Blood Deal

The Heaven Sword Sect is currently having a small party with each other.

"To think we'd make it this far despite everything," An Ascent stage disciple said.

"Granted, all of our opponents were pretty weak," Another disciple responded.

"Well, it gave good experience for the younger ones in the group."

The Heaven Sword Sect team had 7 Ascent Stage disciples and 3 Refinement Stage disciples; the sects they have fought through so far have been easily defeated.

"Umm...are you sure we'll be fine with our next opponents?" One of the Refinement Stage disciples questioned the others.

Their next opponents were the Green Valley Sect, the unknown sect that came to light with their talented disciples.

"Don't worry; they only have four people that could defeat us. We outpower and outnumber them in cultivation." One of the more confident disciples reassured the nervous disciple.

"Don't count them out yet; they may have something even more surprising in store." said the "Leader" of the group, Diego.

Diego is a commoner but has an amazing talent for the sword. He was founded by one of the elders and was personally taught by them. He is considered the most talented disciple of the Heaven Sword Sect.

"What more could they have? They've already shown all their members." Said the confident disciple.

"They haven't shown the full power of the Lock kid," Diego answered.

One of the reasons people started to notice the Green Valley Sect was Adonis; he defeated both of his opponents with one technique and set the record for the fastest win in All-Sect tournament history.

"C'mon, Diego, do you actually believe that rumor that he is a child of the Lock Head?"

"Considering his firepower, I wouldn't think the rumor is entirely false."

People still didn't know Adonis's origin; most people think he is from a minor family of the Locks. Some people tried to figure out where Adonis was from but were never heard from again.

"I get that, but don't you think he would be part of a bigger sect if he is from the Lock family?"

Many people didn't believe the rumor due to this question.

"True, but make sure to stay aware of all options," Diego warned his fellow disciples.

A knock was heard on the door.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

The disciples look at the door curiously.

"Let me check." Diego went to the door and opened it to find a hotel staff member there.

The hotel staff looked at Diego with a smile and said, "Mr. Diego, please bring three people with you. A special guest wants to see you."

After the hotel staff member said that, they stood on the side, waiting for Diego and three other disciples.

Diego was confused but decided to go along with it; he picked three Ascent Stage cultivators to come, and they were guided down to the lobby. They then went into a room on the left and were shocked by who they saw.

"Hey there, Diego. Long time no see." Byron Lock is there, calmly sitting on a couch.

Diego and the other three immediately grabbed their swords from their spatial bags, surrounded Byron, and pointed their blades at him.

"Well, that's one way to say hello," Byron quipped.

"What do you want, traitor!!" Diego stared daggers at Byron.

Six months ago, the Heaven Sword Sect used to be a huge sect that had the potential to be on par with the 5 Grand Sects. They had vast amounts of resources, land, money, and power. One of the things they aspired to be was to be one of the 5 Grand Sects, but what stood in their way was the Templar Sect, which had the same teachings and cultivation practice as the Heaven Sword Sect.

They knew they would stand in the way of their climb to the top. So, when they gathered enough power, they waged war against the Templar Sect.

When two sects go to war against each other, it's called a Sect War. When this happens, both sects go through many procedures, negotiations, and meetings to create rules and prepare for the war. During this time, the Imperial family and possibly the Great Families choose an Area for the sects to have their fight in and evacuate all people that aren't involved in the war.

After all that, the war between the two sects can commence. During the Heaven Sword-Templar War, both sects had their fair share of victories and defeats. This showed that the Heaven Sword Sect had a chance at winning if it wasn't for the rat that lived inside their walls.

Byron had joined the Heaven Sword Sect before the war started; during his time there, he showed kindness to the disciples and loyalty to the sect. The sect was elated to have someone like Byron on their side until they realized it was all an act.

One night, all of the documents that recorded their plans of attack; told the whereabouts of their secret bases, all of their disciple's identities and powers, and some treasures were stolen. Byron went missing on that night as well. Before they knew it, the Templar Sect had breached their defenses.

The situation turned one-sided as the Templar Sect destroyed any plans or defense the Heaven Sword had. Eventually, the Sect Leader of the Heaven Sword Sect saw no chance of winning and surrendered to the Templar.

It was revealed later that Byron Lock joined the Templar Sect some time ago, and the Heaven Sword knew they lost the war due to him.

Back to the present, Diego remembered all the events that happened and now the Heaven Sword Sect was only a High-end mid-tier Sect, all due to the bastard that stood before him.

Byron felt nothing at their anger and said what he was there for.

"I came here to make a deal with you all."

Diego and the other three felt their anger soar.

"DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO MAKE A DEAL WITH US!!!?" Yelled one of the other disciples there.

"Fuckin' Hell!! Why are you yelling?! People are sleeping!"

Byron continued, "And yes, I have a right to make a deal. Despite our past, we can still make them, right?"

Diego wanted nothing more than to cut down the bastard before him but calmed down and said, "What deal do you want anyways...?"

Byron smiled at this, "Simple, I want some people dead. In exchange, I'll give you these."

Byron grabbed his Spatial Bag and pulled out four swords. These swords were high-grade artifacts, 3 Sky Grade Excellent-Quality and one Sky Grade Perfect-Quality.

The four were shocked to see such high-grade weapons in front of them, these swords were something they could only dream to obtain. All of their eyes shined wanting to have them.

Byron smirked and said, "Now, shall we make a deal?"
