

His opponent put their full focus on him and prepared for the blast of fire that'll come their way.

'Luckily, I have a Sky Grade Defensive Technique 80% quality!'

His opponent is confident that they can block Adonis's attack.

The fight started, and Adonis used Orbital Sun x1 and Inferno again; his opponent immediately used their technique, 'Crystal Guardian' A giant Golem made of crystals came out of the ground and blocked Inferno. The golem was struggling, but with the assistance of its creator, it could hold on.

Adonis could outlast the golem, but there's no reason for him to wait that long. He used Orbital Sun x2, and the blast of fire transformed into twice its size. When his opponent saw the fire grow, they thought, 'He wasn't using his full power??!!'

The golem was devoured by flames and his opponent's barrier immediately broke when it was hit. Adonis pulled back his flames when they hit the shield around the arena; the arena's floor now had a path of black that ended with the entire right side covered in smoke and ash. In the end, lay a person with most of their robes scorched and burn marks on their body; healers came out and started to attend to the injured person.

Adonis saw this and walked away, he felt a pang of guilt since the person didn't deserve to have severe wounds, but at the same time, it was a fighting tournament, so injuries were to be expected. He shook it off and went back to the Team's room, where he heard the announcement of Green Valley winning the match.

Byron was beyond shocked.

He came in, expecting him to see Adonis's secret, but he came out with even more questions.

'WHAT WAS THAT!?? HIS FIRE AFFINITY IS TOO BIG!! WHY IS IT THAT WHEN HE SPINS HIS MANA AROUND HIS AFFINITY IT BECOMES STRONGER??!'

'Lastly...why...IS HIS MANA SO FUCKING PURE??!!?!!'

Byron felt his brain fry at all the questions and no answer. Adonis became a person of mystery that he couldn't figure out, and when people are met with the unknown, they start to grow afraid of it.

'He's too strong!!! I need to get rid of him...AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!'

Byron was certain. He would face Adonis soon. Adonis had too many mysteries and possible trump cards to take lightly. If he does nothing, he knows it to be his loss. This frustrated Byron to a large degree; the brother that he always saw as trash would be the one to defeat him on one the grandest stages in the world; the thought made it enough for bile to come up his throat and fear to grip his heart.

Even if he had to resort to underhanded tactics, he would do anything so Adonis would not be at full power when he fights him, or better yet, he wouldn't have to fight him at all. He started to think of a way to end Adonis.

However, his desperation was so potent that it attracted an evil presence.

'A boy desperate to get rid of someone, I could use that~."

The evil presence started to watch over Byron.

In the Lock Family suite,

"Wait. So, he wasn't showing his full power already!!?" The fourth sister said with shock and frustration.

"Nope, apparently not," The first sister said in response.

"Considering the size of his affinity, Adonis is most likely still not showing his full power." The second brother said calmly.

"Oh god!" The fourth sister felt tired from her constant pondering of Adonis's strength.

'This isn't good for my brain. Let's see my other sibling's reaction~.'

The fourth sister looked at her third brother and sister's reaction; they had decided to come to see if the rumors of Adonis were true.

The third brother had silver hair and vermillion eyes, he wore a black and white regal suit that greatly complimented his looks.

The third sister had long fiery red hair and vermillion eyes, she wore a red and white dress that made her beautiful and hot.

They both had dazed eyes and mouth agape; they were so flabbergasted; that they were still processing what they saw.

"Hello? Third brother? Third sister? Are they ok?" The fourth sister said, confused.

"I'm sure they're fine; they're simply too surprised by what happened," The first brother answered.

Finally, the third siblings awoke from their daze.

"What."

"The."

" "FUCK?!?!" "

The third siblings couldn't keep their calm after what they saw.

"Are you positive that was our fifth brother?!" The third brother said with hope that it wasn't.

"Positive," The second brother said with no doubts.

"Couldn't it be someone that looks similar to him...?" The third sister said, hesitatingly.

"Our family spies have already confirmed their identity; he is our younger brother, Adonis." The first sister said' matter of factly.

The third sister wanted to say more, but because her first sister answered her, she knew to keep her mouth shut.

The third brother tried to think of a logical reason to answer what happened. He couldn't come up with anything and started to think of people that might know, and only one person came to mind instantly.

His father, Balthasar.

Although he was somewhat hesitant, his want' to know the secret behind Adonis's strength was greater.

"Father, do you know something about Adonis that we don't?"

Balthasar looked at his third son and was silent; this gathered the other sibling's attention. He then closed his eyes and shook his head.

The third brother felt disappointment; he knew his father probably had the answer; he just didn't want to tell any of them. He was right.

Balthasar already knew how Adonis grew so strong. He didn't ponder on it and internally thrived in the joy he was feeling seeing Adonis out of his depressive state.

He couldn't help but thank his ancestor for giving Adonis this chance.
